I really need to get around to watching garo. I remember starting it back in like 2009 and dropping it for some reason then did the same more recently a couple of years ago. No Idea why I can't seem to finish it, when I've seen the Anime adaptions and enjoyed them. It just sucks there seems to be no way to watch the the original series anymore legally since the blu rays are oop. Hopefully another company puts it out that cares more.
I think from an Instagram post (from the Garo account, the first one with an interview with the new Hagane knight) I believe that Hagane wo Tsugu Mono will only be 12 episodes. 😢
So within almost the last half a decade Toku has become apart of my life. I watch the core four, Sentai, Rider, Ultraman and Metal Heroes. Garo is something that in concept I thought was a great idea (I mean a Toku version of the Marvel character Blade), but I could never understand the order. Even after watching this that's the case. Not your fault at all, I'm always impressed with how in depth you go with all of these kinds of videos (Can't wait for the Sentai one). Just wanna say though I do find it interesting
It sounds like a perfect thing for me to start getting in to just to a break from the Happy Go Lucky Power Rangers, especially after watching all of those Happy Go Lucky Power Rangers that the Power Rangers Official Channel has been Uploading recently. I need no I'm grave something that is Dark and is also Power Rangers Related.
I really need to get into Garo. I just wished there were more official ways to watch the show. I know there's a bunch of episodes and such on the official youtube channel...but still.

Have NEVER heard of this at all, which makes sense cause I don’t know shit bout Toku tbh, but this sounds interesting! Sounds like a pain in the ass to find though. Definitely sounds like it has a Berserk vibe, which I like. And you should read Berserk.
@@Soundout12 1997 is the only valid Anime adaptation. Reading is definitely the right direction for Berserk, but ‘97 gives the aesthetics to see if you’re into it.
I don't think there's an issue with Makai Knights being all male because it's not like the series lacks when it comes to good female characters who can hold their own even without armor. In addition, they have their own skills that make then unique.
@@Soundout12 Exactly, if you gave them armor they'd be just another group of Makai Knights and their unique skills might get put on the back burner. Not to say that Makai Knights are unique either, but I think the priestesses each have a unique style and flair that could be lost if you slapped an armor on them.

When people won't take my word on the virtues of GARO, I'll be sure to send this their way 😁 Additional recommendation for those more familiar with PR/SS: Shougeki Gouraigan. Basically the polar opposite of GARO in regards to tone (and substance), but still retaining Amemiya's ornate, magical style. And nudity, of course!
I remember getting all the Kraken releases when they came out, and while I have no idea where I put volume one season one is I am glad I got them when I did, even if the CR store has like, a bunch of them for three dollars during their Black Friday sale. Which hurt more so in that not enough people bought them. I still think Garo could have been huge if it aired dubbed on TV on like Sci Fi channel back in the late 2000s. I also could have sworn there was a female Knight for a pachinko game, named Yaiba, but when I looked it up apparently it's a armor, still intended for a man, just made to look female, for some reason, so go figure. Anyway this reminded me I still need to watch all the anime, and while it looks like Vanishing Line is in a odd state on Amazon, when I look it can only be bought from other sellers, the others seem in good stock, so I'll have to get that soon. I had no idea about the Fang of God movie so I appreciate you making this.
I'm glad I was able to inform about the movie! The Yaiba armor is such a weird thing, but so is most of the Pachinko lore. I could do a whole video on the Panchinko games
I've been wanting to give Garo a shot for a long time now, being a fan of Amemiya's work. I've been tempted to get one of those Malaysian bootlegs that have like... the first 6 series or something on them, but it's great to get some insight on where to begin and what my non-bootleg options are! Man, and to think I started watching your videos when I was like... 15 (30 now) with your reviews of KRDK figures... Time flies.
Here’s to hoping someone like Discotek or the likes gets ahold of the the distribution rights, though not sure when that’ll be cause I’m not sure if Kraken Media still holds the rights even if the Blu-ray’s are out of print
