UM SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA A ROYAL CONCERT | HIGHLIGHT

His Royal Highness Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, Chancellor of Universiti Malaya, graced the Royal Concert: UM Symphony Orchestra organized by the Faculty of Creative Arts and Institute of Advanced Studies Universiti Malaya, after 9 years since the last royal concert.
UM Symphony Orchestra (UMSO) blends new musical ideas with retro influences, offering an evening that bridges generations through the universal language of music. The Royal Concert with "Fusion and Retro," themes symbolize the journey through the revival of musical traditions and the blending of diverse styles. The selected pieces, reimagined by our conductor and his protégés, range from semi-classical to traditional, pop, and jazz, drawing from both Eastern and Western influences. The orchestra will be conducted by Professor Dr. Mohd Nasir Hashim, who is a prominent figure in the music arena of the University and the homeland.
