Dear Ilya, I used to play the piano up till Chopin Op. 28 no: 4. Now I am very old and spend my days behind my PC ( I broke my leg) are filled with music and that makes me so happy. I'm north of Amsterdam.

I watched this because of the thumbnail - I thought you also play the harp! However, it's a pleasant surprise - getting to know Chirskov, your playing in a different style, the costume and the wink at the end. Your playing is amazing and the atmosphere great!
Just realized the composer is Tsfasman, and you are Chirskov the performer not the composer 🙂. I do know a few pianists who can also play the harp - perhaps you are the same - the thumbnail shows you place the hands on the harp like a proper harpist.
Charming and fluid with a wink no less!

The best thing about this recording is you can tell the absolutely uncontrollable, almost hysterical happiness that everyone is trying desperately to hold back to prevent it screwing up the coordination of the orchestra xD You all are having so much fun it's making me laugh sitting here watching it a year later!
Dear Piotr, maybe your words are the best compliment among all previous I’ve received during my life. Once upon a time great Russian singer Galina Pisarenko - she was taught educated by Nina Dorliak, another great singer and Sviatoslav Richter’s wife - told me the same: “Beloved Ilya, you are playing classical music very very well, but your Tsfasman and other popular music are really fantastic!”.
It’s a not very modest thing to tell this story but I know you will understand me correctly.

@@chirskov Galina has good taste in music and in musician ship! I hope you post some videos of some other Tsfasman tunes, do you play any of his foxtrots? His song On A Distant Journey (I believe that's the semi correct translation to English from Russian, I'm Polish but the Russian alphabet is of course nowhere near readable for me xD) is a beautiful one!
