    We use extra virgin, cold pressed coconut oil as our body moisturizer and consume at least there're tablespoons per day in a tea with lemon and raw honey. My whole family has great skin as a result. And we experience many of the other health benefits as well.

      @lujitsu1251 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sherrice Sledge-Thomas how do you consume it please. I have some I just don't want to swallow it unless I know it's safe. Mine is hard and in the frigerator.

      @@lujitsu1251 coconut oil is antifungal and antibacterial so you can keep it out of the refrigerator, I do. This way it's easier to take a spoon full and eat it. I take a spoonful, like if I were eating peanut butter and I just nibble on it. I didn't like it at first because it tasted greasy but then I watched a video on how coconut oil is made and it's literally pressed out oil from the coconut so now I just imagine that I'm eating coconut meat in a different form. Using it on the body is nice but really greasy, so I will put some on my face and then wipe it off with a napkin. Believe me, you'll leave plenty left on your skin.

    The best wrinkle solution on earth! I love it. Every morning I notice my skin is fully plumped since day one I started using it. Women, don't waste your money on any expensive product that doesn't do it job, but use this argan life oil instead!

    I have been using coconut oil as a moisturizer before bed and I notice a difference from when I use it and when I skip a night and don't use it. I have oily skin and I was really surprised that it didn't cause any breakouts for me. I put on Pro Activ before bed then I put on the coconut oil last. When I wake up the oil makes my skin feel so soft. It's worth a try.

    I have been using Argan Rain Ultra Organic Argan Oil Treatment on a daily basis for a number of years now and feel that it helps my face stay in the best possible condition. I am now 64 years old and have a few wrinkles as my face has softened throughout the years, but have confidence that this perfect product is still doing its job. I have never used it for stretch marks, so cannot comment on that, but do feel that it helps my facial complection greatly. Thanks for Argan Rain

    Coconut oil (extra virgin - cold pressed) is antibacterial and has very tiny molecules, just enough tiny to absorb in the skin (and hair) and that's why it's not comedogenic (it doesn't clog pores)! For example, olive oil doesn't have that tiny molecules and it doesn't totally absorb in the skin, so it does clog pores! That can be a bad thing for someone who has skin issues (like acne) but it also can create pimples on normal skin. That's why coconut oil is highly recommended for all skin types, because of his antibacterial properties and tiny molecules! My own example: i had issues with my oily forehead sometimes and i noticed a lot of difference since i use coconut oil...blackheads and pimples are visibly gone. Especially i adore it on skin around my eyes...
    Can't live without coconut oil anymore :) Btw i'm cosmetician

      @Jennifr1966 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +JustOneAsbesto Hey ... it works! It really does! You should SEE the difference in me! You see, one morning I looked in the mirror, and I saw splotches on my face, fine lines and wrinkles, and even an age spot! It only took a minute to completely change. That's right. I put my camera on "Beauty Face" and all of that went away. It made me look so much better! Thank you, Galaxy S5 cell phone camera!
      PS I'm playing around, but honestly, the one thing she's right about is that coconut oil does have many redeeming qualities. And Photoshop can be used many ways. However, it's disappointing that someone wasn't willing to step forward and use their before and after pictures, because it's true! When looking at pictures and considering changing one's lifestyle, the viewer wants a certain amount of true testimonial.

    I've used a lot of different oils for my skin over the years such as Avocado oil and I've found that Coconut oil is the only one that doesn't cause eye irritation for me. A lot of people say it causes pimples and blocks your pores, but I haven't had either problems. Although, I do have some sties forming on my upper cheekbones which I might attribute to using too much oil.

    I am 69 years old and though I have good skin, I was getting the laugh lines from nose to chin and my ear lobes were getting longer (sign of old age) which I did not like. I have used Argan Rain Ultra Organic Argan Oil Treatment off and on for about 1 year. I now use it 3 times a day. It has eliminated all the deep laugh lines and most all the fine lines.

    Good info, I've been using VCO for years, but I very strongly disagree about applying any type of moisturizer right after washing or while skin is still damp!! All that does is cause rancid, bacteria laden, damaging, aging mess in your skin. Wait until skin has had plenty of time to thoroughly dry for awhile before applying any moisturizer or oil!

    • @iahelcathartesaura3887
      @iahelcathartesaura3887 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      (Oil or moisturizer applied over water or any dampness does NOT "lock in" moisture, etc. This is an old, cliche, untrue fallacy.

    • @iahelcathartesaura3887
      @iahelcathartesaura3887 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** From numerous reports, dermatologist friends, from being a biology/biochemistry student etc, & from common sense. I don't mean to sound insulting, but it's just an old tradition to believe that water will "soak in" to your skin when trapped under a layer of oil :P It doesn't. It will just turn rancid if anything. In order to be able to soak into skin, water/moisture must first be emulsified! Which equals LOTION. Not just oil & water. Where did you get the idea that plain old water will "soak in" to skin? Have you ever seen it do that? No. You only see it shrivel your skin if left in water too long, & water on its own dries out skin.

    • @iahelcathartesaura3887
      @iahelcathartesaura3887 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** I make my own products & have studied skincare on my own, from a biochemistry angle, for decades. I'm older but look much younger than I am. Also there's an amazing new product out called...

    • @iahelcathartesaura3887
      @iahelcathartesaura3887 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** ...called Tatcha, by Victoria Tsai. Probably is expensive though, lol. Very interesting stuff.

      ***** Water needs an EMULSIFIER to soak into skin, even if that's just plain old lecithin, or something more complex/sophisticted (or so says my friend's friend who was a degreed chemist for Max Factor for many years before he retired).

    Coconut oil often causes breakouts and a good way to go about getting pimples is by putting this oil directly onto your face. It does depend on your skin type, but my mother has quite dry skin and after using the oil (for wrinkles) she got breakouts and blackheads. Same thing happened to me and some other people I know. It is amazing for you hair and to cook with I can't deny that, but I think people put so much emphasis on how amazing coconut oil is for your skin and In actual fact it may only work with certain skin types.

    • @ellapresley4406
      @ellapresley4406 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well maybe it doesn't work for you, but it does work for some people. It works well for me, and I love it. I mix coconut oil with Argan Oil and it really makes a difference on my skin. I don't have any breakouts, and it does help the wrinkles too.

    • @larab2685
      @larab2685 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As I said, It may only work with certain skin types.I guess you confirmed that.. A lot of skin types don't work well with it because their skin produces a lot of oil naturally. Its just been my experience and those around me who used it on their skin. If it works well for you-great, I wish it worked for me too! :)

    • @225kristent
      @225kristent 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure how your mother had breakouts and blackheads if she has dry skin. That should only happen if she has overly oily skin. There are plenty of other oils she can use, if she has a problem with coconut. I have sensitive combination skin and have no problems with breakouts when using coconut oil

      I found out im allergic to coconut oil, I was making my homemade chocolate with it and it caused inflammation of my liver! maybe it wasn't suitable for consuming, it was Holland and Barretts perfectly pure natural raw virgin, maybe this isn't the correct one ?

      @225kristent 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Susan Ripley Oh I can believe it. There are allergies to all kinds of natural plants/herbs/etc. You may not have the same reaction just using it as a facial cleanser though, maybe your liver just couldn't handle it. Good thing you found out so easily. Some people go forever trying to find out what they're allergic to

    @Jasmine Foster Yes it helps, i have tried it like 3 years ago and i’m still using it. remember that you can no expect any miracles when you are ageing, especially don’t trust any creams, serums etc. You need solve the problem from inside, not outside. This is one of a few things that helps and trust me I've tried millions of them because i need to look good/young for my job. And the brand you are talking about is great i’m using the same. It is expensive, but quality products are not cheap and this is your beauty and health we are talking about so don’t be cheap.

      I used to work in a Newspaper in Composing and Editorial. While you are technically correct, we need to remember that language changes. Sometimes very quickly, and words, adaptations of words once they enter popular speech patterns become "real" words. And even though you and I may have our eyes tick when this happens, we have to be brave and embrace language change. I have been hearing this adaptation of supple a lot sadly. I think we may be stuck with it. Hang in there and read some classic literature! It always helps me feel better.

      Martha Barrett Lol in other words, no results yet. Im beginning to think all you really need to to be well hydrated, exercise daily, and eat healthy. I also heard somewhere swimming 3-5 times a week helps with anti-aging.

      Damian Blue well I do have results, I quit smoking, and I cut off sugar, I only use evaporated cane sugar now. And I drink homemade smoothies. And I exercise 3-4 x's a week. So yes this vid helped a lot. And I drink water, I really don't like the taste of water but I drink it anyway.

    I've never used coconut oil as a moisturizer, just a facial cleanser and it works great. Grapeseed oil actually is the closest to our own skin Ph and using it as a moisturizer won't clog pores. I wouldn't recommend leaving coconut oil on the skin for long periods because it is saturated and if the temperature gets too cold, it will actually harden. NOT a good thing :)

    I am confused, pls help. You said coconut is cold pressed to retain full nutrients. But that is not coconut oil. To obtain the oil, you have to cook the "cold pressed liquid" which is coconut milk, at temperatures above 212d fah. After cold press we get coconut oil without cooking?

    I have yet to try this oil craze, but the cream Im using now has vitamin E in it already and has the new swiss apple stem cell craze. Has anyone seen results from the swiss apple stem cells? So far neutratone is working on my skin and minimizing my wrinkles but I'm not sure if its because of the stem cells or the other ingredients.

    I grow up on the island I never seen coconut tree being spray with anythings .Coconut tree is one off the hardest tree that exist on this earth.The roots are able to grow in sandy soil with salt in it.To claim that coconut oil has to be organic is a question mark.

    • @carollopez8597
      @carollopez8597 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Irene Schiller : You have a good point. I say the same thing about organic coffee (at least from Colombia ) and bananas. I've lived in both growing areas. Never saw any official inspectors in either place. The trick is that when the buyers receive the goods, they declare their portion of the boatload as being organic if they have the certification. That doesn't mean the rest of the bananas aren't organic. Just not certified. Same with a lot of coffee and Lord only knows how much other stuff. But not all "organic " is a lie. I'm sure most of it is genuine because farmers who DO grow organically are usually very passionate about doing a good thing.

    I doubt whether the women of the South Pacific ask their doctors if they can consume coconut oil. They live long healthy lives eating lots of the good saturated fat from coconut oil. They also don't get the negative effects of the sun even with lots of exposure. Coconut oil does protect people from the sun, at least to some degree.

      Try using aloe vera. I have oily skin to and tried using coconut oil but it didn't work. So I use aloe vera and it works just fine. Nowadays, I just use coconut oil for my hair sometimes. I also use coconut oil to cook because of their health benefits. Am currently on a diet so I eat a lot of peanuts to ward of hunger in between meals. And sometimes I would substitute peanuts for coconut meat. I just fry em in coconut oil, salt them, and snack on them. They taste like popcorn! It's kind of nice and weird.

    Your thumbnail is just photoshopped version of the same picture. If I personally didn't know better, that picture alone is not making your video very believable. Show some REAL results. Everything is photoshopped these days and it's hard to believe in anything...

    • @louhea
      @louhea 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The photograph is used to lure people in and get them interested in the product that can't make that kind of an effect on you. Only photoshop can. It's misleading and with so many companies doing it these days not to mention magazines and websites, it's getting very very annoying. I consider it straight up lying. Why not trust the product and being honest? Why photoshop?

    • @TheDavidlloydjones
      @TheDavidlloydjones 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Anonymous Louhea,
      "The photograph is used to lure people in and get them interested in the product... "
      Quite right.
      "...that can't make that kind of an effect on you. Only photoshop can. Only photoshop can. "
      That's ridiculous. Photoshop is a very recent invention. (It's a patented and copyrighted product, and takes a capital P.) People have been drawing pictures on the walls of our caves for upwards of 30,000 years now.
      " it's getting very very annoying"
      You seem annoyed. Speak for yourself. I thought it was an OK picture, and pretty representative of the video it referrd to.
      " I consider it straight up lying. "
      No. I'm afraid that doesn't quite qualify as an opinion of yours. Other people are involved, and there is a real world out there beyond your eyeballs.
      Would you prefer "lie" or "delusion"? Either way, it's just a picture.
      Cheers,
      -dlj.

    • @louhea
      @louhea 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right... Do excuse me for the missing capital P because English is not my first language. :D And you seem very defensive about this and started to nitpick my comment a bit too much. I guess I should expect the same treatment with this one. Oh well...
      And what do you even mean with "I'm afraid that doesn't quite qualify as an opinion of yours. Other people are involved, and there is a real world out there beyond your eyeballs"? When did I even suggest otherwise? :D Why doesn't my comment qualify as an opinion? Just... Wow.
      The video was fine, I have nothing against it only the thumbnail. They should have used a real before and after picture, not digitally enhanced one. Why is that a problem?

I use all the things I've mentioned and I'll also try this. Plus, I'm telling you what I've used so far, I use altogether and it makes you smell so good. I'm thinking coconut oil can only add to that. Plus soften your skin. Most oils do. Worth a try.

      As soon as a baby is born in the Caribbean they are literally drenched in homemade coconut. (I can make it from scratch) I'm black Caribbean and my skin is so smooth that ppl think I wear makeup when I'm wearing a bikini. My boyfriend is British white and he can't believe how smooth the skin of the women on the island I was born on is. It works but I think you have to start using it early not when you're older for it to be effective.

I have been pondering the fact that diets rich in collegen and gelatine plus the coconut oil or fat as lotions over long time may be a good reason for the youthful appearances.

      For the record consistent use of organic oil will give smooth skin in less than a month. Only if u aren't consistent you won't get results. I've seen ppl with ashy skin use avocado oil n their skin returned to smoothness but make it a part of your daily regime.

      Melissa - Saturated fats being bad for us is one of the biggest health myths of the modern era, it is in fact extremely healthy and doesn't actually make you fat or cause heart disease. Sugar and grains are what are bad for us. I've lost seven kilos (15 pounds) in six weeks by avoiding sugar and carbs while eating large amounts of butter and animal fats as well as some coconut oil. The obesity problem in the western world exists because of these misconceptions.

      vannina yt Actually educating myself on modern nutrition is what led me to trying this diet in the first place. I didn't say I only eat fat, I eat plenty of vegetables as well as some fruit, dairy and eggs. New science is often shunned and ridiculed by the mainstream. It takes time for people to catch on so I don't blame you for thinking my diet is stupid. I feel ten years younger and I have more energy than ever. I also have better cognitive ability. A lot of new research suggests that grains are bad for our brain and how I feel leads me agree. Going low carb and consuming as little sugar as possible is one of the best decisions I've ever made.
