    Love your content and I think AppSumo sponsoring doesn’t influence anything other than helping you make more great reviews 🎉

    @DaveSwift - My day is made!!!, Thank you. Had missed your comment responses. My bad.
    I haven't used any prospecting, warm-ups and sequencing tools. But I about to launch a venture that is going to require it. Hence the reason why i'm trying to find the best tools.
    From what you are saying, it would seem that there's a need to mix-and-match, and have a solid workflow.

      Yeah, I always like uni-taskers. That way if something is a stinker, goes under, or your needs just change you can easily replace the one component.

    Great breakdown do you think it's better to buy an LTD on the company's website

      @@dave-swift just in general... With LTDs folding do you think we as buyers could help companies more by purchasing directly through them. Just an assessment & opinion

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I think you have to make this decision for yourself.
      The AppSumo comparison to Amazon is very strong. More so than it was just 4-5 years ago.
      Many ecommerce store owners sell on Amazon because it's where people want to buy, even if they have their own website which sells the same products.
      I will always buy on Amazon, for the faster shipping, easy returns, and similar prices. I know it isn't in the best interest for the manufacturer, but it works best for me. I've been burned buying direct. I'm sure others have horror stories from Kickstarters, etc.
      AppSumo does a service to both developers and customers. They bring customers to developers. They give customers a 60-day refund window and offer a 6 or 12 month buyer protection policy (help.appsumo.com/article/698-purchase-protection-policy).
      I will still buy lifetime deals from known companies. For example, WP Managene Ninja -- I recently made a video about FluentBoards (th-cam.com/video/RLAtybYV6TI/w-d-xo.html) -- that is a company I would trust. There are other companies like this as well, but they tend to be WordPress plug-ins, so really they just need to push a few updates a year and provide minimal customer support.
      Would I buy some random LTD I see on a facebook ad from a company I've never heard of? Unlikely. It's too risky to me.
      Software is a commodity now. There are 30K SaaS companies and counting... if you add in all the AI startups its a lot more.
      I encourage people to buy what they need, at a price they can afford, and make use of the tool immediately to return a profit.
      If you want to hoard and collect tools, that's fine too... but keep in mind 60% of software companies fail within the first few years, so don't be surprised when some LTDs don't last either. It sucks, but it's part of the process.
      BTW - This response is for a general audience, not just directed at you. I get asked about this sort of thing frequently and since there was a round of tools going under, it's on everyone's mind.
      This is my view. Your mileage may vary.

      @@dave-swift I think your approach is the best of both worlds! The over the shoulder look as you setup and learn how to use the product with UX feedback suggestions gives us the opportunity to make up our minds about the products you review. Especially when you find a feature that you love (never seen before, brilliant, must have etc...) or notice something that is off putting or simply poorly executed. Again, we can see it for ourselves with the over the shoulder perspective... But I admit the grading for me is the golden buzzer moment and carries a lot of weight because of KLT.

      @@dave-swift Not an LTD. Comes w/ 1 yr of updates and we know what that means. They say "1 year of Basic plan updates, with the option to renew directly through Xnapper".

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The deal is for the basic plan. You get lifetime access.
      Updates are 1 year and then you can continue to updates for 40% off purchase price.
      They state this on their website: The discount is calculated based on your purchase price and will never change, even if the official price goes up in the future.
      If you don't renew, you can still use the last version you have forever, there is no expiration date.

    @DaveSwift - Would it be possible for us to have a discussion on SAASs that change their LTD terms after the sale? Would like to know how AppSumo plans on handling this. There are some that are blatant changes, and some that are more nuanced. Let me know if we can have a back-and-forth via email.

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Meh, my results with the deals I’ve bought don’t align with that sentiment.
      Most AppSumo deals are priced so that you get good value even if you only use them for a year or two.
      If a tool goes under in the first six months (or one year for Plus members) AppSumo gives you credits back.

      Content groove closed down; some platforms stop responding to customers for support… after 60 days refund window… like email delivery, Ocoya, etc.
