This video saved me. Our bathroom sink was stopped up for months. We would plugged it and the water would drain out just a little bit faster. Water would fill up quickly and would take about 10 minutes to drain out. I was just about to try to take the pipes apart to try to clean them out. I am a female and didn't know what I was doing. Then, I watched your video and you said to put your hand over the holes to get a better suction when plunging. I tried that and the water went down within 3 minutes. Thank You for this video

Usually, the bathroom sink clog is hair and slime wrapped around the base of stopper, the thing that closes at the bottom of the sink. You often only need to pull that out and clean it off. To do this, detach the lever under the sink that raises and lowers the stopper. The stopper will pull right out.

All I needed was some gaff tape to cover the hole (the part where you tried to cover with your hand) so the pressure would solely be on the main sink hole. if you'd used a power / drill-based auger with a longer (thus more flexible) tip, you LIKELY wouldn't have had to disassemble the trap. your crank snake simply doesn't have the rotation speed or flexibility to get around all those curves.
had a similar situation this morning. it actually took more time to walk the snake from the truck to the upstairs sink than it did to clear the clog about 8 feet into the drain.

There is probably something in there. Just get a regular plastic bottle, fill it up with hot water, then hurriedly, put the mouth of the bottle into the sink drain and push the water bottle into the drain. This is way more strong than the plunger. Or maybe you can just easily remove that main pupe under it (if you know how to do it) and there will most likely be something inside.
