Never thought I would see a GM A-Body 3:37 on here. I have had 10 of them, 5 wagons & 5 sedans, ranging from 1982-1992. They were great cars, especially the 90's wagons with the port-injected 3.3 liter V-6 & 4-spd OD A/T.
That you left the crashed cars and dummies there made it so many crazy good scenes happen LOL.

I think its just satisfying to witness the sheer quality of the physics engine in action. Even if not a game dev or programmer myself, I am still marveled by what it can achieve.

The cinematic camera is great stuff for this video. Wish the stairs were near infinite so we could see the cars got to pure failure. Good stuff

On my new pc I can run it realtime, but I like to control the slow motion in editing, so I record it in 4x slow motion.

It is much fun to play and mess around with, all though you obviously need a higher-end computer to run the game, it is pure fun for car and destruction lovers

I know where these giant stairs are and yes- a lot of people try driving their cars down them and really get messed up.
That’s why I always take the giant escalator a kilometer away.
Not being a gamer, it took me until the first car started shedding the passenger to realize that it was a game. Pretty realistic play!

I use the replay system and the camera tool in the world editor :)

This is why I always avoid the stairs during rush hour. It’s like people just forget how to drive when four or five flights of stairs appear in the road

I was born in 1980 and i saw a lot of the evolution when it comes to realistic physics in simulations according to cars. I remember watching a documentation in the late 80s and they had the latest and best hardware and software they could get to simulate a car crash. It was not even close to what we have today!
And also finally home computers are capable of doing this stuff^^
Next step would be the windows... i recognized that windows aren't shattering at high impacts sometimes. And having that, breaking car glass and seeing the shards flying around would be rad^^
Imagine a windshield shattering as it does. There's so many intricate details to simulate.
it's still a game... a game with advanced physics according to damage. but still a game
