@bishoprook2616 he was indeed with varna system but he was against the discrimination, the same gandhi started wedding ceremonies with dalit in place of a pandit for the rituals and did kanyadan himself and for this the founder of gita press went against him so who was the bigger casteist? Someone who respected varna system but was against the discrimination and hatred on the basis of caste or the founder of gita press who went against gandhi and every person who tried to end the discrimination? That's what he said there's a difference in being religious and communal, gandhi grew up in a whole different era and if the bad aspects of person cancels out all his good deeds than my brother no one is perfect neither modi nor gandhi. So try to look through the scenarios considering the situations of that particular era and the impact of the decisions of authority on common people. Btw the same gita press who supported sati system, prints what a women should be like which is completely mysogynist and who believed in supremacy of a particular caste recently won gandhi peace prize so does the government supporting casteist and mysogynist bodies? If yes then how can they criticize gandhi over casteism? And with all due respect i have nothing against you or any of my fellow country men. Because in the end we are on the very same page

So many intellect and educated ppl in Parliament, yet we voted an uneducated.
That is why the idea of your MP is important. The guy at the top is not enough, the death eaters around him/her are the ones who do all the work that can make or break a nation.
That is the crux of the problem. And ppl don't realise, long term this mindset with which they have hailed the current govt, in the future we the ppl stand to lose. Quality of intellectuals eventually will die, and when that happens, we just become a country of automatons, which is what th e current govt aims, as that would be an easy ideal rule of a bereft of intelligence, substance, integrity leadership.
If our parliament has more learned/ educated leaders like Jha. Then only we will be moving towards becoming Vishwa Guru.
Indians always wax lyrical about "education". Education for Indians is a means to an end only. Education provides a job and a wage. In most progressive countries Education is an opening of the mind and looking at society differently. Unlike educated Indians who are ultra religious with the caste system arranged marriages within religion caste class status, respect for patriarchy and parents without challenging their regressive mindset!
