As someone who grew up in a time when cameras and photos like these were state of the art, I don't really understand the draw for younger people using them, again. Definitely proof that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm glad you like them, though, and that's what matters.
As a younger person (tho not so much anymore, im 28), in the era of digital "everything", having the pleasure of taking pictures manually, and getting a physical photo is such an underrated treasure. The few instant photos we've taken with my friends hold a special place in all of our hearts. We love checking the albums years later, we love sharing the pictures we've taken of each other, sometimes we even borrow each others pics just to have them with us as a reminder of our good times together. With digital, this is... harder. You take 50 photos in one night, post one on Instagram, and then forget about all of them in 2 days. I started going back to analog photography, and instant photography, because of this. My mom also doesn't get it, she says it's amazing all we have available nowadays compared to before. And it's true! Yet i don't see people sitting around a photo album anymore. Not new ones, at least. Whenever people do that, the albums are old, taken with old cameras. I'd like to bring that tradition back, to be able to take these memories and share them in a group, without everyone having to stare at a screen and see thousands of inconsequential photos i took with my phone "just because i could" Hope this helps to see my perspective on the subject! it's a topic i'm really passionate about
@@Forever_Muffin I completely understand what you're saying about having a physcial photo as opposed to a online image. But, couldn't you just get a nice portable printer that could give you a phyical copy of a BETTER photo from a digital camera? That's the way I would go with it. 🤷🏼
Well, the first image the glass camera is blurry from camera shake and on that red car 8:50 you covered the flash with your hand. Thanks for testing anyway. Some daylight shots with the sun behind would be more meaningful.
My original just shoots near black photos, or near white, every photo looks like it’s taken at midnight . It won’t shoot without flash, when flash is in it comes out blurry and still dark, they sent me a new one and it’s the same anddd it eats every photo and I have to open the back up, rip it out and now the film is exposed …. Got sick of doing it in the dark to save the film… it happened to every single one! Not worth the brand tbh …
Solid. I do like the look of the glass more.
Good, thanks for making me feel a little better about the purchase lmao

It's always cool seeing old stuff come back around, it always seems to eventually

Not a lot of old school instant enthusiasts around it seems, so good to see it's still around and being enjoyed, thanks!
I love the old school!
This made me feel a lot better about keeping the original!
Using the remote lens cap for shutter release instead of bumping the button on the tripod might give sharper results.
00:05 I found Jonah! What do I win?
He's basically Waldo!

Lens cap remote.
Yes, lens cap remote is pretty smart!
