The fact that they were captured in the first place does not make sense. I mean how did Barry even get captured in the first place. Brainiac also does not appear to be as powerful as other iterations, especially given how the Squad essentially just killed him with guns, a bunch of dudes and a Shark were able to resist him, yet Wonder Woman gets captured and escapes only due to Barry's ability to phase

to me it just looks like they killed off Arkham Knight batman for no reason, and there was no reason for it to specifically be that batman from the universe that everyone was excided to see come back for maybe a final part.

Actually they were originally going to work on a superman game after Arkham Knight set in the Arkham-verse but WB denied it. Then they were going too make a Justice League game but it also got denied. Then WB wanted them to make a cash grab live service game since those make games like CoD lots of money 🤑🤑🤑 so Rocksteady decided to work on a Suicide Squad game since they were some what relevant at the time. But Rocksteady wanted to go bold and there’s no better way being very bold then for the squad to do an impossible mission… kill the Justice League. The problem is though is them deciding to make it canon to the Arkham universe wish ruins Batman journey/the Arkham universe. Honestly I think this game wouldn’t be as he hated if it wasn’t set in the Arkham universe & it had more better ways of how they actually killed the league. But yes do know that even though this game is a disrespectful piece of 🗑️💩 this wasn’t what Rocksteady originally wanted to make and they were kinda forced into it. That’s why the original CEOs and most of the OG team of the studio left during development of the game and just started their own studio. So yes most of the people at rocksteady right now aren’t the same people who worked on like Arkham Asylum for example. For anyone thinking that we can get another Arkham game from the new studio is very unlikely since they won’t have the rights to DC, but still I do trust them to make bangers since they worked on the main three Arkham games. Our only hope for another good Arkham game now is WB Games Montréal who worked on Arkham Origins. Maybe they can give us a game set between Origins and Asylum and they could bring back Roger Craig Smith as Batman and Troy Baker as joker since Mark Hamill retire as him even though I think they should take a break from Joker. But yea sorry for yapping all of this, didn’t realize how long it will be. And yes all this information is real & for proof just look it up on the Internet there’s literally articles on it that give some insight.

A potential Batman Beyond game got cancelled for this.
Crazy thing you can notice, is Batman's arm shaking as he's pointing the gun at Harley. There's still a part of him fighting whether or not he can really make a difference.

Like the only member who should’ve used a gun should’ve been Deadshot, with Harley using maybe her six shot. That way beating the league would’ve felt a bit more earned. So this is the Justice League’s first real extraterrestrial threat in this game, timeline, and universe.
Not only does that mean that they let Brainiac come to Earth, but that they also got mind controlled and killed off, all within their first interaction with him.
Rocksteady gave us the shittiest version of the Justice League to date.

This could have easily been another Arkham game. Imagine Batman being the sole survivor of Brainiac's invasion and he has to find a way to cure the JLA members to stop the invasion. Imagine playing as Batman enacting his own plans to stop the justice league and grappling with the dilemma of killing his friends to free them from their fate as Brainiac's lackeys. You could even have sections of the game where the Bat family comes and aids you in certain missions. So many ideas would have been better than this. Instead we got a live service crap show with an overabundance of filler missions and content designed to keep the live service aspect alive. I can't believe they went this route with this game. The mind truly boggles.
Also, Batman would be the LAST person to fall into Brainiac's hands. He'd be the last human left on earth before Brainiac could reach him. Plus they did Robin so dirty... the level of disrespect for the source material and the characters is UNBELIEVABLE.
EXACTLY what I thought. Batman resisting the brainwashing due to his sheer will and curing the other members while enacting his contingency plans.
Sadly instead we got Batman killed by some B level goons while they are even under the fear toxin, Superman somehow surviving impalement into his chest with cryptonite and Flash severely nerfed (and copied to Brainiac none the less)

You know what is the worst part? That idea could have easily gone through and still keep the Suicide Squad in the game as secondary characters carrying out a similar suicide mission as the one that they undergo in this game, only this time actually engaging. Then have Bruce work both to save his comrades and prevent the Squad from potentially killing them, which should have been Wonder Woman's mission in this game yet they completely wasted her

I was reading somewhere that this is NOT the last thing Mr Conroy recorded and in fact there are 3 or 4 more things set to release that he is still voice acted on, wether they be games or animations I’m glad this is not how his legacy ends

Man they are strait defiling the corps of the Arkham games for the least bit of cred in this game. I've only seen a few cut scenes and I'm already sick of Harley and her schtick, can imagine playing this for hours. Batmans final weapon, the mute button.

Okay this being Brainiac's first appearance for the League I GUESS can justify catching the League off guard. But when you put Brainiac in a room with the entire league and make the flash TOO SLOW to save Superman and the ONE WORD JUSTIFICATION for how Super Man, you know, DC's friendly Home lander and Omni man gets captured is LITERALLY just "kryptonite" you lost me. I already have many grievances with this game's writing but come on. Rocksteady actually "nanomachines, son" superman by saying the reason he gets captured and converted was one-word long. and it's the weakness literally everyone knows about. I guess somehow Superman just can't help himself from sucking on some kryptonite. I get it's effective, but how do you catch up with Superman and stab him with a rock in a room with Batman, Wonder Woman, the flash AND a green lantern. You can't simply make the reason your game is even happening an off-screen event that is VERY poorly explained in tapes. It seems like even Rocksteady knows how BS this is with how they hide everything important that happens in the game

@@Yousvennson723 Yes it absolutely is. In fact, I don't think it's even possible to beat Superman (as mortals) without kryptonite involved. That said, my problem isn't that kryptonite was involved in Superman's downfall. It's that Superman's downfall isn't shown, isn't explained, and kryptonite, despite being Superman's weakness, isn't a guaranteed victory by simply holding it on your person. and so to brutally summarize Superman's loss as literally just "kryptonite" does nothing to tell the audience just HOW Superman lost. I mean really try and logic it out. You are Brainiac. You are in a room with THE Flash, Arkham Batman, Superman himself, Wonder Woman and one of the famous Green Lanterns. And all we know you do is use kryptonite somehow. How do you catch Arkham Batman off guard when he is already skeptical of you? How do you hit Superman before he can see it coming, shit before the FLASH can see it coming? The point is, I don't know the answer to those questions and probably neither do you and idk about you but me personally I hate having to ask why or how to major plot elements. And the fact that literally no one who's played the game can tell you with certainty what happened on that ship to make the Justice League lose is a sign to me that Rocksteady doesn't even know wtf happened on that ship or how this game even happened.
tl;dr one-word explanations on how a character lost without showing the loss itself in the source material is actually hilariously lazy and so despite the efficacy of kryptonite, this simply doesn't cut it for most if not all fans of these characters. I see it as no different than if Luke Skywalker fell in battle and we never see it but are told he lost "because of the dark side of the force." Or if Harry Potter lost off-screen in a new addition to the series "because the killing curse". It's like yea if these characters WERE to go out in battle that is probably what the cause of their downfalls would be but that does nothing to show or tell anything about what actually happened. It's lazy and gross writing from a company that lost all their passionate team to sell outs who use the Arkham name and the rich history of these characters as a stepping stool for profit

I feel this game could have been Batman Kills the Justice League, it would make much more sense bc of the protocols he has in place. Batman literally says to kill him u need the years of training I have taught u and for all 3 of the bat family to team up to take him out. Yet instead all it takes is a rag tag group of criminals who just bc they treat each other like family to kill Batman. If u still want to keep it as Suicide Squad then instead leave Batman alive instead of Wonder Woman to help you, and for each Justice League member death you have Bruce giving a heart felt speech/message about them. Then at the end Batman unfortunately gets controlled and you then need to get the help of the bat family that have been trying to protect Gotham from Brainiac goons. You defeat Batman with the bat family and get a heartfelt goodbye to Batman but also Kevin. I also find it fucking insane that the whole Brainiac taking over the JL is done in audio logs like they couldn’t give us a cutscene instead to show how it happened. Also maybe a cutscene of what had happened between Nightwing and Batman, like they had so many ways through cutscenes instead of gameplay to push the man campaign longer than god damn 10 hours.

They could've created a Superman game Who followed the Arkham steps....showing us in a better way how he met Bruce After project knightfall (in a good way, not that shut where they say thay after the JL, Bruce left Gotham, something that he would never do)... But no... They had to do this
I don't mind playing from the villain's perspective but I prefer if we got a game that plays as Batman who joins the Justice League despite his identity exposed in the Arkham Knight series. Bruce willing to help the world knowing his identity is known would've been an interesting approach. The Justice League vs Brainiac would've been fun

This is SAD and BEAUTIFUL at the same time. Brainiac sadly got them killed(as far as we know, maybe there's still hope they are still alive), because of how good of SUPERHEROES they were/are/will forever be. That is what good guys do, they fight crime and evil everywhere. May they rest in peace.
They can be revived with DC magic shenanigans and what not. While there are not Infinity Gems and Infinity Gauntlet i'm sure they could all be revived with some timetravel shenanigans or what not maybe through one of the Flash kids Speed Forcing their way to the past and changing the timeline so that Brainiac doesn't kill them all.
The are already leaks suggesting they are alive tho I’m guessing Batman will probably stay dead same with Wonder Woman cause she isn’t brainwashed and gets killed by Superman

It’s like making a new season of breaking bad with different actors replacing roles, and then Walt comes back to life just to get killed by Marie or something. Half of these games problems could be solved just by making it not take place on the Arkham universe. They made a perfect ending to his story and now they ruined it, and the messages and themes the story stood for. Batman gets merked in Gotham Knights too, but despite being an even worse game it didn’t get as much hate because 1. It treated the characters and lore with respect and 2. It didn’t take place in a mainstream universe so it’s no big deal what happens. Also is no one gonna talk about how 2 different studios released the same mf game? If u ignore the details like plot and gameplay it’s basically the same shit, a very mid co op live service game reliant on a battle pass that won’t work without internet. I feel like this game would’ve been a lot cooler and satisfy both suicide squad fans and justice league fans if the game had STARTED with the plot of these tapes. Being able to play all the members of the justice league in figuring out brainiac, helping the players realize the strength and power within each league member, then brainiac taking control of the league, then that’s when the “suicide squad” playable characters start and you play to kill the league. This could leave more room for more dialogue and story plot between the league and when you play as the suicide squad killing the league, almost giving the feeling of losing something powerful to evil and having to destroy it. This would allow both the “justice league game” and the suicide squad to be a playable story plot. Almost like the injustice games having a detailed story and understanding.

Probably would have been cool to have this animated into a cutscene so we could get some interesting backstory on this League, maybe Brainiac, maybe the weird and forced rivalry between Floyd and John....but I guess not.

The way the music slowly builds, and we get the close up shot of Batman, it literally gives the vibe that he’s gonna do something dramatic and escape last second. It literally builds up the hype…for nothing. Nothing happens. She just kills him and the hype dies immediately. It’s like they wanted us to feel “excited” and have this “expectation”, and then they don’t deliver for shock value.
