Great looking setup! I have the same desk shelf and it is a great budget one. I recommend painting the cork legs black to help them blend in a little bit better. I used a basic spray paint which I had to air them out in the garage to get rid of the paint smell for a bit before putting them back on the desk.

hi man - do you need an audio interface for those personus speakers? What all cables do i need to be setup because i heard that they don't come with everything. I have a focusrite scarlett solo interface btw.
It depends on your setup bro, this speaks can plug directly to the computer’s audio jack. But if you introduce a mic to your setup than, having an interface its a great choice. Depends on which cable you want with it. This one brings power, speaker to speaker cable and an aux

Hi Caimar, what did you use in order to have the countertop not move around like crazy? I bought the Karlby walnut one and it slides around so easy without anything under it. What do I do.
Hey brother i feel you lol. That was my concern when i got it them too and i even thought about using some double sided strips, but I didn’t have confidence on how it would age. So I aligned the top with the Alex and pre drilled the bottom of the Karlby using the guiding holes that came off the Alex. Because the Alex was made to be attached to any Ikea top. I hope that helps my brother.
Back 2015/17 (not exactly sure when so) when I did build my rig, I had nothing but hassle buying stuff from Ebay, either wrong stuff delivered, nothing delivered, having to exchange and wait months for stuff and returning some none working by ringing with the seller/Producer of the mainboard since nobody felt responsible ... I really can understand why people only buy from Amazon, less hussle simple and efficent. In future I continue to only buy from Alternate/Amazon because of that. Screw Ebay.
I feel like ebay have the market back in 09-13ish. But they did this to themselves by not enforcing seller authenticity so give buyers more trust to return to the platform. And the way Amazon's pricing and handling is so competitive its clear why people stick to Amazon for the most part

I screwed from the inside of the alex drawers, ikea provides a guide, pre-drilled holes and the screws.

NOOO, you built a SPONSORED DESK SETUP. most people wont think a 600 dollar chair is Budget... most of the stuff you have there was given to you for free... So sure free for you is BUDGET, for everyone else.. not so much. I think if you want to showcase a Budget setup, you should give people low cost options that are not given to you to test or show off. The set up did turn out nice, and I like the blending of the greenish blue light with the dark gray and orange. It turned out nice, I just feel your title is misleading. All in all Great job.

I said a very similar thing in my comment. When considering the videos title is geared toward students it’s hard to call something like this a “budget” build when a few of the high ticket items were provided and paid for by the company.

I make close to 6 figures working full time and pay for school out of pocket. Hard pressed to say a student could realistically afford this set up without having TH-camr money or free sponsored products.

Great question bro, to be upfront, i didnt do the full budget but without the chair i spent over $1,400
Just my experience but the ergotune was hell on my lower back. Had to return.
I was waiting to drop my review on the official chair review but since you brought it up lol... I can not use a chair with aggressive lower back supports like this one. Since day 1. I had to develop a new sitting position to accommodate but still. It's been over a month, and I wish this lumbar support was removable. Dam Shaun, i was trying to hold back lol
@@CaimarSalizi haha yeah I wanted to like it and tried making all kinds of adjustments but it really just felt like I was being jabbed in the lower back all day. Picked up a herman miller mirra second hand and am much happier.

1:13 KMT, from I looked at it I KNEW it could NOT be "budget". You kept spending and adding it. Budget does not mean you not buying the high end versions of say the desk and chair, it means u have $500 for eg. be practical and that set up is NOT PRACTICAL.

Setup looks nice. But i don't know what's Budet in it. Last time i've checked, students where debt ridden and broke, i don't know why you suggest things that expensive and that useless at the same time. there is way better and cheaper ways to make yourself a good setup for study than this...
I don't really appreciate that nearly $1700 of equipment was sponsored for this "budget" setup. It looks great, sure. However if you're going to be a spokesperson to an audience on building a budget setup it feels disingenuous to include that many sponsorships, speak highly of them all, and proceed to call it a "budget" setup.
Outside of that I can tell you make sure your videos are well done and are putting in the work so I'm not knocking the hustle. Again, setup is nice just be a little more selective in the words that are chosen and try not to include paid endorsements in your builds.

I agree in that tech and its accessories can add up quickly and everyone’s definition of budget varies based on their financial standing. My biggest gripe was moreso the sponsored equipment also happened to be some of the more higher ticket items that you didn’t necessarily have to pay for but that isn’t to take away from the opportunity cost it was for you to achieve such a blessing.
