- Sup yall! After watching and reacting to Timelab Pro's 'Winter Saint Petersburg Russia 6K', I was also requested to check out their video of 'Москва Россия Аэросъемка Aerial Drone 5K'. Needless to say that the video was beautifully shot, the city of Moscow looks like a true gem!
It is a very nice mix between historic and modern buildings, the latter giving the aesthetics of the city an overall very futuristic look. Moscow has a lot of cool architecture, pretty scenery and exquisite streets to explore. I cannot wait to both visit Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, when I get the chance to sometime in the near future!
So far, I like Saint-Petersburg for its quaintness, coziness and more welcoming vibes, but I admire Moscow for its really cool buildings. It is hard to tell from a video which city I will like more, however I can confirm that both cities will be a trip of a lifetime! :D

The Kremlin is a type of fortress that is characteristic of the Russian nation. It would be wrong to call the Kremlin a castle, since these two concepts have different purposes. Both are fortresses, but if the castle was the home of the feudal Lord and his family, then the Kremlin is more of a symbiosis of the citadel and the city. In fact, the Kremlin at that time was a fortified city, or rather its most important core. The feudal system of Ancient Russia was somewhat different from the Western European one, the main difference was precisely in the mobility of Russian feudal lords, they were not tied to a specific plot of land and could change the territory under their control several times to another. For this reason, the Russian feudal lords did not have personal castles, they did not protect their personal possessions, but a strategically important region for them.

Феодальная система Древней Руси несколько отличалась от западноевропейской, главное различие было как раз в мобильности русских феодалов, они не были привязаны к конкретному участку земли и за свою жизнь могли несколько раз сменить подконтрольную им территорию на другую. По этой причине у русских феодалов не было личных замков, они защищали не личные владения, а стратегически важный для них регион.
В настоящий момент в России сохранилось 12 кремлей, но конечно самый известный из них - московский. Во времена древней Руси кремлей было намного больше, их количество измерялось сотнями.

And even VDNH was not shown in the videos, many great places were not shown, Gorky Park (especially in winter), Arbat (old and new), cosmonauts alley, Vorobyovy Gory. You can still list a lot of places that were not shown.

I am Russian. From Urals. Come to Russia/ Moscow at summer. Lots of places to visit, crazy nightlife, crazy nature, lots of young people activity. Friendly people. And its safe. And if you are ready to go to spiritually high place, go to Altai. There is no such place on earth.

The thing you keep looking on Instagram photos is St. Basil Cathedral, and it looks like that 'cause overall the church style for russian (read as 'Orthodox' - as they are, well, Orthodox xD) churches firstly originated from Byzantium's style with its half spherical domes, but then transformed into onion-shaped(in my mind it's actually cake-shaped) domes due to EITHER the candlelight-symbolism (like the light into darkness for people to reach for) OR the simply easier-for-snow-removal shape(answer highly depends on whom you're asking - the priest or the architect xD) plus some russian huge love to everything highly ornate BOOM you've got what you've got! Ours churches are like cakes and are awesome :D

These red walls at the beginning and end of the video are the walls of the Moscow Kremlin, which is the largest preserved medieval fortress in Europe. Many old Russian cities have a local Kremlin, more often a Museum. There are several museums in the Moscow Kremlin, and there are many government buildings, including the President's office in the Kremlin.
Domes on Russian churches have different colors depending on who the Church is dedicated to. If the Church is dedicated to Christ, then the dome is gilded, if Mary - the dome is blue, with gold stars, if black - it is usually a monastery, green - the Holy Trinity , gray - the Saint.

It used to be a fortified complex in the past, hence the red walls that you saw later in the video. those ridges on top of the wall are battlements. those tall red buildings connected by the walls are towers with different purposes. the one you see here is called Спасская Башня (Spasskaya Tower), it has the famous clocks on the higher tiers called Кремлевские Куранты (Kremlin Kuranty).
it's good that I only have to go to Moscow for a day and a half, I can look at this beauty at any time (no, I'm too lazy and there's nothing to do there anyway without money)

Я родом из Сталинграда (ныне Волгограда), того самого города, который в самом начале остановил немецкие войска в нападении на Россию в 1942 и году. Там же были задействованы и Ростов, Воронеж, и Калмыкия, но основную роль сыграла Сталинградская битва. Буду очень признателен, если посмотришь это видео города-героя-памятника. If you'd ever visit Russia - better plan visit in the summer or at least winter. Going outside the home in Spring or Autumn is a big no-no in Russia, in that two seasons weather it too shitty in that part of the world, with cold wet wind & stuff.

A lot of English navigation in Moscow, but people know English not so well as they should I think. But they will be very happy to help you, especially young and european-looking (sorry for the cliché, but I knew one instance when central asian foregn workers manhandled and tried to drag japanese tourist in to their car, because they thought that she is one of their own).
Otherwise Moscow is the most safe and tourist-friendly city in Russia, I would not be concern even if you would nigh walking on the outskirts.

People in moscow do speak english, but they are very shy and speak not very well. But you won't be lost :)

Comparisons Moscow and SPB is not s big deal.
SPB has compact and very dense historical center...and that's it!
All that surrounds i is hellhole of decaying ex-USSR commieblocks and nonsensical modern condominiums.
Moscow on the other hand is really diverse and wide-spread in terms of places of interest for tourism.
SPB in two words: The city you you don't want to came back.
Moskow in two words: You could find anything you want.
There was that comparison about two cities, that Moscow is like a woman trying to look younger (>600y.o.) and St. Pete is like a boy trying to look older (300+y.o.) 😂 which I think is very straight to the point! 😂😂😂 Each has their unique charm to them though 🌞🌚
Oh come on, I know we Muscovites tend to say these things, but not to the foreigners, they know no context and they might really think St.Pete is not worth visiting, though we both know it is.
The proper comparison would be like Msk is NY and SpB is Paris. Both are awesome but in different ways

Никакой архитектуры, никакого единого ансамбля, нихрена, глупый и неуместный новодел, как китайский рынок, когда так хотелось казаться одной из исторических богатых мировых столиц. Тот момент, когда в очередной раз встречаешь богатея, демонстрирующий отсутствие вкуса, который, конечно же, не купишь
