The surprise of each seasonal change doesn't dissipate with age, Riley. I live on Vancouver Island, and it's still surprising when the cold finally hits us in December/January. Summer here is dry grass and wildfire warnings. Spring ands Autumn are the most comfortable and liveable seasons

Damn... at least living here in Canada the weather always keeps us on our toes. Can't say things get boring lol

So great to hear you carry on like this. And I had to Laugh out Loud, as you talked about beings surprised by the weather. I'm a lot older than you, and YET every season, I am surprised! How can it be so hot?! So cold?! Has this never happened to me before? hahhahha! Enjoy it all

There’s a hilarious Indian ad for Glucon-D (like Tang but low-key healthier) where it’s a cartoon image of the Sun with a straw siphoning the energy out of people.

I can never compute snow because I’ve never really experienced but someone contextualised by saying it’s like the monsoons.

Fellow Canadian here ❤❤ I know exactly what you mean when you say, "I kinda think we've been waiting all year for this?" You mean that 1 or 2 hot days of year we get in August each year? 😉At least you have clean air where you are from the looks of it? Where I'm at yes the heat is STIFLING HOT it's all anybody can talk about, and all my animals are beached whales. But at least our air is clean... for now? We get really wicked wildfires around the tail end of summers every year. 🔥🔥🔥 Not looking forward to that. 😒

Do you know what actually makes you happy, now?
If you can articulate it, and then normalize carving out 45 minutes a day for it, you could really feel a sense of agency (regardless of moving or money or hot summers). You don't have to actually spend the 45 minutes, you should just be able to fluidly shift into it if you need a small or big decompress.
Anyway, there's a good chance that "everything is fine", but to actually feel that way (so that you can enjoy the time you have, not be stressed and blow up), having a "reset button" handy can make all the difference for thriving when things aren't quite settled in.
    Anyway, glad you shared!
And there was some breeze under the shady tree at the end! That makes it better, doesn't it?

The shade was VERY nice lol. And thank you for the advice! I'm definitely still trying to find things that help me relax - I have a number of hobbies that I usually do for fun but I have a bad habit of turning them all into chores that I don't look forward to all the time. I'm definitely still figuring things out, but hopefully one day I'll find a way to chill out🙏

@@rileyhere228 hopefully the comments and editing on your videos isn't too much of a chore! :-)
I was going to caveat my first comment so it wasn't so "advice-y" but I figured you know enough to take ideas that work and ignore the rest.
Thanks again for putting the time and effort into sharing your experiences!
