I have had mine about a year. I think it’s great! I don’t like the dome top when doing omelets and your right it cool to fast when putting food on it. I have a Pit Boss ceramic and love that. So when it’s cold outside I use the electric inside and warm I cook outside with propane outside. Best of both worlds. Thank you.
I'm a camper and I owned this for my home. I bought the Camping Blackstone offered at Walmart and it's fantastic! This unit just does not make enough heat. Not for camping at all. I was excited about being able to have one because we have a condo and can't have open flame, but this didn't work for me. My son got it.
I have the 17 inch model and love mine. Another thing to piggy back of what you said about the metal appliances, also DO NOT use sprays like Pam that contain lecithin. It will damage the non stick top
I ditched the blackstone due to it being very heavy for size and keeping it clean was a huge task. Bought a camping stove and a nonstick square skillet. It was the best decision I ever made. Very portable and so easy to keep clean. Don’t have to worry about rust either.
Oh if you have enough power it'd be perfect for tailgating. A lot of trucks with AC power outlets don't have the wattage for it but if you have a generator or something I think that's a match made in heaven
I wanted to like it! Biggest piece of junk I own from blackstone. Top warped then started to peel, put a burger in it and the temp drops and takes forever to rebound. Glass top is a PITA to clean.
I really liked the material it was coated with, that thing was as non stick as non stick can be. But it just wasn't for me. Too big for upper cabinets, can't do a good sear with it... C'est la vie 🤷♂️
I just got one after watching this vid, biggest hunk of shit I ever buy will got to 500 put 3 stakes on drop to 300 and stayed, my 6 Doller hot plate dose a way better job, this thing is a slow cooker or defroster at best.
Yea I'm afraid I have to agree. They should have stuck with the outdoor stuff. Kinda ran the name through the mud with the several hundred dollar indoor hotplate IMO...

Definitely agree. It's a neat product but it it's not a one size fits all kinda thing

Good for tailgating??

@@theneighborskitchen Awesomeness. Sounds like a jackery generator would be ideal!

110V, that's you're problem right there! 3600 watts on single socket here in the EU ftw
My friend! You are correct!
Clutch Mr. Mom reference.
The outdoor Blackstone griddles are not cast iron. They are carbon rolled steel.
