I am at a loss for words at your incredible memory to remember all the tabs. You play for the love of music and it comes across in all your videos. So thanks from the South Pacific island of New Zealand
This song gives me chills every time I hear it. Great cover, been meaning to learn the bass line for years and your videos make that so easy I almost feel guilty :-)
This one was originally overdubbed onto the already released acoustic version by Producer Tom Wilson, following a recording session for Dylan's 'Like a Rolling Stone'. The bass track was played by Philly and NYC session bassist Joe Mack. Mack would play on much NYC session musician output, including tunes for the The Left Banke. When S&G began recording on the West Coast, Joe Osborn would play bass, and Hal Blaine the drum's....most notably on the 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' album.
I'm simply at a loss for words and I'm also pretty sure that all the previous "wow"s covered for everything I was about to say. I would really like to have the tabs, if possible. I've been playing bass for just half a year, but I'm prepared to do my best. Thank you!
you are one of my favorite bass players here on youtube ... thanks for sharing your work man .. i'll love to hear one day a cover of jealous guy on that nice bass of yours ... cheers from H-town
I like your bass to this number. Is it as the original or your own version? I used to play bass for groups back in the 1960's mainly as an amateur but I haven't played for many years. Sometimes I copied the original but other times I improvised. It's a great instrument to play.
This bass line shows that sometimes you just underneath the song compared to another Pual Simon song like 'late in the evening' where you're driving the song
I'm sorry infusion26. I wasn't referring to you. People have commented that asking for tabs is wrong. I just think players should learn whichever way they can as long as they are having fun.
What's wrong with asking for tabs? New players want some guidance. It's not like anyone just picks up the bass and can play it by listening to songs. If you know how to play and have learned you should remember that.
It is not wrong to ask for tabs. I cannot provide them. Finding out yourself and praticing a lot you gradually improve your bass skills. Maybe someone else can help you out. Good luck.
Awesome song! Awesome bass playing! This has always been one of my favourite songs by Simon and Garfunkel.
Finally I can hear the bass. I love the additions u made. I like this better than the original version.
You can hear it in the recording, he just added more color to it.
Effects too
Great bass, great song.

Are you kidding me? This is one of the easiest songs ever.
😆
The best bass cover of the song I've heard
Very perfect and stylish playing. Love all your videos of bass. Your covers of ccr, rolling Stones and others. The 👑 for you.
That moved me man. Sincerley.
Now we're talkin'!!!! A great cover. Joe is an amazing bass player. And on top of it we have the same last name....Cheers
This song gives me chills every time I hear it. Great cover, been meaning to learn the bass line for years and your videos make that so easy I almost feel guilty :-)
WOW VERY COOL
Thank you for sharing, your video's along with others have helped me become a better player.

Another great job well done. Any chance of covering Scott Walkers - The Old Man is Back. It has a really cool bass line played by Scott himself.

Very Nice
Nice. "A Hazy Shade of Winter" would also be nice, may try to work that one out.
Very nice
The double bass was played by Bill Lee on the original 'acoustic version'.
Wow. 8 years ago people were still just playing "bass-lines". Progress is a wonderful thing

I like your bass to this number. Is it as the original or your own version? I used to play bass for groups back in the 1960's mainly as an amateur but I haven't played for many years. Sometimes I copied the original but other times I improvised. It's a great instrument to play.

I did :-) I was in a creative mood :-)
Nice
You're a great player.
Great bass playing man! It sounds great. Do you make some improvisations to spice it up, or do you play exactly what we hear in the studio recording?
Great cover man!, how many years have you been playing?
I made the bass line more interesting.
Love to see the tabs for this. But it's been so long you probably don't have em anymore
exellent
This bass line shows that sometimes you just underneath the song compared to another Pual Simon song like 'late in the evening' where you're driving the song
I'm sorry infusion26. I wasn't referring to you. People have commented that asking for tabs is wrong. I just think players should learn whichever way they can as long as they are having fun.
It sounds good ,but when i listen to the studio version the bass is mainly the root notes.but the way you did it was cool.
Can we have a tablature of it pls ? That's so nice 🔥

Great cover(:
Do you happen to have tabs on it? Please and thank you.
does anyone have these exact tabs? Please...
What's wrong with asking for tabs? New players want some guidance. It's not like anyone just picks up the bass and can play it by listening to songs. If you know how to play and have learned you should remember that.

I picked up the bass and could play by ear, I've never used a tab in my life.
Me too. But I learned guitar first. Never used a tab. I play all by ear.
I'm a beginner and I dont care for tabs. I can just play by ear

this wasnt recorded with a bass orignaly was add later and put on a 45
Indeed, which is why he's playing to the "electric" version. Still remains to be my favorite mix of the song.

Please bass players, stop asking for tabs and train your ear, it's the best way to develop your musical skills.

you still have to start some where
You can start by ear, at least, that's how i did.
