The yellow "grinder" is not for coffee but for nuts and nothing is missing on it. You put nut pieces in chute, turn the handle and it grinds the nuts up smaller. I have a black and white one that belonged to my grandmother.
yes---I've never seen that style of a nut grinder before, but thought that's what it was too. I have a Tupperware brand nut grinder from the 1960s that was my Moms. I use it a lot!
I cannot imagine finding so many treasures in a Goodwill. I feel so lucky if I find one thing that's worth anything. Your thrift stores up there are fantastic!
The blue and white canister with the pierced lid is for kitchen compost. Egg shells, potato peels and coffee grounds are collected. When full it's taken to the compost pile in the garden to be tilled in and break down. Wonderful for the roses, and good for the planet.
In the white section the blue & white pail w/the handle you picked up is for food scraps you are saving to put on your outside compost pile. I love the items that you find.
I think it's great that you're expanding into some contemporary items that are perfectly fine, beautiful---and keeping them moving along into people's homes instead a landfill. EPIC haul!
Yay! So exciting when you find lots of goodies. I've been watching you for a year now Jocelyn. I quit my teaching job and felt I lost my purpose. I started watching you and realized I could resell too! Thank you for inspiring me! You're a true blessing.
I have a suggestion, if you take a blanket with you for the cart you can fit so much more by layering everything with the blanket between the glass. There will be less rattling of the glass. It works well for me. I leave a blanket in the car.
Great GoodWill haul! You truly made me LOL when you were wondering if the piece you picked up was an urn. "Hello- is anyone in there??" while gently shaking it, and then getting creeped out! I am such a fan, and love your videos!
Love your booth, candle needs to be in the holder, loved your style, your colors, I am 70 years old, worked most of my life, the key to happiness is loving what you do, and doing it with Grace. You got this. (3 loving children is a bonus gift.)
I love Georges Briard. It seems like everything I have found them, it's been in a goodwill. I love you pick up newer items. I sell vintage glass but always pick up contemporary items bc ppl love beautiful things. Old and new. Nice haul
Your Chinese jar with the Foo dog was made in the 80s back when China actually produced decent goods. No damage, it should fetch al least 50 to 70 dollars. Japanese saki sets are in odd numbers, 3,5 etc. Sets made for western export are in even numbers, 4,6 and so on. Same thing for tea services.
Rarely comment but watch you every day. I resell mostly vintage and antiques, but thanks to you, I knew what I was grabbing at the thrift store today....McKenzie Childs Courtly Checked Canister and Tea Pot!!!! What a score, thank you for sharing!
The yellow grinder is a nut chopper. I've got 2 .They both have a little piece of wood that fits in the bottom. Mine are glass , screw on tops and 8oz. Jars. 5:28
There is nothing missing. It's really vintage go back! Lol. I remember using one to grind walnuts for cakes with my grandmother when I was little.you put nuts in the top chute and turn the candle to grind.that yellow is cute! Mine is white with a red pattern.
A great haul. Love your humor.....squirrel! I say that alot myself! All that tape on the glassware, 😬 I bet its alot of work to remove without damaging anything.
The blue and white butterfly canister with the metal handle is a counter top compost bin. You put your food scraps in it and then when it’s full you take it outside to your compost pile/tumbler. A lot of people are buying those now with more and more wanting to be more self sustainable.
I just love how your goodwills have aisles labeled according to color or other general description. In my area they may as well be labeled 'junk', 'broken', or 'no one will ever want anything on this aisle ever'. Love your channel!
I just love watching her. I already enjoyed picking up stuff from the thrift stores in the past for my knick knacks. I am happy she turned it as a source of income. Having less stuff or none at all is better in my opinion, just the essentials and the basics are enough for me. Most of the times having too much stuff is a nuisance 🤷
Wonderful video. Reading the comments, I learned that blue and white container with a handle is a kitchen compost collector. Thanks for sharing your thought process when you look at items. I’ve learned a lot from you. 💞💞💞
The teapot depicting John Alden and Priscilla Mullins! I collect figurines and prints of them, etc. They have so many descendants, their items are worth putting on ebay, especially harder to find items like the teapot. Go for it!
The little glass piece you thought might be a coffee grinder is a grinder for nuts (like pecan halves, etc). You put them in the top, turn the handle, and the nuts end up in the jar. They are vintage. Love mine!
Brass flowers, clear glass vase with blue coming down the side, the beautiful cards to frame all so great. I don’t think I ever seen you buy so much, Jocelyn.
On the green aisle you picked up and put down a stack of fabulous Johnson Brothers plates. English Countryside - pattern is retired and oh SO gorgeous. Check the selling value.
I think the angels were napkin ring holders 🤗 Such a great haul 👏👏 I loved it so much 😘 I could watch these all day . I loved when you said hello is anyone in there 😂😂😂 I thought it was a Urns too 😂😂
WOW!!! Great hunt! Just as an aside, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean place settings are 5 settings, as opposed to American/European 4 or 6. So if you see 5 tea cups or 5 sake cups, it is a complete set.
You found so many awesome things there today. I wish our place was that good. The blue and white canister thingy with a handle was probably a compost container for inside.
My neighbors had something similar to that grinder....some 65 yrs ago. They used it for old bars of dried bath soap...and made hand soap from the gratings. Hey...waste not, want not!
Loved the Lazy Susan. What a shopping trip. The smiling dog figurine reminds me of my dog. I get out of bed to go to the loo and come back to his nibs sleeping in my spot all snuggled into the covers!
I rarely go into Goodwill but my sister casually asked if I was interested to stop into her local GW near her home in Oceanside, CA. She's not typically a Goodwill shopper, either. Within 3 minutes, I was clutching my now-prized Cuisinart Custom Pro 11 food processor. Normally retails for around $150. Got it for $29.99 with all the attachments. Score!!
Great finds today! Very exciting indeed! Thank-you for taking us along... 🥰 The little tea pots you found with the lip on the bottom 💁♀️ are made to sit on a matching cup...
Fun shopping with you...we sure do not have Goodwills like yours here in West Michigan. A tip from an oldtimer...feel the edges and rims of your pieces, don't rely on your eyes. I am wondering how long it took to discover the edge chip on the larger Mexican plate. It was still a stellar piece.
I looked up glassybabys and fire and ice, I see why your on the hunt for them. I'm hoping you come across them one of these days 🙂 you always find the best stuff.
I have to tell you about my 3 month old foster son. He LOVES watching you! I don’t know if I’ll be able to figure out how to send you a picture of him, but it all started as I was changing him on the sofa and happened to be watching you. I was trying to engage him and he was having none of it. He was craning his neck to watch you! Now as soon as we get to the couch he’s straining to look at the TV until I tune you in. And the funniest part of all is whenever I have a baby who doesn’t travel well, I hang my IPod over the back seat and turn on Baby Einstein or Cocomelon. But this little one cries until I pull over and put the Crazy Lamp Lady on! I thought you’d get a chuckle out of knowing you have such a young fan!!
As a production supervisor at the Hooksett, New Hampshire goodwill i have to say all the chipped glass should not even be out on the floor because it can injure people, thats a big safety concern and lack of quality auditing on that stores part. Not good seeing all those broken things! Love that you found some great stuff to resell :) just trying to make a living and having fun doing it!
The small teapots with the lips are tea for one and they sit on a matching cup. The large bowl looks to have temptations design, but not sure about the basket weave.
Just before the 11 minute mark, the blue and white canister with butterflies and holes in the lid is used to hold veggie scraps in your kitchen until you can dump them in a compost bin.
HI JOcelyn! You are a magnet for awesome finds!! I was wondering if you were going to list those lamps (etched green leaves in the glass), or did you sell them already, or are you listing them on another site besides ebay? I love them, just want to see what they go for, and bid on them if I could. THe murano glass you find is some of the prettiest I have ever seen. It's hard to believe the things you find on your trips! You have a great eye, too, always picking up those items, like your rare find of mackenzie childs glass. It's so much fun seeing what you come across on your outings, and I love your personality and channel, you are a lot of fun to watch!! I'm so glad i figured out you had links to ebay in your videos
The large bowl you picked up that said 2nd sample on the bottom is a temptation bowl.(the basket weave around the whole bowl ).You found the jackpot today great finds.I believe the bowl is actually called the basket weave pattern.
The Noritake creamer is from 1931 per the backstamp. It is the pattern Dresdena circa previous to 1931 which is the latest year that backstamp was used. Not to be confused with Noritake Dresdena circa 1964 - 1969. Totally different pattern and value. My grandmother's china. The lid in the video doesn't go with that creamer. There is a similar creamer with a spout like a teapot that has a lid and the lid sits down into the opening so you can see the fluted edges of the creamer. The creamers go for about $30.00 as replacement pieces. Personally, I would have picked it up not only because I have the set but because it has a good profit margin even though it is a single piece.
The 14 piece Mac Kenzie Childs collectiom I came across (thanks to you) , all have redware or terracotta base under the glaze, plus markings. Glassybabys are not so big (maybe 4 inches tall?)but are fairly thick walled and also a somewhat very milky transparency. Family have some and a friend has about 20 or so. Family also have lots of fire and light pieces. All from Northern Calif and Seattle ( of course!) Ha! I found one piece of fire and light in an antique mall in Virginia mixed in with Blenko. The fun is always the hunt.
I'm thinking the yellow glass container with metal cap, (that you found after the nut grinder), was a martini shaker? (I've never used one--never had a martini--, but it looks like what I've seen before.) Maybe? :)
Yes, the yellow nut grinder is in tact, I remember my mother having one. I was young and I'm now in my 60s, I m not sure if it was her mother's or something she purchased.
The vintage nut grinder you passed on was complete and sells around $30 in FL. You sure had an excellent trip to the GW. You had more in your cart than what the 3 GW around here have combined and here it's all broken. Love watching you source.
I saw a cool, yellow cocktail shaker for use behind that Tiki Bar!!! It should have a strainer to keep ice back. The very top piece can be used as a shot-measurer!
On the subject of plates, I bought a box of plate hangers at a store closing sale and now put the plates I buy on them before hanging them in my booth. The plates really sell well this way. When they weren't on hangers, they didn't sell much at all. BTW- I am drooling over the wonderful items they had in your Goodwill on this visit!! Fantastic finds and prices!!
The yellow "grinder" is not for coffee but for nuts and nothing is missing on it. You put nut pieces in chute, turn the handle and it grinds the nuts up smaller. I have a black and white one that belonged to my grandmother.

I find 1 with covet very nice
I have a red one!!! Totally missed the boat there
Yes... and it was complete!!!
Me too. Love mine. So much better than using a food processor
Nothing missing with the vintage yellow nut grinder!
Or parsley cutter,
Oh no that was a beautiful nut grinder.
Agree nothing missing
I have my grandmothers... that's complete!
Yes. I have my mother’s. It is vintage. She always ground up nuts.
I cannot imagine finding so many treasures in a Goodwill. I feel so lucky if I find one thing that's worth anything. Your thrift stores up there are fantastic!
I noticed she chose Alot of yellow tag items so they were probably just put out..
Her store definitely is wonderful. I rarely find any kind of glass at all. :(
Me too like that.

That plate had John Alden on it & he was a Mayflower Pilgrim & also my ancestor!
In the white section the blue & white pail w/the handle you picked up is for food scraps you are saving to put on your outside compost pile.
I love the items that you find.
The little teapots…are part of a ‘tea for one’ set. The pots sit on top of a cup and saucer🇬🇧
I think it's great that you're expanding into some contemporary items that are perfectly fine, beautiful---and keeping them moving along into people's homes instead a landfill. EPIC haul!
What a great trip!! Learning sooo much!

Yes! Less in the landfills!

Yes, it was a practically antique certainly vintage nut chopper. They are awesome. Surprised you left it
...and nothing was missing.
“Mary’s just creeping’ at the bottom of my cart.” 🤣🤣🤣 Sorry, it just struck me funny. Thanks for the great chuckle.
I remember my Grandma letting me grind her pecans in that nut grinder when I was little! That was about 49-50 years ago! Nothing was missing.
I still use that nut grinder. It is prrfect nothing missing at all!
I have 3 nut grinders like this with different designs on the top. I guess 3 is a collection.
I have that nut grinder as well. It's complete.
