If you prefer taking 3 hours to travel 110 miles in NSW move there. To be honest long distance passenger by rail in Australia will totally disappear within 5 years. Electric cars and Buses will cease the need for interurban rail. Rail will be left with Freight. The rest is totally finished
It wonders me that in Australia the railroads for freight trains are almost not electrified. For what reason is that? I always thought Australia is a civilised country?😊😊

Why uncivilised? Australia is a vast country, and it would be impractical to electrify the many thousands of kilometres that span the country.
