10/10 in every fucking way. The musicianship is incredible. The sound production is fantastic. The lights, stage presence, and camera-work are fantastic. Archenemy clearly puts in a tremendous effort into everything they do. Definitely in my impossible-to-further-rank top 5. Cradle, Dimmu, Archenemy, Metallica, and Nightwish (Anette era). \m/
Won't necessarily argue with you about Nightwish being #1 but the Anette era??? That's literally the worst of all 3 versions. I will understand either Tarja(best Imho) or Floor eras but Anette? Also I wouldn't have put all 5 bands in the same ranking list, there are too many differenced between them. Most notably harsh vocals vs clean vocals if nothing else. Personally I don't mind comparing male and female vocalists on the same list but many others separate the 2 as well. Stylistically they're pretty different too but that's neither here nor there.
Avid fan of Arch Enemy no matter if Alissa or Angela is singing. They're both phenomenal IMO, and I can't ever get enough of hearing their killer vocals!
She is awesome, but, geez, I miss Angela so bad.

si algunos de nosotros criticamos, es por que tambien somos musicos, y entendemos que se debe de mantener un cierto nivel de calidad y fidelidad en nuestra musica, este genero es muy demandante a la hora de ejecutarse , y es intelectualmente superior a otros generos populares, y al menos pienso yo que asi se debe de mantener. ademas si solo la pura rabia se expresara y no se le pusiera importancia a la calidad, esto seria una total broma, seria como ver a niños de secundaria jugando a tocar instrumentos.

She tries too hard to be badass. And honestly I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up makeing Arch Enemy all about her like she did with the agonist. The album with her was good but shes always gotten on my nerves

Not gonna lie I really don't like how the vocals sound in this recording, not sure if its the long tour, a bad day, just not able to pull off the song that night (though personally i wasn't a fan even of the studio version of as the pages burn). However, when I saw AE live last week it was an absolutely fantastic show and Alissa did amazingly.

I mean no negativity here, but Arch Enemy just no longer sounds like live perfection. The thing I liked about them was Angela sounded far better live, and everything else sounded really good. I think Alyssa sounds much better on record than here. To be fair, I do actually like the new album now, and she is growing on me. Just wish I could see them with Chris playing for them before the tour ends. But then Jeff Loomis should be... interesting. Such a crazy combo.
Yeah. Angela has many years of experience on her with constant live growls. But Alissa is definitely getting there.

Que buen trabajo hace Alissa en arch enemy. Jamás habrían encontrado mejor reemplazo para Angela gossow. Su gutural es brutal pero su voz melódica que usaba en the agonist es mucho más hermosa
I've seen them with Angela and Alyssa and i think they both kicked ass. Angela is a powerhouse and Alyssa looks like a fairy from Hell. The only thing i noticed is that Alyssa is still taking over Angela's place and not being herself. The gestures, the clenched fist, that's a lot like Angela. maybe it's a form of emulation made by Alyssa as a tribute. I bet Angela is one of her idols.

The lead singer is smoking hot, I wish she sung understandable words. But Still I like this type of music and like death metal vocals, it just seems odd coming from a lady. Arch Enemy rules tho and I like a lot of their music. See you in Denver in 2 weeks!

Vocals are kind of weak here. She mostly just sounds tired and sounds like she might be trying to pitch scream. I know she can do better, she's much better on the album and on the old Agonist albums.
Man, she sings like that for 1 hour and a half every fucking night, of course she's tired.
Thomas Hornstein i've been on Dark Tranquillity show after they gave few concerts within 4 days at row. Mikael wasnt even close to be tired, and burn dancefloor as a dragon. So if you pro singer, which Alis obvious is, you have to make show every time you appears on the stage.

It's not often that I become fan of a old band that has been in action for years but Arch Enemy got new fan this summer ('15) when I saw them live. Rather big thank you goes to Alissa since I prefer her so much over the old singer.
Now if I am listening old albums and find nice song I quickly try to find live video where Alissa sings it.

I like Alizzas voice a lot better then the other girl. ...she just sounded like many of the bands out there were that's not singing anymore is more like pig squealing and at a huge point lost it in the middle of the song, to each is own taste Arch Enemy before Alizza was like old news....same with Alizzas old band the agonist as a team they really sucked but as a new arch enemy band I love them as a great band can't stop listening.
