Remember, if you spam the dodge roll you can move through the fog without the slowdown of the sickness. I used it to get around and through lots of fog very quickly. It will still curse you so make sure to make it to saftey before it fills up fully. And with no stamina consumption your able to truly make this a dark souls experience
I found today that if you apply the 1st ability of the Alchemist BEFORE stepping into the death mist, the blight does not accrue so long as you don't travel between the chunk you are in and another out of bounds chunk
Just make sure you don't accidentally trigger combat, which causes your stamina use to start. One zombie across the map saw me and I suddenly ran out of stamina mid jump while exploring for the class. XD
Bro that’s what was pissing me off in other videos. People kept using the excuse that the campaigns are random but I still want to see what exactly I’m looking for on the map because the formation will always be the same
Can confirm, he was dead on accurate. There's no easy way to describe exactly what you're looking for, but his explanation plus the video was just fine. I was able to find it in survivor adventure mode in under half an hour from start of world to picking up the item.
Good synergies with Engineer: Fortify (Engi archetype trait) and Strong Back (challenger archetype trait). Fortify gets more benefit from wearing heavier armor and Strong Back makes it much easier to wear heavier armor. Really lets you pack on the damage reduction before even considering skills/perks/equipment. Edit: also you can short-hop while carrying the heavy weapon regardless of weight class, so a belly flopping build could still get an okay dodge in a pinch thanks to Engi. Anything which says "whenever you activate a skill". There's a few rings (Encrypted, Excess Coil, Stream Coupler) which give bonuses when you use a skill. Most skills are rocking a 40+ second cooldown without any cooldown reduction, but because the heavy weapon uses an ammo system, you can deploy and recall it for little to no cost whenever you need to refresh these buffs. Another big boon to survivability, since these effects generate shield and health regen. Idk how much this counts as "synergy" but the Gunslinger and Engineer combined create absolutely silly amounts of weapon ammunition. Gunslinger gets extra ammo reserves and extra ammo drops, the Engi regenerates ammo for anyone nearby the heavy weapon, and using a relic when the heavy weapon is already full of ammo will spawn weapon ammo instead. Both of their prime perks offer unlimited ammo for a duration too, either for your firearms or the heavy weapon. And all of that is on top of the heavy weapon regenerating it's own ammo.
There is a ring that specifically acts on the engi heavy weapon. Can't recall what it is called. Just too many rings. But I have been toying with the idea of a build around that ring
Engineer armor is guaranteed but the actual Archtype item is not guaranteed to drop so you might have to reroll the area a few time for it to appear. Learnt that the hardway.
Arekkz, your guide is the best one out there for this archetype even if it is random (which I don't think it is) showing your side helped find it rather easy without the other archetypes, literally just went in and it was in the same spot as yours.
Just so people know it’s also located in the timelines horizon which I got to after the terminus station. Got pretty lucky and found in about 10-15 mins into searching!
Pro tip: dodge rolling right before you enter the fog gives you i-frames against the vomit effect, so you end up not vomiting at all. You can then just dodge roll repeatedly through the fog if you want.

Gotta agree that "big spike and a platform" is the entire map. I died twice pretty quickly because I was looking for the "big spike and gap" while being too close to the edge. What I found helpful was looking for the "big spike and platform" at the same distance the guy in this video is looking at the "big spike and platform". The "big spike and platform" looks exactly like the one in this video (even the tiny spikes around the feet of the big spike).
Thank you, this is by far the easiest way to find the item. Note that it doesn't have to be Eon Vault, you just need to find Titan's Reach which can also be found in Timeless Horizon (my version).

For some reason, the key item for the Engineer Class is not there. And I haven't picked it up, is there other things that is needed to be done before you can get it?
I think the area names may not be the same, but this is the area with the big pillar things hitting the ground. Mine was called The Eon Vault. My map has almost the same names except titans reach and terminus are missing. However i found the area on my Adventure Mode reload very easily tbh. This video helped a lot

When I finally found it, it wasn’t looking as described, actually. Sure the left side was the same, and it had the narrow way in. But the right one was not as big and barely visible. I just started trying every way into the mist and the third one turned out to be the right one
1:40 i got almost the same layout as you i think. the Dungeon on the top right at 1 minute 40 is Vault of the Formless for me ... yours is Terminus station. And i think the titans reach checkpoint is at the same position too.
One thing that helped me was using Nvidia's game filter. I turned up bloom, brightness, exposure, detail (sharpness, clarity) so that every rock formation was muchhh brighter. Hope it helps somebody else.

Ok so in case anyone was wandering yes you can get the engineer class right away am at power lvl 5 when i found it and it was in timeless horizon(for me) and N'erud was my 1st map i spawned
It is worth pointing out that if you are wearing the lodestone crown combined with lodestone ring, you will die immediately rather than start the puking animation.
Not sure if I did something wrong but I was able to get and find the armor set but I have revisited and died through the spot over 10 times trying to find the alien device and it isn't there for me. Only the armor set was and I'm not sure if anyone else has this issue
I found the place in Eon vault.. got the armor set but couldnt find the device material for the class for some reason.. ran it a couple more times still no luck
Found it in timeless horizon area. Northwest path. Up a decent ways along the right side of the path. I believe every ones world is different/random but hopefully this helps someone!
To me the galaxy brain is to mix it with challenger to become even more tanky and also decrease the encumberance of heavy armor combining more effective armor with heavier armor so you're just this walking tank with a minigun.
Keep in mind that N'Erud has two campaign story maps and you get one at random. So if you can't find the area or can't see it on the map, it's because you have the other campaign map. Best to join other people's worlds and hope they have that map
@noobeternal9718 yes i just got it in adventure mod. It was on the second part of the map elons vault. The structure looked just like that in the video.
Search the map boundaries near the last main dungeon on your second map of N’erud. This landmark was not even clearly visible in my playthrough due to the purple fog so it could be a bit harder to even spot. But I got it with some vomiting and rolling.

Helpful tip for maneuvering in the fog, just spam your dodge/roll key. You'll only get the puke animation when you stop to pickup the technician armor set/alien device. Unfortunately for me my playthrough is bugged and I only had the technician gear spawn, no alien device.
So… literally as I’m watching this video I saw the platform on the left with spikes on the right. Jumped over the gap in the fog and found the armor and engram. I was in the Timeless Horizon, so it would seem there are different areas this can spawn in
I just unlocked the summoner and doing a tanky build after I complete this campaign I might mix the summoner with this build so I can have a 2 pets and a turrent at all times

The soul anchor amulet works with the engineer, you get a 20% damge boost when you deply the turret.
also can be in Timeless Horizon. there will always be a hill or mountain behind the entrance structure when I'm timeless. makes it super easy to find

For future reference, show where you’re suppose to be in relation to where you are on the map. Makes it so much easier to find things

the armor is right next to the class item, the armor is on a ledge just above the class item. talkin 10-20 feet away.
I have the opposite issues armor no class material. Just need to get RNG I guess.

The hole in the ground immediately on the ground is the easiest thing to look at for me
Ngl i found the armor, couldnt find the class thing. Saw both aliens but only 1 of em had a glowy thing and it was the armor set.
So I've done this 7 times..the yellow glowing alien device you show in your video is not there on the second corpse, so does it not always show up?
