Elron Hoover, is a play on Elron Hubbard and Hoover vacuum cleaners! I loved this album. I remember getting it when it first came out, and just cracking up, and really digging on the music. It's great! And I'm glad you like it--you get it!!!

Rory, you nailed it on the head! I've never heard of another musical artist, except for maybe Weird Al that can write, conduct, and play music at such a high level and piss all over it with the lyrics at the same time. He does it at the beginning of Watermelon in Easter Hay when the Central Scrutinizer is narrating at the beginning of the song and he laughingly says, "Who gives a fuck anyway?". He then plays the most beautiful guitar solo you've ever heard. It's an incredibly unique dynamic that takes Zappa's music to another level. Enjoying this as always!

And Joe has to learn German because Germany makes good appliances while America's craftsmanship "is a little bit cheesy, but nicely displayed."

It fills my heart to see you giggling along with me listening to one of my childhood faves. I was about 15 when this came out and it was worn out on the turntable. I think the motivation for Frank came from wanting to have fun and make people laugh while creating an environment conducive to musical experimentation

Great Zappa's songs in one of the songs he added reggae influences that I LOVE. When I see the album's cover with a mop, makes me laugh and it's true, it's a genius, thanks Rory. 🤘🎸👏🤗

I love to see that you experience the same as I did 35 years ago first listening to Joe's Garage and the story of poor Joe😂

Thanks as always. Did you catch that the lyrics in stick it out reference both Jewish princess and the Fillmore East album?

Did you know that Stick It Out goes back to the Flo & Eddie-era Mothers?
It's played on the Freaks & Motherf***ers Beat the Boots release.

Scientology was definitely a known thing in 1979. I remember being at the bookstore and seeing A big display of L. Ron Hubbard's "Dianetics." It was with Science fiction & fantasy so I thought it might be cool. My older sister came over and was like "That's a crazy cult"

After ‘Stick it out’ you say it’s both mature and immature, and I waiting for your reaction to ‘Sy Borg’ 😅
