I’ve been snowmobiling here for 12 years and I’ve never came across a game warden luckily. They must be pretty bored in the winter to give someone hell about a loud pipe, especially ditch banging. It’s not like you were doing circles in one spot for an hour.

Just finished putting a top end and rebuilding the diamond drive on a customer's 08 Crossfire 1000. Kinda weird one would show up in my feed but it sounds great so whatever lol. Tbh, I like the sleds from 15-20yrs ago more than the newer sleds, especially for wrenching on and the price tags. Hope ya still have that beast, those Crossfire 1000's are crazy fast!
wish we still got snow in MA to ride sleds. It stopped about 15 years ago. We might get lucky to get 8 inches on the ground and it will be gone within a week. Back in the 90s when we had sleds, it would stay a consistent 2-3-4 feet all winter.
@sledder603 Yeah that is usually what happens here. We get a good 12 inch storm and within a week its 50 outside and it melts. Back then it would stay very cold and the snow would last until mid april.
It’s because you were on the snowmobile trail which the DNR leases/gets permission from every landowner. Landowners complain and opt out which becomes a problem. Only reason they ban aftermarket pipes. Our snowmobile trail has slight variations almost every year from landowners opting out where I am in Michigan.
That's pretty damn awesome!! I've got a place off the Taconite, or the "Kinney Spur", to be more accurate. If you're running the same sled next year, I'll keep my eyes out for yeah. Thanks for the videos bud
The F7 was easier to throw around, I really haven't put enough miles on the 1000 yet to form much of an opinion. It's a lot faster though in the midrange, it pulls hard at 40 to 50mph. Those F7s are probably the best sled for the money though. Just as fast as the new 800s and you can buy them for 3 grand. Thanks for watching the video!
My sled is a lot louder like hear me from 10 miles away but I never ride past quiet time unless I put the stock exhaust on, I live in N.Y. we have no restrictions besides on trails you need front lights light a boat and a rear rain light if in a group also speed zones near homes on the ridge runner trails

Don't look like much snow. We are having a good year this year in Pennsylvania we got about 18 to 20inches in the mountains best year we had in a long time. I got in 1000 miles so far.

Man must be nice to leave right out of the house and go for a rip, sucks living in southern ontario near the windsor border. Dont get that much snow for that long, sometimes it can be decent but nothing like up north.
Yeah, kind of depends on the year. Last year that was about all the snow we got. So far this year, its looking like we will have a good year. It is fun to take a quick ride without having to trailer anywhere :)
@@neisenwoodtv2420 Yeah, thinking about getting the efi f7 with some flip wheels on the skis, 2 min drive on the side of the road and i can rip it in the county. 400 for those wheels beats 2k for a trailer for a 2 min drive.

I had an 06' F7 SnoPro and really liked it. The 1,000 is pretty similar...from 0-40mph, I don't even notice a difference. 40 and above it seems quite a bit quicker. It isn't as nimble as the F7, but I would choose the CFr over the F7 again.

What pisses me off is all summer all you hear is Load Harleys and its ok . But they pick on us snowmobilers for the load pipes , I myself dont purposely crack the throttle in town or by houses .

Hey I have one but I have a problem with it so if you know what’s the problem I would love to know let me explain everytime the sled is idling it’s flooding and I have to keep it wide open for 30 second for it to work normal but once I stop to keep it wide poing it does the same thing

It doesn't matter if it is illegal or not because trails need private land use to work, its is no more complicated then that! Show repect to the landowners that give the right of passage or use, because most land owners recieve nothing for doing this. If its your land then go for it, but not the trail because you are now that guy!
So far, so good. From what I've read, they are about as reliable as the F7's. They need new rings by 3,000 miles. I'll do mine after this season. It's a fun sled, like my buddy with a brand new 850 says, it's like riding a super fast couch 😀
Yeah, I like the 128" for around here. I haven't got stuck yet with the 1.77" lug track I put on. I don't think it would do well in the mountains though!
Idk man, loud exhaust laws on sleds seem pretty damn arbitrary to me.. They're sleds, they loud, my bone stock MXZ 600 is loud if im in it. Just seems like another government fundraiser.
Yeah, I'd agree but it still doesn't make it legal. I don't like the law at all, but it's still the law. That sled really is loud af, I can imagine it pissing me off if my house was right on the trail. On the other hand, it was loud with stock exhaust too. The area I was riding in is pretty sparsely populated, 10 to 20 miles from any real town....
The old Suzuki motor used to stumble a little if it loaded up too heavy on oil. The old oil pumps used to be pretty much 2 stage idle and open for any throttle range. Otherwise it's just minor clutch adjustments

Yk when youre shredding and just in the zone, well the one time I got pulled over by a game warden I was like 16, and I was in front of the pack, and I pulled up to a intersection in the trail, and I saw a person and stupidly hit the gas and then brake drifted to a stop. Unfortunately for me it was a game warden. He was super mad and gave my dad a bunch of shit for letting me ride fast, didn't get a ticket though.

I've been ticked for driving a sled without a license on my own property. In this video you gave video proof of at least twelve snowmobile infractions, including fives traffic violations. In Minnesota you must come to a complete stop at ALL stop signs including snow machines and you must stay to the right of any upgrades in ditches unless you can't because of rivers and creeks. You got lucky that game warden just was checking you, but if they see this video, they could write you a slew of tickets. I do not have a snowmobile anymore because of that one ticket I received, back in the 80's it was a 100-dollar ticket, very expensive back then, now I have an ATV, and I just follow the law, which was granted to the DNR by the Minnesota legislature. That is a nice sled though.

Those 600 and 700s are just as fun. More nimble in the deep stuff. I had to put a paddle track on this one just to get some traction. Fun sled so far!

My dream sled, pipes are perfect loud but not straight pipe type absurd noise. This 1000cc could be louder. Better breathing with those pipes too

Yeah, I like the 128" for around here. I haven't got stuck yet with the 1.77" lug track I put on. I don't think it would do well in the mountains though!

Idk man, loud exhaust laws on sleds seem pretty damn arbitrary to me.. They're sleds, they loud, my bone stock MXZ 600 is loud if im in it. Just seems like another government fundraiser.
Yeah, I'd agree but it still doesn't make it legal. I don't like the law at all, but it's still the law. That sled really is loud af, I can imagine it pissing me off if my house was right on the trail. On the other hand, it was loud with stock exhaust too. The area I was riding in is pretty sparsely populated, 10 to 20 miles from any real town....

The old Suzuki motor used to stumble a little if it loaded up too heavy on oil. The old oil pumps used to be pretty much 2 stage idle and open for any throttle range. Otherwise it's just minor clutch adjustments

Yk when youre shredding and just in the zone, well the one time I got pulled over by a game warden I was like 16, and I was in front of the pack, and I pulled up to a intersection in the trail, and I saw a person and stupidly hit the gas and then brake drifted to a stop. Unfortunately for me it was a game warden. He was super mad and gave my dad a bunch of shit for letting me ride fast, didn't get a ticket though.

@@neisenwoodtv2420 same I’ve got a Z1 Turbo. Had it with an exhaust and programmer. Got in trouble in the sense so it’s back to stock so I can ride with less worry of complaint

I've been ticked for driving a sled without a license on my own property. In this video you gave video proof of at least twelve snowmobile infractions, including fives traffic violations. In Minnesota you must come to a complete stop at ALL stop signs including snow machines and you must stay to the right of any upgrades in ditches unless you can't because of rivers and creeks. You got lucky that game warden just was checking you, but if they see this video, they could write you a slew of tickets. I do not have a snowmobile anymore because of that one ticket I received, back in the 80's it was a 100-dollar ticket, very expensive back then, now I have an ATV, and I just follow the law, which was granted to the DNR by the Minnesota legislature. That is a nice sled though.
