Hey that rubber O-ring did it come with the new hub kit? I didn't see it when you pulled the prop off of yours. Also I just pulled my prop cause I am mounting a Permatrim Cavitation Plate on my AV plate., anyway I didn't see a rubber O-ring on mine either..by the way I have the 16' 8" Classic which is the same boat as the 170, mine has a 50 hp also..same set up as you, hull anyway.
Instead of using the board...put it in reverse and you can do this with one hand

Rubber O-ring is there, if you assembled it without the O-ring… not a huge deal. Prop might move back and forth about an 1/8”
