Alot of the new editions of the Bible, ESV I know for sure, use the Dead Sea Scrolls for the Old Testament. There are slight changes in wording. But the overall picture hasn't changed. Dr. Michael Heiser (PhD in Biblical Hebrew and Semitic language and MA in Ancient Near East History) uses the Dead Sea Scrolls in a lot of his work. He fills in the blanks by explaining biblical hebrew. The Bible comes to life when you see it through the eyes of ancient Israelite. Its quite amazing. Anyway if your curious I know he is one of the few scholars that takes the time to bring context of the whole Bible to anyone who wants to listen.

Why is it saying in some parts of the world they're trying to designate the Bible as hate speech. How many times over the thousands of years has this occurred without our knowledge by unscrupulous individuals and even prior to the Dead Sea Scrolls. I am not saying here that we should not believe the Bible what I am saying though is that every word of it may not be the truth, we do not know but I do believe it is the closest thing that we have to the truth so we should believe it in total until it is proven by God himself to be untrue. This might take the form of discovering ancient documents to confirm what we have today is actually the truth and to what extent it might have been changed. If it Remains the Same today as it was back then why do we have so many versions. If it was the same it would in fact be the same version they would not be multiple versions. In some cases where there may be a change it wouldn't matter but there are places where one letter would change the whole meaning of the message that was being conveyed. Since there are so many versions We have no clue which one is the truth or if any of them are the absolute truth. While the original may have existed early on I highly doubt it exists anymore today unless by some miracle it could exist on a stone or perhaps preserved in glass somehow.
They say that an archaeologist has found the original Ten Commandments in the original Ark of the Covenant. I hope that is true and that at some point in the remainder of my life that I get to see and compare what it actually says as opposed to what our history books and our Bible says, to see if it matches. Another interesting tidbit I understand that when they decoded the human genome that as it turns out there is a lot of so-called junk DNA. It may not be junk at all. It might be a great message left behind by our maker should we ever acquire the technology to decipher it. It seems to me that would be a new endeavor well worth exploring. Who knows what kind of treasures we might find if that turned out to be true.

ripe for disciples. Or did it happen a few decades later leading into the 70 CE destruction of Jerusalem? I’m more inclined to think it was just before Jesus. Maybe even influenced by John the Baptist. Hopefully we will keep learning more.

The essenes were based in Ein Gedi not Qumran. The Qumranites are Zadok priest who were exiled around the time of 70 AD and destruction of the temple. And yes John could have been one of them. He ate locust and honey which was accepted to be eaten when a priest was in the wilderness.
Jhn 1: 28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.
He was baptising in Bethabara which is right next to Qumran at the north of Dead sea. Ein Gedi is on the west side in center of Dead sea.
Melchizedek is translated so but there is no E next to Z or K in hebrew so could be Melchi-zadok. A priest hood which messiah belongs too according to bible commentary.

Yah has shown and taught me so much... the correlates to my time in Israel. I now am a Christian who keeps Torah. I believe that they were not the Essense but in fact the Zadok Priest Hood that was out in the wilderness and John was the rightful High Priest as the Pharisees had usurped the Priesthood during the Macabeean revolt. I think the Dead Sea scrolls show that in the New Testament... Jesus was indeed on a different calendar than the Pharisees. He was on the Zadok Calendar that lined up with Davids schedule. Jesus told Christians to pray for God's Kingdom to come and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. God's Kingdom is a heavenly government ruled by Jesus Christ as King. Soon Jesus as King of kings will bring beautiful changes to the earth. There will be no more death, pain or sorrow on earth, Revelation 21:4,5. No more wickedness on earth, Psalms 37:9-11; John 3:16. The righteous hearted meek ones will inherit the earth and live forever on it , Psalms 37:29; Matthew 5:5, Proverbs 2:21,22. The earth will be cultivated into a Paradise like God intended in the beginning, Genesis 1:28, Isaiah 55:11. Jesus will do on a grand scale what he did when he walked the earth including raising those who are asleep in death, John 5:28,29. There will only be one government ruling over the entire earth, God's Kingdom government, Daniel 2:44. Jesus said that this good news of the Kingdom would be preached about in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come, Matthew 24:14. Jesus taught his disciples how to accomplish the preaching of the good news of the Kingdom, Acts 20:29; Acts 5:42. Who are following the same instructions that Jesus gave the first century Christians? How will you respond to the good news of the Kingdom? John 4:22-24; John 17:3; Isaiah 42:8

Applying to the historical manuscripts as the authority for verifying the Bible, only because of their date, is a method used specifically by the secular scholars, or trusted by the protestants who lack a better alternative, and it's a basic error from the Orthodox perspective, because a late date of a document doesn't necessarily make it the original one, or more authentic than any of the newer documents, especially when the oldest manuscripts are missing most of what we are using in the current canon of the Bible, and thus suggests that we would have to reject all the current canons, only due to a lack of evidences, which is a ridiculous idea.

*22:14 - interesting how close the word Qumran is to Quran. I wonder if this is where the idea of islam started. Mohammed said he was approached by an Angel of Light (Sons of Light) in a cave. This cave!? Did he happen to hear what was being written by Sons of Light and was impressed to write a book of his own? If I remember correctly David Wood/Apologetics said that Mohammed retold scripture from memory told to him by Israelites. Maybe in actuality he worked for the Scribes gathering wood and cooking as they wrote the scrolls.

Ancient books as the Mahabharata from India and the Popol Vuh from the Maya tell us that the earth is suffering from a cycle of natural disasters. These disasters create a cycle of civilizations. One of these civilizations is, near the end of their existence, higher developed than our civilization today. They may have constructed nuclear reactors, may have been on the moon and the planet Mars. They vanished 20,000 years ago because of the next recurring, thus predictable, disaster. To learn much more about the cycle of civilizations and recurring disasters, ancient high tech and aliens, read the e-book: "what I know about Nibiru". You can read it nicely on any computer, tablet or smartphone. Just search for: know Nibiru

@ Who's face is on the coin of this global world?
it is quite simple because there are two answers; and those two are exactly the same answersand
1st *give to Caesar what is Caesar's.*
2de *give to the gods what is of the gods.*
only the person they are talking about is are totally different
For if everything is of Caesar's; then you just have to give it back and there is no more reason to be a slave to him.
this also applies to the gods who are not god but sons of God. for the foundations of the earth was built by them the gods, and that's why the foundations of the earth will be shaken because of all the things that happen upon the earth and under the sun, that's from the gods; and give it back to them. Sela

As the ones who proceeded the Light, they prepared the way for the Light John the Baptist and his apostles. When they saw the Light they became followers of the Light. They didn't disappear their name was changed to Christians. In the scriptures believers are called the ones who belong to the Light. Jesus said "I am the Light of the world" They attempted to extinct them but a remnant always survived. The blood of the Light followers cries out from the ground proving they are the TRUE CHURCH because they were willing to die for their faith not fight back and kill for it. Enter Roman Nicaea Council supposed church who picked up the Pharisee tradition of killing those who disagree with what they say. They claim you MUST believe, what we believe (or at least say you do) or we will kill you and have the power and authority to do it. Many Saul of Tarsus's were created. More blood crying out. Lot's of people are willing to kill for their faith. Jesus is the Truth and Light and the GOSPEL directs people into eternal life by simply believing the Truth. One thing He said is: do no harm to those who disagree with you, in fact treat them kindly! The true Church was hijacked by religion long ago.
