  • Hey Guys!
I figured, i needed a once and for all pedalboard to be built.
Its great to have access to the tones on the floor, but ive never been one to keep it neat and clean....
So, in this video, i do my best with nothing extravagant.
    Pedals:
    2008 mjm fuzz (nkt)
    Kingtone octaland
    Late 60’s vox wah
    Kingtone BluesPower
    R weaverFX violet vibe
    Ibanez echomachine
    Korg mini tuner
    Here are the amazon links:
    www.amazon.com/Adhesive-Backe...
    www.amazon.com/Units-Audiobla...
I used my 1959 Fender Stratocaster and a Custom by Cougar 75w head, through a 4x10 cab!
    Thanks everyone!

Plugging in to the looper as a junction is a brilliant idea! Seems like it makes it possible for layouts like yours here, where without it a bigger board would probably be needed. Wicked tones!

That Violet Vibe NAILS the vintage vibe tone. The Octaland also sounds awesome, some of the newer octave fuzz pedals don't sound quite as natural, if that makes sense.

Keep coming back to this build, because I have a lot of same pedals, same Pedal Train board, and a desire for many of the same tones.
    I have been experimenting with running the Vibe>Fuzz>Octave only>Overdrive>Dirty Little Secret>Echoplex pedal>Reverb>Tuner
I would like to get rid of the Overdrive and DLS, for a Blues power, pickup an amp with Reverb, and be able to add a Wah...have a One Spot power supply with 7 slots.

I'm fairly new to your channel Nik and it's an awesome channel! I have an Ultravibe too. Bob Sweet was an awesome guy. He made a speed pedal for my ultravibe using an old dunlop wah pedal he had laying around which was really cool of him. I have a hodge-podge of pedals laying about but unfortunately no vintage fuzz face. I'll find one at some point or maybe make my own. I smiled when you pulled out the "ladybug" echo. For jams I use an ibanez ladybug tube screamer, along with their chorus and delay pedal and sometimes I add the ultravibe and a wah. I need to build a pedalboard at soon. I'll search your channel to see if I can find you demoing your ultravibe to see how it sounds with your vintage pedals. Thanks for an excellent channel and for this build video! Atb - Luther

I would try putting them em up. Both my vintage fenders the key for me seems to be in the treble and the mids. I use a d style pre amp clean drive pedal for mids mostly and it works lovely with my Pro Reverb or Bandmaster both my fenders. In my experience with the 60s blackface amps I’ve own they seem to open up once you find your spot and for me it’s usually the mids that make all the difference

Did SRV use treble bleed circuits in his guitar?
Marshall Plexi head, fender hotrod 25watt. I don't think it has anything to do with the guitars pickups, amps, speakers. I think it has to do what kind of fuzz pedal will give this glassy texas tone because SRV was using the fuzz pedal as a clean EQ pedal instead of using it as a fuzz pedal for his clean texas tones. Plus SRV used marshalls and other amps and still got that glassy texas tone so it has to be that cesar diaz fuzz making that glossy texas tone.

I just thought a treble bleed would only change the frequency response and the guitars output impedance but the glassy texas tone was from the fuzz acting as a special eq pedal that is creating that glassy sound.

Why not use the tuner instead of the looper. Go from the guitar to the tuner and then the fuzz. Does the tuner have a buffer or is there some other reason you don't want to do that?Move your tuner to where the looper is and you could save some space. Hell, you've probably already ditched this pedal board. Never mind 🤪

Oddly enough, i tried that. But going through the tuner first didnt sit well with the fuzz

@@theriffwniksevigny5473 That's what I figured. I just ordered the violet vibe and it's on it's way. I've got a vibe machine v2 and 2 dejavibe's, an old one and a brand new one and gotta say that the dejavibe's really don't do it for me. IMO the vibe machine v2 is closer to what I want but I have yet to play through one that I feel is right. Haven't found one with the deep throb I'm looking for. Hopefully the violet vibe does it cuz I ain't quittin till I find it.
Hope your hands are doing better. I'm fixing to get surgery for dupuytrens contracture as I let it go to long and the simple procedure won't work but that's okay because surgery is supposed to be more definite. That is to say it last longer. If you get the procedure it's more apt to come back and it supposedly comes back fairly soon. Anyway, I have a good friend that got the surgery and he was good to go in 8 weeks.
Have a good 'un and keep them videos coming.
