- Learn to leverage the power of the modifier stack in 3ds Max for 3D modeling.
It's hands down the best part of 3ds Max. By using the modifier stack, models can be generated procedurally, making the entire 3D modeling process easier and more efficient.
Check out this tutorial to see the steps used to create this stunning metal facade where you can adjust the shape, count and size at ease.

• Follow the steps in this tutorial:⬇️⬇️
- Start by creating a curved line in the viewport.
- Adjust its shape, and make a copy the spline to determine the height of the facade.
- Copy the base line as a ‘Reference’ and name the new object properly.
- Apply ‘Normalize Spline’ modifier, set it to ‘Knot Count’ and increase it to around 30.
- Enable ‘Linear Segments’ to optimize the model.
- Add ‘Cross Section’ modifier to connect all the vertices.
- Apply ‘Sweep’ modifier and set section to ‘Bar’.
- Select the base line again, make another copy and make sure it’s set to ‘Reference’.
- Apply ‘Sweep’ to the new object and increase its size to create the beams model.
