Where there is one copperhead there is another one!
Kyle, seriously, youneed a net and a carrier. One trip and done. Love you guys. Happy to see you Shannon.
I’m terrified of snakes 😬
So glad you are ok after your encounter with the copperhead.
Get a net for catching the guineas - can then put them in a dog crate to move them back. Kinda like the Walkers do on Walker Farm Fam.
God bless.
You need one of those “Help I fell and can’t get up!” buttons! Ha ha, sorry I couldn’t resist…🤣😂🤭🥰
Shannon, please, I think that wasp needs a bit more spray!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂😁
Enjoyed your video and seeing the animals and I’m sure glad that snake didn’t bite Bruno or you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love you all! Be careful!
Good evening! To make catching the chick's, maybe a butterfly net? Then I'd put them in a soft sided dog crate, just for transport. With a fishing net they might get their little head through the holes and freak them out. Just an idea....
Love watching you guys and the whole family!
You need to wear a "toolbelt", carry wasp spray and your freedom stick and treats for Bruno and Hercules for when they alert. ❤❤❤❤❤
Get a couple of pigs they will help. Prayers for you all
That sucker blended into the leaves so its undersandable. gotta put the baby G's in the new bird run
I hope you washed that wasp spray out. All birds are sensitive to chemicals.
I moved my lil chickie baby's in a plastic tote or a box. Thank goodness there outside full time now.
Oh that snake looked just like the leaves!!! Yikes!! The baby guineas look happy to be out now. They are so pretty. Your hair is cute Shanon. ❇️💞❇️
I'm sad that we won't be seeing as much of Shannon, she is awesome.
The bird's are really getting big. Love you guys, praying 🙏 ❤😊
You should get a cat carrier to transport the bird birds.
I was going to say the same thing.
And a nice wagon to pull it in. Years ago when I was showing my dog I had a crate with wheels and a handle the lowered down to pull it. That thing was worth every penny. Things weren’t as crazy expensive back then, though. Even had a little compartment to stow a leash. A lot to be said for having proper equipment.
❤️ those bird birds
Hello and they are very big birds now wow and thank the lord you and the puppy are okay as you are needed on your place as well as helping your dad out very soon it was great to see you guys again be safe and thanks for sharing 😊😊😊
Copperheads can go into trees too! Please be careful. Love you all and God bless you all❤❤
I am so glad that you and Bruno were not bitten by that copperhead. That snake blended into the leaves so well that I didn't see it at first. The guineas are so cute. Prayers for all your bird birds remain safe. Love and prayers to you both. ❤
Kyle I’m so happy you and Bruno are safe. Too bad the babies wouldn’t go into the enclosed part of the pen then they would be safe if you closed the door. ❤
FYI: Snakes are in trees also, not just on the ground.
Now I am worried about you Kyle finding more copperheads while you are alone! You need some kind of emergency call button. I hope you get one soon!! So cute to see the bird birds getting moved to the outside now! Keeping all Doss families in my prayers🙏🙏🙏🙏🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
I’m sorry but I could not look at that snake-they terrorize me! Frightening, a little close to your camper. Good to see your lovely wife . As usual a great video. Prayers for your Dad and all your family.
That’s called PTSD. Welcome to my world!
So glad you Kyle and Bruno are okay.
Howdy howdy Kyle and Shanon
I'm an old woman- really old. And my favorite hen decided to set. With coyotes, fox and an abundance of bobcat, I put her in an elevated pen , so she was safe. One night about 8 pm my redbone started going nuts. I went out to check and walked by the hen , didn't see anything. When back inside. Redbone started going off the wall. I got my big floodlight and went back out, and I saw it. A huge copper head on top of the hen's pen. I had just walk by twice within foot of it. I got my k pow pow and took it's head off. no good lighting, shaking like a leaf from my near miss. But I took it's head off at about 80 foot. For me that was excellent shooting. After that I put piles of Epsom salt around the legs of her pen.
By the way, she hatched 16 chicks. I never had a copper head try and get eggs. Never.
Bless your heart, Frances!! I know you had to be shaken up! Thank God, for his protection.
Wow! Great story. Thanks for sharing.
Thank God you're safe
My cousin wasn't so lucky. A copperhead got him in the hand, stuck between his thumb & forefinger, he took the dead snake to the hospital with him. It took the hospital a week to get the phenom shipped in.
Goodness Kyle I would of have screamed so loudly if I was that close to a snake, hate them with passion. The babies are growing fast. Good seeing you Shanon, hope your job is going well. ❤😊 God bless stay safe until the next video 💓 😍
Close call with the snake. Glad you and Bruno are ok. What a good boy he was, so smart and grown up. Also Hercules for leaving the birds.
Those baby Guineas are adorable. If you use two hands together you can catch them easier and also keep them from flapping their wings at you. If you got a few chickens and a coop you might be able to train some of the Guinea that it’s a good idea to go inside at night, away from predators and make it easier to collect their eggs. Maybe even let them hatch the eggs themselves and raise their babies in a safe place. It was super cute how the adults went by the babies to investigate.
Kyle, I am thrilled at "safety first" . Please don't take any chances. You catching Guinnees had me chuckling as much as your dad running after the dogs checking out the chickens! Your family is terrific!
Good to see Shannon 🎉
❤❤❤❤❤❤
My son removed two snakes from under our back steps two weeks ago. Our pit told us they were there.
Wow that snake blended with ground. 😳 Scary.
A large plastic tote with a top made of screen inside a wooden frame the size of the tote. Slide it open to quickly drop in a chick and keep them contained. When you have them all, walk to the outside coop with the tote, open it up inside the coop and let them get out. At night you can catch them inside the outdoor coop and bring them back home. Much easier and safer way to transport the chicks.
Hi. Great video....Your right the birds are getting so big. Can’t wait when they can join the bigger ones.
So cute 😊 Bird Birds 🐦
Maybe a poultry transport crate would make it easier to move the keets. You could move them all at once.
Herc is an amazing dog. I’m also glad God was watching over you all. Stay safe 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Good Bruno! My Dad had a cat that alerted on Scorpions. Fun to see how big the guineas are now.
The baby guineas sure have grown! I am glad you mentioned something I wanted to address in your last video....since you will be "home alone" a lot now, you're being careful about taking on certain jobs without someone else around is a very smart idea. Thanks for sharing, God bless.
So glad the Guinnes are able to come out to the coop! They are adorable! Shannon it's so nice to see your beautiful face again...Thanks for sharing! And as always praying foe the whole Doss Family and fur babies!
Wow Kyle that was close. That snake blends in way to good!! Scary 😮! So glad you’re doing okay!
Hey Kyle and Shannon , I think the guineas like it. Can’t wait to see the next video. So thankful y’all weren’t hurt.
Kyle, Divine Intervention. Thank the Lord for watching over Kyle and Bruno. ❤🙏🏻
Yes, amen. It truly was divine intervention. I always pray for all their protection from snakes. And the coloring of the skin just blends right in with the ground!! Thank you, Lord!!
AMEN
Mothballs you get used to the smell to where you won’t smell them, but they keep the snakes away
Mothballs are toxic to dogs and other animals.
Mothballs are toxic to dogs and other animals.
If you leave boots or shoes outside, check them good BEFORE you put them on. Snakes have been known to make a home, or at least a napping place, in them.
So do nasty spiders
I would not have the patience for that bird gathering. 😂😂😂
So glad the copperhead is no longer with you. Too close! Love watching your journey. God Bless
❤ You should get a pet carrier to move your birds.
Glad that snake did not strike. Glad you guys are ok, love you Guys
Thank God for watching over you. Be careful of snakes around young birds. Fast meal. Blessings 🙏🫶🙏🫶. Thanks for sharing.👍
My daughter's dog got bit by a copperhead once on the face. Of course it was towards evening and a weekend and everyone in Joplin area knows we don't have an emergency vet anymore locally. So they rushed her to Springfield. Face swelled up pretty good. They gave her an IV and basically a Benedryl. Plus an antibiotic. They sent her home with some Benedryl. Vet said dogs handle snake bites better than humans do. So...a few months later..she got bit again on the face!! They gave her a Benedryl and rushed her to the vet...pretty much same thing but less swelling because they knew to give Benedryl right away. They lived back in the woods. Both times my daughter was feet away and the dog protected her.
That would be so scary. I love the way you live your animals. Picking Bruno up...that was adorable. Glad you are ok.
My goodness Kyle I’m looking at the yard footage behind you and I remember one that was just dead ground back there leaves trees. Wow it’s looking fantastic. I never really noticed it too much till now. Jesus what a great job you’re doing.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow! How scary. So glad you are OK!
Wow keets are getting big
Anytime you have rats/mice, snakes will be attracted to them. I had that problem a couple of times. Get rid of the rodents (good luck) and the snakes will usually go elsewhere. Texas Deb
Might want to try mothballs for the snakes
What a scary event for both of you. That was so well camouflaged
Thank God the snake didn’t bite you or Bruno. Good luck carrying the Guineas back and forth. God bless you and Shannon and the entire Doss family.
Love for the Doss family and the feathers and fur ones also ❤🙏❣️💯
Use a tote to move the keets from place to place. Put them all in the tote and move them. It's so much easier.
Maybe a cardboard box, the darkness would help calm them down, that way you are only making one trip to the coop and back to the shed
@@A.T.C.Exactly 💯
Thank the LORD you saw the snake. But just seeing one would give me a heart attack 😮
Kyle I sorry I said a naughty word..... Copperhead stopped my heart... Even as you narrated I kept saying Oh No another Copperhead....
I am glad you do carry your freedom stick..... Yes my heart has always gone crazy when dealing with snakes in my lifetime. I pray I won't have to face now days.
Your Sponsors cameras sound awesome ... The bird birds are growing like weeds .... So cute....
Hi Kyle hi Shannon, the baby bird birds are so big. It was neat the way the adult guineas checked out the baby's. Kyle, loved that big handsome smile you gave to Shannon when you saw her ,now that's true love. Blessings. Love you two
Right by the nest you were just showing is thistles you need to cut them before they bloom and scatters the seeds. They send out thousands of seeds they also have stickers.
Copper heads, rattlesnakes are very scary. My husband was doing a repair of a walk out basement of a cabin in Missouri, Table Rock Lake. Our baby was sleeping, so I thought I go outside and help him clean the basement footing off. I grabbed a handful of dirt and what I thought was worms. (No Gloves) NO! Not worms but baby copper heads. I threw them and screamed and shimmied out of that hole so fast. I was so shook up. I knew a baby poiseness snake was worse than a grown poisonous snake. Never helped on the job again. Bad thing was we were way out from any hospital. I feel for you Kyle, the fear is real! 😬😳😱
Didn’t your dad find a copperhead under the puppy’s plastic pool last week?
@@sharrongrattan5940yes he did!

Thank goodness you nor Bruno were bit by that snake. That is some scary business. With the babies in that little coop, they can be shut in that top section and in the morning just open the little door and let them out. Loved seeing you Shannon. ❤️ and you
My husband is terrified of snakes. He had come home for lunch and walked in the front yard to check out some new plants and found a snake. He was so scared he froze and couldn't even think to get our "freedom stick". I called our neighbor who came home from work ( bless his heart) and sent the snake to Heaven. So I get how scared a person came be. But husband is not afraid of wasps!
That are so stinking cute. Bird birds🐼🦉🐥🐣
Oh my gosh, you two were so lucky. Thank goodness God was watching over the both of you. I dislike snakes big time, and ticks. I got stung by a big bubble bee, two weeks ago. Be Safe you all. ❤
Always use a shovel when moving warm metal outside. Always. The nope ropes love getting around and under warm metal. You need a couple mini donkeys. They will stomp the nope ropes into oblivion to protect Their animals.
I like the “nope rope” words for creepy crawlers poisonous or not.
Scary to see snakes
Kyle that was a very close call with the copperhead so glad you and Bruno are okay. As far as your guinea Keets if you put some hardware cloth on the bottom of that little run you should be able to let them out at night providing your sides and everything are secure
Put the coop close to their evening home so you don’t drive yourself crazy and lose a few. Get a small “carry case” to get the keets from night house to day house.
Love your hair Shannon. Looks really nice.
Wow Kyle that snake 🐍 was so close thank God he didn't get you or brunoBruno!.
Couldn’t imagine having to watch for snakes, thank God, we don’t have anything like them here in NZ!
We want Shannon back on the homestead. Share their channel, let's get them over 50k subs.
I think she is working to get health insurance. People can't afford to pay it on their own
Its called the "catch all "😂
The 9 youngums look happy in their new home.
Wow thats a nice cam!
Spruce is not weird, he is super unique 😂
I like him, too. I was wondering why Kyle is ascribing bad traits to him. I haven’t been watching that long and wondered if he had done some thing bad or aggressive before?
@tagladyify ...his dad was quite a character-got kinda mean behavior at the end attacking the cattle with his horns & loud vocal antics! His name was Bruce & he was something else. He finally had to go to auction! He belonged to Kyle's brother, Chad. Spruce was an abandoned (by mother) bottle baby & has an "entitled" attitude! 😄 But, guarantee you he is much loved by K&S & all the longtime viewers.❤ We love our Spruce! He was so so cute when he was little when we fell in love with him!
Spruce will always be my number 1 ❤❤❤
@elaineniman7077 thanks so much for clarifying that for me. I was feeling bad for Spruce 🤗
I think I remember Bruce now. He was from Chads first farm land with the pond.
You may need brother Chad’s snake proof boots
Hint I got from my doctor, which was a home Gardner that doesn't like snakes too. He went to get snake repellent, and the guy told him he could get moth balls were the same and a lot cheaper. Good luck.❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏😉🐾
Yes. Moth balls are the same active ingredient. My grandpa have used them for years. I work at big box hardware and several years ago went and double checked to be sure. No sense paying high price for fancy name mixed with other ingredients. I have used moth flakes mixed with a bit of sand and sprinkled around garden too.
❤ Please like and Share ❤
we want to continue to watch this Beautiful Family ❤
Always have your cell phone with you, at all times!
Good job Kyle moving the guineas. Hi Shannon! 😊 love you Guys too. 😊
Maybe this would be time to put the little chicken house inside the other bigger Coupe that the bigger birds were in that way they'd have two forms of security
Hello Kyle & Shanon, i was at work when y'all did the live. I missed some of it & what part i was there i commented when i could. Watching replay. Love watching the whole Doss family. God Bless everyone.
Hi Shannon and Kyle 🙏❤️❤️🙏 all of the animals 🐃🐃🐃🐐🐐🐐🐕🦺🦮🐧🐧🐧🐦🐦❤🧸🙏‼️
Thank God, the snake didn’t harm anyone! Great visit with you both & all the sweet critters. Blessings to everyone 🤗🇨🇦
Moth balls are the same as the Snake Away stuff they sale. Put moth balls in the box and under the box, under the camper. Wherever you think they could be put it out. Also make sure to check yalls boots before putting on every day. Glad everybody is ok and nobody got bit!
Glad neither you nor Bruno got bitten!!! Someone was looking out for you. What a good boy he is ❤ he's a real homestead boy now
You are quite welcome. Love you all.
You need to have a sign made for your shed that says Kyle's dog house😂
It’s amazing how they blend in.
So nice to see you Shanon and Kyle. Love your vlog and watching all my favorite animals. Have a wonderful weekend I'll see you on your next one.
Glad you guys are ok
Just a note to try..get jars with lids or any container with lids ..put moth ball into and poke holes in ..place under and around camper..works for snakes and mice because it messes with their senses which both use..it does deter the varmints...also bar or irish spring soap ..leave in box..poke holes and place where you have mice..again ..affects their sense of smell..it does make a difference!!
Again glad all is safe
I was getting ready to tell Kyle that. Thanks.
While some say these things work (moth balls, Irish Spring soap), they really don't deter anything, and moth balls are toxic. I have tried both. Watched a video recently by two snake experts and both said none of the suggested products will deter snakes.
Wanted to share this with a friend. Know those things work. Her cat found 3 mice in her basement bedroom and they deal with other things also
Know there is a snake repellent powder but am sure it is not safe for animals
@@jeanettelong-i6joh dear... 🙏
Kyle you have a problem in that tree by the portable keet cage. I believe Gary at Walker Farm Family cut the branches and burned them or got rid of them. Moths or something else.
