I have been binge watching this build, absolutely magnificent! Been doing quite a few years of plastic modeling now, mainly armour and ww2 airplanes, but the challenge has gone. Still like it, but a bit less these days. Becoming to easy, sounds weird but I just make model after model, and place them in my display cabinet and that’s it, next. After watching you building the Santisima, I just might have to try a wooden modelship. Not this one, obviously, because that is one complex design requiring years of experience. But something simple with one mast. Already have a lot of tools, so the investment will not be that big. Thank you for posting all these steps, currently watching you building your latest model. A joy to watch!

Congratulation, nice job. Only one point (you used too much glossy paint on wood and cannons and metals parts,..... you had to customize it in an antique effect).
Thank you very much! I like gloss for specific reasons and i also like the models to be brand new, like they came out of the factory, clean and shiny :)
Hi Peter, just common water based wood filer is 4 different colors according the wood color. It's a Greek product so there is no point of telling you the brand.
wow tons of work and really good looking, I belive there is a ton of work behind this beauty! Not sure about the shiny gloss, maybe something like semi gloss would be better? Also try to use water based glue mix with water and aply that for all ropes, they will look much smother and so fluffy ;-)
Yes there was enormous time and work for this model. I prefer gloss, that's why i made it gloss. The ropes with glue on will take shape that you probably don't want to.
Spanish ships are my favorite, you can tell :) This was the ship with the larger amount of cannons ever build!!! 140 cannons and like you said think about see that coming at you and 70 cannons are ready to fire!!! It was the aircraft carrier of it's time.
Cordialmente.
I have built " casa blanca " out of thick cardboard big sail ship, about 24"long, 8"wide and21"height, it was there with me for about 8 years, now I have built a passenger ship of card board exactly like konkanshakti used for Mumbai Goa ferry, that too about 18" long, 6"wide and 10" high. I am interested in ship modelling, but here we dont get readymade cut sizes ply board. I get more fun in making ships according to my idea and measurement. Thanks for the ship model post in which I am more interested.

@@VMRuiz-uq9qp Thank you very much!
Hello John! Could you tell me what wood filler are you using for the first planking? I am trying to complete a model from Corel .
Hi Peter, just common water based wood filer is 4 different colors according the wood color. It's a Greek product so there is no point of telling you the brand.
GREAT MUSIC.
Thank you very much Bill, i was searching for the music tracks about 2 months.
wow tons of work and really good looking, I belive there is a ton of work behind this beauty!
@@JohnsWoodenShips alright, I totally understand... and those ropes, I used this technique before on my models and looks pretty good ;)
Spanish ships are my favorite, you can tell :) This was the ship with the larger amount of cannons ever build!!!
I am glad that i was able to help :)
