Catherine this was one of my favorites on so many levels! I really liked the music you chose! For me it really set the mood of peace and serenity! The lighting in the beginning really made me envious and longing to be there! This country is so beautiful! Be safe and thank you for letting me travel with you! Scott
Question. Why wouldn't the natural sounds of the wilderness set the peaceful mood and covey serenity? New age music does it better? It's just a question. Don't get upset or think I'm being rude. I only ask because I don't get it.
@@punktexas I agree. I love Catherine's beautifully edited videos, but piano music is a distraction. Would much rather hear the birds, the winds, the waterfalls.
Wow! Another great one and just in time. Even the title made us smile as it was 110 degrees when we watched it. You really have a knack for the right video content and matching it with great music. Keep up the great work and stay safe!
Cat, I Love your videos!!! I was planning on getting there this year, but can't make it this year. When I do get there, I think it will be my 14th time there. I just can't get enough of this place.
And don’t forget a one-day side trip on the East side across the border into Waterton Lake NP, the Canadiens really manicure their parks, stunningly beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful, I found you through Nicole Hikesalot 😍 so glad to find your chnnel! Oh i cant wait to visit Glacier one day! How Absolutely beautiful!
Loved this! I follow a lot of travellers and overlanders and your cinematography is far better! Viewing through your eyes is simply amazing! Others can't capture landscapes like you can. Thank you!
Always thought Glacier as my favorite park/was lucky to be awarded a contract to furnish materials when they rehabbed the bridges on Going to the Sun highway - that was a fantastic summer - even if we messed up traffic for thousands of visitors. Again, beautiful mixing of scenery and music in ur video / can’t wait for the next one / stay safe, stay healthy.
Thanks, Cat. Stunning footage, am so glad you are filming in 4K - makes a difference. Good luck with your brakes, let us all know if we can help! Best.
Catherine, that was a beautiful video. My wife, Carol, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We visited Glacier in 2018 but the wildfires had most of it shutdown and the smoke was so thick. We really want to return soon. Thanks for the inspiration! We pray you have safe travels, a wonderful week ahead, and may God bless.
Wow your photography and videography is amazing. I live in the flathead and go to glacier often, and have never been able to capture it like you have. You have given me great encouragement. Thanks.
Hello Catherine, a big thank you for the tagalong. This was a beautiful trip. You always do an incredible job of filming and narrating. Some four decades ago, four of my bicycling friends and I drove Jasper, Canada. Then we would alternate bicycling and driving to Crater Lake, Oregon. The most scenic part of our trip was the 'Going to the Sun Road'. Please take good care of yourself and stay healthy. 🤗
Being a Montana native, spent considerable amount of time in Glacier NP and Yellowstone NP in my younger years. Thanks for reinforcing the memories with the spectacular scenery of an iconic National Park. Be Safe, From Alaska!
I am back from six days in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, man I seriously needed that! First trip of the year for me. Thanks Cat, this was a great way to start my Sunday.
Hi cat drove this 15 years ago beautiful. If you ever come east drive the blue ridge parkway from about grandfather mountain all the to great smoky mountains NP. You won't be disappointed.
Your log gives mental satisfaction. When the waterfalls fall... The sun sinks... when the moon shines, a fascinating refreshment gets me...lovely v log 👑 From Pakistan 🌟
We've hiked in Glacier almost every year for the last 20 years. Our trip last year was epic! It was sad not going this year. Thanks for the video! Glad you made it to Avalanche Lake....a really beautiful spot. You should do the Crypt Lake hike in Waterton.... it is Cracker Lake/ Avalanche Lake on steroids.😉. Have fun!! ....and always carry bear spray.....especially in Glacier. BTW: it works on other animals too....even 2 legged ones.👍
Amazing scenery! I've not made it to Glacier yet, I was going to this summer but the pandemic changed our plans. New subscriber, just watched Nicole Hikesalot's video where you joined them in the Cascades. You have amazing content!
Brought back some wonderful memories from my 4 day visit to Glacier last July. Stayed in both East & West Glacier. My first time there and really hope it won't be my last visit. Great quality video.
Go back when you can to the East side, it’s the best side. Many Glacier is so stunning, Lake Sherburne, Swiftcurrent Lake, Lake Josephine, then up to Salamander and Grinell Glaciers. It’s the most Grizzly-rich part of the Park.
You’re really testing my vocabulary so I’ll simply say stunningly gorgeous! Last time on Going to the Sun Road was in 1968 when I was 15. On my list for next summer. Thanks for the memories and the preview.
I can’t thank you enough for sharing your adventures! I so wish I could get out and experience the places that you have been for myself but I’m getting up in age and experienced three major surgeries back in 2016 and am not supposed to climb mountains and such anymore, doctors orders. When I watch your videos along with the beautiful music that you have with them it just makes my eyes well up. I can almost imagine myself there. I live out East, NY to be precise and I love the northwest so much having been there for a few days back in the 90’s. There’s no other place like it. Please, please stay safe out there on the trail and I’ll keep sharing my dreams through your eyes although I’d much rather be there. I haven’t given up yet and may still get there! You are admired!
The Going To The Sun Road symphonic portion of this national park visit allowed us to be enthralled right through Cat’s clean windshield. It’s simply Majestic to be your TH-cam friend.
Loved watching this! We were there in June this year but the road wasn’t open beyond Lake McDonald lodge. We did however get to ride our bikes up the Going to the Sun road without any traffic to worry about, while riding back at dusk we were blessed to have a HUGE black bear pop up five feet away from me! Just a gorgeous place. Loved the Avalanche lake hike when we were there ❤️
Hey Catherine, I was up there in July and loved it. Stayed by Lake McDonald. Did a few different hikes, including a massive 28 miler starting at Packer's Roost, up to Flattop Mountain, over to the Skyline, back to Granite Chalet, and down to the Loop. Absolutely incredible scenery. There's nothing like it anywhere else in the States.
I just spent a week in Glacier and I am already planning to go back. I felt so close to heaven when I was there. The waterfalls, wildflowers and panoramic views are so incredible. This was a great video Catherine. Your cinematography really made me feel like I was there again.
The music you selected to accompany this video was exceptional and a great choice on your part it really captured the grandeur of Glacier, thank you Catherine.
30 years ago during a very brief motorcycle phase, I put Going to the Sun Road on my bucket list. Now I love pedaling, and found out this year that for a brief window each year the road is open to just unmotorized traffic.......HEAVEN :)
Amazing, remarkable, exceptional, incredible, delightful, awesome and MAGNIFICENT!!! Thank you Ms. Cat, another beautiful and wonderful video. Keep living the good life, be safe out there. Cheers!.
Beautiful video! Your shots along The Going to the Sun Highway brought back a lot of memories. I’ve done a lot of bicycle touring and I have had the great fortune to ride that road from both directions on two separate tours. It’s an incredible ride and to see, hear, and feel the Going to the Sun from the saddle of a bicycle, you just can’t describe it. You feel small and in awe of the beauty of nature. Your photography was beautiful. Thanks!
One can tell you're a pro photographer. Beautiful shots. And the music you choose is perfect . . . even meditative. Thanks. The old cliche is, " you don't have to be faster than the Grizzly, just faster than your friend."

Hi Catherine, I always "kind-of" had an idea why they called that road (that) but it wasn't until your most beautiful video, taken from the start of day, that clearly shows why. Also, the (Trail of the Cedars) was well named wasn't it; and by the looks of the cliffs around (Avalanche Lake) I can surly understand why they call it that also. Agreed. I normally don't notice the sounds and focus on the visuals, but I loved the music too
