A few years ago, I worked at a hotel around New Year's Eve. Ali and her family were staying there. I was taken with how much her family cared about her. How proud they were of her. I remember her coming down the stairs in her New Year's Eve dress, and the look of love her family had for her, like they were bursting to show her off.
