    Love the videos, looking forward to watching all the tips this week, and learning a lot.
    I definitely need to learn how to catch more fish. I decided to get into fishing few weeks go. Spent over 10-grand on Hobie PA 14, trailer, lowrance elite 7 Ti, micro anchor 10-rod and reels, and tackle. So far all I have caught is two 7” bass. And one 14.5” bass.
    But it has still been a lot of fun, being out on the water. I do officially hate fluorocarbon. I been using seaguar braid on all my lews reels 30-50lb. Then I decided to put fluorocarbon on two of the 5:6.1 gear ratio ones for crank baits, and spinners. Never get a back lash with braid. But the fluorocarbon was constant backlash. Am talking before the lure even got half way to water. I tried setting brake on max no luck. I even went as far as adjusting the knob that makes lure fall slower or faster, to where it didn’t fall at all. Still backlash. And it is the $20 stuff on a Lews tournament lite reel. Ok enough of the rant. But any advice on what might be going on with the fluorocarbon?

    Hey Fluke, I would recommend getting a lip clip to use when weighing a bass. The hook on the weighing scale can cause damage to the fish when put under the gill plate.

    • @Flukemaster
      @Flukemaster  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I totally agree. That's a brand new scale and haven't installed the lip gripper yet.

    • @phfishing3723

    I would love to share a photo of a 13lb Bass (PB so far!!) I caught off of submerged grass.. I was using a SENKO wacky rigged worm and working it off the top of the brown dying grass and pulling it to the edge slowly with a little action on top (Creating something for them to see and hear) and letting it fall off the edge!!! Thanks again for a great video, Gene!!! +Flukemaster Another great lesson!

    Gene, been subscribed for years now and you've taught me how to fish. One thing I don't think you have on your channel is a video dedicated on how to fish a rocky lake. The lake near me in north Texas is all deep rocks and I find it difficult to fish it out of my kayak. I throw a 1/4th oz lipless crank bait and bounce it off rocks and haven't had much luck. When I fish a shaky head I feel like I'm not covering enough water. What do I do!? A video on how to fish rocks in 15ft of water would be amazing! Cheers.

    great video fluke as usaul. here in mass the rivers have alot of heavy mill foil and this here is my favorite technique, but my problem is the stubborn farther inlaw that owns the boat will never slow down to fish it because he only throws moving baits and don't fish vegetation cause he gets hung up and won't take my advice cause he's the type that knows it all lol. what do I do about that lol. in a way it's good because I'll flip a jig or flipping bait behind him and pickup them missed bites and pisses him off. thanks gene best channel on utube and 100 times better than anything on outdoor channel u the best

    Wouldn't using a mojo rig on top of the grass defeat the free-floating idea of a finesse Carolina, Gene? I've never tried it, but it seems like the weight would settle into the crannies of the grass, pulling the bait in with it, and hang up every time.

    Your videos are always informative and I always learn something new. However, the videos in which you put the camera towards the back of the boat and allow more of a panoramic shot are a lot better for us viewers to see exactly what it is you are fishing and how you are approaching it. Sometimes the camera angles are too narrow to really get a good feel of exactly what is is you are doing. The more we can see of your surroundings the better. Just FYI as I know you are always looking for ways to better your channel. Thanks and keep up the good work.

      I can't wait to get it I'm so happy you designed the 6'5 heavy rod it's going to be a great tool for kayak fishing.

    i love your vids but i dont see much please get a chest mount or something please, thanks

      There's nothing to see when fishing out in the middle of the lake. When I'm on the bank I show more of where I'm fishing. As much as I can without a camera man. Chest mounts make me want to puke and give jerks more reason to call me fat.
