Today on TCG History we look at the trading card game adaption of the classic nostalgic browser game, Neopets! After throwing out classic monsters like Grundo or JubJub I discovered, holy cow! The Neopets tcg is really good! It makes sense given the Neopets card game was made by Wizards of the Coast in their prime but most licensed card games don't stand up nearly as well as this gem! It's a shame Neopets booster packs are so hard to find now! Still you can pick up collections of Neopets cards pretty easy and definitely should! Let me know your favorite memories with the Neopets card game!

I think the game could come back as a digital card game, especially with a direct tie in to the NP website.
I didn't spend much time playing Neopets back in the day. I was an Adventure Quest kid!
For the section at 4:36 you're even missing some card types! Importantly, lands. Less importantly battles and even less importantly tribal (now kindred).
Despite the kiddy appearance, Neopets TCG is pretty fun, and easy to learn. It's a good base to begin with (to get into various TCG)

4:31 I don't know if you know this, but this is a fake card; It was made by a user on Reddit as an example of fake Neopets cards they said they're making! It also lacks a copyright year or artist credit. Not a big deal, sorry for any bother.
7:59 Super late to saying this, & I feel bad doing so, but.... The Shadow Usul is not a "he", she's referred to with female pronouns, as indicated by the Shadow Usul's story in the Neopedia entry for her. Also likely not a generic Usul; Usuls generally couldn't be the colour called "Shadow" until several years after the card & character came out, & even those don't have the same eye colour. (Their neck fur is also more purple than The Shadow Usul's Pink.) Again, not too big a deal, so, sorry for any bother with that.
Back to this video now that Battledome is coming soon, but I feel it might be dead on arrival

I never actually played the game but i collected the creature cards. I think i was about 20 cards away from owning at least 1 copy of ecery creature card they ever made.

I still play to this day but collecting the TCG and old merch is what I love the most. Iam sniper / reseller in the site since the start of maraquan war :0
I never owned merch but recently found a Xweetok Plushie online so yeah thats mine. Overall i have fond memories of the website and I am glad its still around till this day :) I remember how the website felt like its own world.
the neopets site was where me and my sister grew up. It was a site our parents trusted, it was one of the safer spaces for kids (now as a adult i'm actually pissed af thats no longer the case for newer generations), and the site was fun. it had a lot of deep lore and things to find, places to explore, and characters to meet. the tcg actually brought all those aspects together and made it feel like you, yourself, were in neopia having a adventures. i know that sounds silly, but its how i felt. my love for neopets ended after my account for frozen due to a possible hack, and while playing on a alt the new neopets team after jumpstart bought out the company lost my ticket. I just couldn't play anymore knowing my original pets, items, and all the experiences i've had were gone (and they really were. it took 5 years for me to unlock all the secrets and stuff).

Couple days ago I got for free now completely absolutely free 4 base set booster packs unopened mint condition and a base set booster box unopened also mint condition....all free the packs that I saw go for about 18 to 35 a piece in the booster box I saw go from 780 to 1500 online. Now remember I got this all free someone was giving it away I'm so excited cuz I know even though it's not a big big thing any more cards usually go up in value not down
