A few years ago, I worked at a hotel around New Year's Eve. Ali and her family were staying there. I was taken with how much her family cared about her. How proud they were of her. I remember her coming down the stairs in her New Year's Eve dress, and the look of love her family had for her, like they were bursting to show her off. It made me feel a little warmer about the world, about life.

Lot of history in these mountains between Burnsville NC to Cocke County TN.Majority of my neighbors were in the movie Thunder Ridge and it was filmed just down the road,however no one was as good as Ole Popcorn.

They were my great x4 or 5 grandparents. I know the true story. It's been passed down within the family. You did my ancestors well in this song. Thank you.
