FINALLY someone reacted to Bernhoft. Thank you!! I have waited so long for someone to do this. He is so amazng! He has it all, the amazing voice, incredible musicality, insane guitar skillsnand charisma. I call him a one man band (cause he sounds like a whole band). He couldnt afford bringing a whole band on tour thats how he started with this looping. And yes, he had two bass strings on the guitar. He was actually nomnated for an American grammy award for best RNB abum some years ago, but he didnt win of course (being from «little» Norway). You should react more to him. Everything is done live, from his singing, playing guitar to his recording. Nothing is created or mixed in advance. I got to see him in Chicago. Small venue where I was basically watching the whole show leaning on his monitors. I could read his set list. Great guy! So talented. Love Sunday but be sure to check out his live performance of On Time.
I tried getting Bernhoft over to New Zealand many years ago and I asked him what he would need backline wise. He said a pa and a stool. The guy is a machine!
Just found this.. THANK YOU for highlighting him! He's been around over a decade and more folks need to hear his stuff. New album just dropped! Thank you again!
@@davidshanhun Check out the video from Clearly Confused. Different from the album. He released this single second a few months ago. Just him and the piano. So moving and beautiful. We are all do blessed to have a musician and Songwriter like him in our orbit. Enjoy!
I've followed Bernhoft for a number of years and saw him in concert in Seattle. That guitar in the beginning has bass strings for E and A string. He uses that guitar A LOT! He even did a TED presentation, it was a performance actually. The mics are routed differently so he doesn't have to click more pedals in and out while performing.
I have been to two of his concerts in LA. One where he was solo with the looping system and the second concert when he had the fashion bruises band with him. Both were fantastic! Watch the Audio Tree Live recording of one of his concerts the last year he toured solo. It's excellent. He also has a jam in the van video.
I was at both of those LA concerts. I brought my son with me to the Troubadour show, and Bernhoft absolutely rocked it. Even decided to crowdsurf, and I got to hold his belly for 20 seconds LOL. instagram.com/p/BbQpDAaBQ8d/
I first heard him as vocalist in the band called Span. They had some hits you might recognize. "Found" "Cut like diamonds" I think he's unmatched in what he does solo. His lyrics are also very powerful! Hope this covid carpet lifts soon. I will definitely not waste any time getting tickets to see his show!
You should try his live performance of "On Time" live from Kampren Bistro. It not only has much more overhead shots so you can see him using his set up. He layers with keyboard as well as a few guitar changes. Also real time layering of his own harmonies.
I simple love this guy. Know him for some time now. Great sound, music and musicality. I talk from experience, BOSS OC 3 on some loopers doesnt do is job very well. Tested with rc-300 it sound amazing, and in the T-rex acoustic soulmate doesnt sound that great. Maybe thats the reason he uses bass strings. Cheers my friend.
Hi,please, can somebody explain to me,how he can start track from ofbeat??? Look at 3.23 he starts vocals from 1. beat and then on 5.55 comes vocals from ofbeat.I have Rc 300 and everyloops starts from 1.beat. I can explain it only with volume pedal with good timing. Or? And yes, this man is the best on the "loopworld "
Hi Robert - listening to it again, it sounds like the loop starts again on beat 1 with the phaser on (this is just before 5.55), the phaser makes the re re re re thing he does at the start of the loop seem pretty hidden, but it is still there. hope that helps. Definitely super sneaky and pretty cool!
Hellow sir can you react to mr cam cole he is a british upcomming hottest artist now not a regular loop artist but a very well talented 1man band and a song writer hope you will love it sir and by the way i love that jacket may be you have visited nepal,Greeting from nepal 👏👏👏
awesome! He reminds me of Shaun Kirk - you might like him also if you haven't seen him before :) ...wish I had been to Nepal - not yet - but on my list to visit and experience!
@@davidshanhun i can appreciate the looping skills for sure.. but RNB..?? I'll take you and 2 ghostly apparitions dancing around in the park at midnight any day over RNB.

I've had the privilege of seeing Bernhoft perform live and he is absolutely legit. It's the best magic trick ever.
I‘ve seen Bernhoft over 4 times live - and he does all of that on stage. And better. It blows your mind. So talented. And such a nice and humble guy.
Awesome! Im loving seeing more of his stuff and influence now - never knew he existed before this video request!

Would love to see him live! Have watched a few more clips since this and I love the creativity with the loops he makes!
Discovered bernhoft quite a few years ago. It’s just amazing! Also I saw him live 2 times with his band Fashion bruises in Germany. Hell of a Show!!

Saw him twice too, but in NYC... one with loop, other with the Fashion bruises... definitively some great memories for a lifetime...

awesome! this was the first time I came across him! Pretty cool setup/arrangement - really well thought out looping 👌
I think my favorite performance of his on youtube is streetlights on the bonnaroo channel. Love the tone of that tiny G-sharp guitar.
juuuust watched it - amazing looping and track! Thanks for sharing!
One of my all time favorite performances of his!
In another video he uses a octaver on his voice. I could have been the oc3..but anyway very cool!
ooh nice! I did look at the connections in this one and it seems to be in the same guitar chain - but I wondered about that!
Me asking in my head: HOW DID YOU MAKE IT HERE WITH LOOPS WITHOUT KNOWING BERNHOFT? ahahahahahahahah
