Put the extra piece (metal bar) between the front legs, just under the bottom of the griddle (on the cart)! It is metal, so, you can use it to put your magnets on, that hold your utensils! Not sure if that's what it's for...but, it works nicely in that capacity!!

Where did you get that piece to prevent the grease from going to the grease tray

Does the grease trap guard melt, it is made of plastic and it does not say the temp it can withstand before melting.
