For those complaining about the stiffness of the leather - that does not make it a low quality leather. On the contrary, higher quality leather is supposed to be stiff so that it can adapt to its wearing lifetime as it is bent, worn, broken into, and as it absorbs moisture and oils and is just generally used to which then it will get more pliable and soft. Lower quality, AKA "Genuine Leather" which is the lowest quality, has to be treated with more processes such as fake tumble patterns and chemicals coats that give it that "buttery" feel. Even DNAShow is better informed! This obnoxious reviewer at least has an apropos name to match his style suited for his comically inept audience: “Foamer”.
Nah dummies who only buy plastic leather shoes have been led to believe. Anybody buying real leather kicks know Jordan 1s are subpar leather shoes especially the tumbled leather gimmick.
@Kenneth The Golden Child all these unnecessary collabs and colorways just annoy the shit outta me lol, especially the Jordan mids they've been putting out 😂
When you bought a baseball glove as a kid was it already broke in? I'm asking because I have these and I am super happy that Jordan brand used real full grain leather because these will last forever and I can wear the hell out of them. The newer 1's are nice fresh out the box but breakdown way to fast. I wore my reverse bred's today and am loving the creases that are starting to form. I'm 44 years old and had a pair of 85's and many other hi-tops in my day and it was a bitch to break em in but when you did they were the best!
Issam Kassab you hit the nail on the head!!! If a rookie or prime Jordan would’ve worn 1s made on the same quality of retroes he’d easily destroy shoes on the court. They’re too soft but these you gotta wear and break them in because they’re tight, thick leather not that soft stuff we’re spoiled on!
I'd have to say you're wrong on the quality side. I've held these in hand and the quality is better than any Jordan 1 I've ever seen. Real boot-like, sturdy, premium leather on this pair. The kind that you need to break in, the kind that molds to your foot. The soft, buttery, smooth leather is actually an indication of bad quality if anything. That is the kind that cracks with time and generally gets bad pretty fast with wear. Anyway, love the videos! Always eager to hear your opinion!
Maybe the leather feels “stiff” and “low quality” because it’s REAL LEATHER! My bloodlines were buttery soft out of the box. Logically, why would Jordan cut corners on the limited ‘85 highs over the GR on sale Bloodlines? My guess is that these are made to last and you have to break it in like a baseball glove!
NonLegit Nation for sure. I’d pay $500-$600 for a Chicago ‘85 High. But not for these Ronald McDonald looking shoes. Nope, no sir. Limit them to 23 pairs if you wan’t, I’m not even paying $100 for them...
Also the mid sole pattern is different from the 1’s of more recent. Besides stiffness of leather has nothing to do with quality of leather. Thus it’s the way they were in 1985 slightly thicker cut of real leather
Has to thumbs down. Just because it’s stuff leather doesn’t mean it’s crap lol. So annoying. Tumbled leather usually means it’s filled with synthetic material and non genuine leather smh.
