- Today we have the large wall install with windows and doors on the biggest building we've ever built. As fast as the other two large walls went, this third wall is full of details. Those details include window framing and install, door framing and install, as well as metal trim details.
Buckle up it's a long one with lots of great info!

A beast of a building, thanks guys!
A plumb bob is called a plumb bob because the word "plumb" comes from the Latin word plumbum, which means "lead". Lead was the material that was once used for the weighted bob at the end of the plumb bob
If the door jam does get hit it is a smaller piece to replace. Loving this build.
Loving this series!!
I think you put in the low seam so that you can change out a damaged part if it gets hit
Door jambs WILL get hit and damaged at some point. Easier to replace the shorter piece than a long one. Also the practical purpose of wainscoting. It’s not just for looks.
Without a deadbolt, you are always allowing the possibility of someone using a credit card to enter a standard locked knob lockset, a properly installed deadbolt with 3 inch screws to the stud beyond does provide substantially more security.
It's like we have been working together today. I had the video on listening while I was on a man lift sheetrocking sky lights
Video length is awesome. Gr8 content too. Also it's wainscoting (caught - ing) there ya go 😂 Let's go!!
I would guess the OH Door trim seam is down low. That's where the most damage would occur and it would be the easiest to replace that piece later.
WOW Kyle a 1hour + video!, glad you did that,!!. Question, If the roof and 2 walls are up!!, Why did the building Flood??. The amount of info and short cuts in that head of youres, pays to listen!!. I like seeing all those vehicles sitting outside seeing you build theyre new home, just waiting to get in😁😆Building looks real great from drone shots you & Greg should be real proud!!. Good Job,!! and thanks for the video series. Is it back to youre Workshop next?.🤓
I am building a shop/barn 1/100 the size of this beast. Thanks for all the useful building knowledge. Cheers lads, stay cool
3x1.5? 😉
@Manoffire260 maybe 1/100 of the square footage?
I thought the lower seam on the garage door trim was so that you could replace it when it will inevitably get damaged.
Kyle gives me BD energy. Also Greg.
As a Brit two things strike me.
I. You have opening windows way up on the wall. Will they ever be opened? If not can't you fit windows that don't open?
2. On a building of that length we would have a door at the left hand end in case of fire. Do you not have to consider that?
Thanks.
Спасибо большое за подробную инструкцию. Удачи вам.
Another reason for the low joint is easier replacement if someone wipes out the trim with a wayward vehicle😂
Damage most of the time at the bottom of roll up easier to replace trim
Camera man does a great job.
When you cut siding, around a window, with a vert slim strip - couldn't you clamp something like a firing strip across the gap to hold the panel together?
Enjoy your videos why windows in a storage building be safe God bless.
Hello, I do believe that memory is the second thing to go. I forgot what the first was.
I’m curious when the concrete floor will be poured.
You do a semm on garage door framing in case it gets run into and damaged, you can replace the small section vs the entire section?
Most excellent video. Thank you for sharing a quick question. What type and brand of screws are you using to frame with? Thank you sir really enjoy watching your videos.
MUY BUENO!!!!! UN GENIO!!!!!
I am surprised that cutting a leg from your post base passes inspection. Since this is a commercial building, I trust you have a building permit, and the job is being inspected. Does the A/E that sealed the plans and is responsible for the project know you are doing that and are they ok with It? I hope you don't get in any trouble.
I tried to swat the bug at 14:48 because I thought it was a gnat on my screen and not a bug on Kyle's shoulder.
You put the seam down low, because it's a lot easier to reach...
Plumbob, because it shows if it is plum while bobbing around
So did you leave those pencils on that ledge on the window ?
Always got to be thinking of the what ifs!!
Like for example what if the hydraulics failed on that aerial lift while you weee standing under it!!
Too many deaths happen on job sites because people have too much faith in equipment not failing. I’ve seen it happen.
I just don’t want nothing to happen to you guys.
on stove 1 we have twisted tia, shell be whipping up stuffed mushrooms, antabello mushrooms with sausage. the secret sauce is u gotta use that prego sauce, with 1 cup red wine marinated for 90 mins on low. with angel hair pasta and hnd rolled meatballs. on stove 2 we have whoever tia found at the bottom of the barrel making gyros and taco salad for sun. mushrooms are for sat. toodles.... im going to campground for a couple weeks anybody ask i went to the baloon affair got in a baloon once i got so high i cut the ropes and was never seen again......
Do the green lasers work outside better ?
To Kyle’s quiz: because dings happen near ground level, so putting the seam low makes for an easier replacement
Hadir
So you forgot your pencils

The Menard's probably bought the glass company, not just re-badged.
No, most manufacturers produce their products as "private label" for their customers. Menards (like many box stores) are not in the business of manufacturing.
Ok.... An hour and 17 minutes? Getting way too long with the videos.
Do what I do, go to 1.25 or 1.5 speed
