- For the halloween special im releasing a mapping video based on an alternate scenario of the famous hit game in Roblox, Guts and Blackpowder, but in WW2.
The Blight, zombie virus in the game, doesn't spread in 1812 but in 1941 during operation Barbarossa in Ukraine.
Thanks to advanced warfare compared to the period of the Napoleonic Wars, the nations of WWII succeed in defeating the virus.

Things I liked:
- Mapping quality is very good
- The fact that zombies were pushed back way easier than when Napoleonic weapons were being used
- Actually showing that Finland wasn‘t part of the Axis and was just fighting along side them
- Countries that are usually neutral would join the war on Blight if they saw a threat
- The Soviets and Germans would‘ve agreed to a peace treaty if such a situation was at hand
- Mussolini was already on thin ice so he would‘ve been overthrown eventually, which is a thing that mappers often ignore, good job
Inaccuracies I Found
- Vichy France was not part of WW2, they had a Peace treaty, only on 1942 did Vichy get annexed by Germany and was in the war.
Personal Critique
- I don‘t believe that the allies would have agreed to a peace deal after the blight began, instead wanting to use it as an opportunity to weaken Germany
- I don‘t think the blight would‘ve pushed back that hard against the coalition, although I would definitely agree that if that was the case, then the video would be a lot more boring
- In Guts and Blackpowder, the source of the cannibals is seemingly of a religious background, I don‘t believe that a cure could‘ve been created for this version of a zombie
- I don‘t see the point in calling it a Guts and Blackpowder scenario since it was just a WW2 zombie scenario
- I don‘t see a world where Germany would declare war on such an overwhelming amount of enemies by the end when they could‘ve waited until the coalition disbanded or just stick to the land concessions that were given after WW2.
Summary
A lot of good things to say about this video, the mapping quality was good and a lot of historical accuracies that are often overlooked can be found in the video, aside from a few personal opinions that is just my opinion and you don‘t have to listen to them. I believe that this video is a certified banger that I had fun watching, good job.
This video has gotten popular that now people are even making their own reviews, i am quite proud of myself
@@Tortilla_Mapping I have a few things to say, the "blight" is actually demons from hell after no more space were left to keep the sinners in. This meant the whole world (besides christians were doomed, since zombies avoid priests. This means the world is doomed to the blight). Also, it's good to mention that everytime a person dies, they join the blight if their fate was to go to hell. Had to point it out.
Still a good video though
Its also one of the many reasons why the blight zombies crawl out from the ground if you look at their spawn point.

This would make so much sense for the blight to get crushed due to the fact they have better weapons and tech
Also doesn't, the Blight in GNB seems to have a religious context (like someone said) so a cure probably wouldn't be found. Said Zombies from GNB are demons and every other people (besides Christians) are doomed. Heard that when a sinner dies, they'll join the Blight (if their fate is being sent to hell then they would). Considering that German and Soviet atheism was at peak, Christianity being heavily opposed in the two Countries, the Blight would only grow more in quantity. It is also canon that the whole world in GNB would fall to the Blight.
In summarization; Hell is full and every sinner becomes man-eating monsters that feasts on the living. Thanks to the USSR and Nazi Germany, the Blight (almost) have an infinite supply of zombs that'll eventually overrun Humanity.
Oh by the way, since in GNB there are bombers who carries gunpowder barrels, would this timeline have them using Anti Tank Grenades that they'd trigger when near a Human? Matter of fact, if some of them are intelligent enough to use Lamps as weapons, would that mean they could throw explosive weapons as well?
This makes sense, in WW2, they had MUCH better technology than in the Napoleonic Era, and making a cure also makes sense.

In this scenario, I think mustache man wouldn’t declare war or on the allies again the zombies being big enough of a threat. I think Germany could keep its colonies in the scenario. Great video, but I just think Germany would not attack the allies.

Germany wouldn't even attack,as the Germans were actually smart in terms of Technology and Military. (And he doesn't shoot his Generals for a failure.)

People underestimate how deadly wepons were, the reason BLIGHT was able to stay alive was because the concept of guns was fairly new and muskets being single fire was not as effective as a mg or even a bolt-action rifle.If the blight happened in ww2 it would probably grow till the size of ukraine and would slowly but surely get killed off once the allies and axis start taking it seriously. Also not to mention the USA was doing the Manhattan Project making it so that they had nukes, in conclusion the blight wont survive as long as in the video or will get as big and would get killed off or as i said get cured off (if there is a cure). Btw this comment was not made to spread hate or anything of the sort and I am really impressed by the video and just telling this bc i wanted too

@Willing_Herold no, we do know it's a disease with religious esc attachment, as non Christians are way more susceptible (priests can not turn) which would make it harder to produce a cure if one was even possible, and in certain areas that have hordes of infected it would be a nightmare to clear out if a cure isn't possible, if McArthur was going to use a ton of nukes to end the Korean War, it's Likely he would do in this case. Especially if clearing them out with manpower proves to costly.
The blight most likely doesn't have a cure due to the fact that it's based on religion(it technically can be cured but there is a point of no return where nothing can be done). Anyways, a couple of tanks and the blight is effectively stopped. What are the cannibals gonna do against a tank? Bite it?

I like how since new weapons were being used unlike in the 1800s the zombies barely stood much of a chance, allowing the USSR found a cure (My guess is that due to German scientists being so smart they would have gotten the cure first)

I think the blight would have stood no chance considering we had machine guns tanks artillery etc.
Its an infection so it also spreads, and it spreads quickly
@@Tortilla_Mapping if the military finds out they would deploy troops, will wipe them out due to them using having way stronger guns than muskets because the zombie can die from like one musket shot so imagine that but the military using fully automatic guns, higher caliber rounds and flamethrowers also bombers, igniters and zappers wouldn’t exist

i like to think the events of G&B is the just the prequel to ULTRAKILL but 300 years early because: HELL IS FULL, the world was at war, MANKIND IS DEAD and Christianity and Hell are Very important to the lore.

hell is full in both verses, which makes sense for the Blight to then exist, because it souls that are destined for hell to go back into their bodies, which could also be why Humanity later discovers hell, (streetcleaners ect) though my only problem with it was in the final war, which ended with earthmovers n shit was against other nations and instead of the blight? Though I guess that would make sense if,

if people in 1812 had chances against the zombies and actually made good resistance (which they did), the zombies wont last long. max of 5 years because of war-exhaustion is the time i'd say would take for the world to win

If this is a True GnB but its WW2 scenario then The Countries of Europe should only know about the infection until after it gets to Germany and not before that.

In GnB lore, the countries of Europe are only notified of the Blight AFTER the Battle of Leipzig and not after it's initial spread like how it's portrayed in this video.
It wouldn't be a real Guts and Blackpowder scenario if they already got notified before the zombies have reached Germany because that would just be WW2 but there's a Zombie Apocalypse.
Ww2 is more than 100 years later than the napoleonic wars and so better technology, they should already know by when it started spreading in ukraine

And given that the Blight had consistently taken over Eastern Europe for the majority of the war I’m guessing that the population and ethnicities of the Baltic states, Hungary and Poland are completely gone? As a result those nations probably wouldn’t show up on a post War map.
Half of Ukraine would be depopulated as well, but I don’t know what that would do to the country borders

@@Tortilla_Mapping there's also the fact that Poland, the baltics and the "free" part of Ukraine were all under German control . Hungary was a willing ally, so that doesn't count.
If I had to guess, the baltics are going to be united into one SSR under the USSR because there wouldn't be enough Baltic people left for the nations to be separate. As for Ukraine, I'm pretty sure it's capital would be changed to be in the Soviet half of the country even once the nation is reunified. Poland is the only one I'm still surprised has a chance of existing post war. If I had to guess it would be completely annexed by someone, I'm just not sure who.
When Germany turned on everyone else, most of Hungary were still occupied by the blight, so I'm guessing that although it was probably reduced in size it was because of the blight rather than anything to do with the war.
By the way I like the detail you included of Istanbul managing to hold out even when the rest of European Turkey fell. It's a good call back to how defensible the city is
