In this video, you'll see diverse animals that lived in aquatic environments during the Cenozoic ( 65 million years ago until today). At this time, the Earth was recovering from the K-P mass extinction, and mammals started to evolve and occupy the place that giant marine reptiles dominated during the Mesozoic. Despite the series name, this video also includes some freshwater animals.

Magnificent video Mario! would love to see new updated models of Shaochilong, Australovenator and Yangchuanosaurus in your Allosauroidea video.
@Cody'sLab Reuploaded Allosauroidea was another option to vote for this month, but people preferred this one better. I will include it again in the poll, so let's see what they decide :D
Out of all the aquatic animals in this video, which one would you like to be
This guy has a lot of balls to just casually wade in the water like that.
@FURRY EXTERMINATOR That’s why he sunk to the sea floor.
Nigel Marven : "Hold my beer!" 😄
He's a legend
@GRIFFixx Jeremy Wades : Hold my bate 😎
We should all give some credit to Champsosaurus for surviving the K-Pg mass extinction
Indeed,
The *Champ*-sosaurus
Yessir indeedoo
Lystrosaurus: hold my burrow.
I love how Megalodon doesn't just look like an oversized Great White Shark
Me too
sometime I love megalodon sometime i hate megalodon i dont know why.
Well I think you better change the mosasaurs because you have that problem Actually I don’t know the megalodon if you want
@@Carsyen362 good point

Dang, I love transitional whales! Such funky creatures!
The new megalodon looks majestic, just like king of the sharks! ❤️
looks pretty derpy tbh
@@neo-filthyfrank1347 derpy your face 😂
@@leonardogrande6144 Nah it's mouth is way too small, it is what it is.
@@neo-filthyfrank1347 nah. meg fanboy detected
@@leonardogrande6144 That doesn't even make sense. Pointing out an artistic depiction is ugly and inaccurate does not equate to being a fanboy. Sounds like you didn't really think too hard about your position or what you said.
First!!! Also remake the primitive synapsida episode!!! I really love your paleoart!!!
Can we just appreciate how long this guy could hold his breath?!
he has an oxygen mask
@@KARTIKEYA007 it's a snorkel
@@AlStone2 the man is underwater with the thing so he cant use it to breath
@@rexyjp1237 you obviously don’t know how a snorkel works.
Love this! Thanks for your effort and time making this. Brings these amazing animals to life :)
Beautiful and educational material again😃🙏 I could watch this non-stop 💜
Dude you are amazing , your art is so cool you deserve a great break
Thank you!!
Excellent! Thanks so much for the content!
Great compilation of all the great aquatic creature from the Cenozoic, also love each of their designs.
Also hope your day is going great.
Amo tus vídeos e ilustraciones! Sugerencias: records de pterosaurios más grandes.
Saludos Mario.
Here are my ideas: Aquatic creatures of the Paleozoic, flighted creatures of the Paleozoic, and last but not least, animals of the Paleozoic

@@frostbitetheannunakiiceind6574 hi!
I ❤ the cenozoic era.
I couldn't chose!
Also me
Yeah it's underrated alongside the Paleozoic era
The past is truly terrifying i mean a oversized piranha, oversized penguin, oversized shark, oversized turtle and a oversized dolphin
Great job Mario!!💪💪
Superb Video! Will you also make a video about the Paleozoic Era Ocean animals??
Yes it's finally here
Bro, this Man know's everything about nature.
He is omniscient except just for nature
3:10 esa referencia a Evangelion con rei dando vueltas boca abajo
lo que mas me gusto de tus modelos fueron las texturas y la creatividad en los colores.
Intresting comparison as always
Finally a Channel that shows an accurate Megalodon
Amazing!! 😍
Props to the cameraman for going to different time periods to catch these shots.
This is so professionell
Very fascinating that all of these animals look like they'd be living today
Nice evengelion reference on the end haha!
That was a nice video
thank you!!
Imagine riding some of these *if* they were still around. The icadyptes, odonenocetus, paleoparadoxia, allodesmus, dorudon, and the megalampris would be my choices.
Until now I've never heard of Megalampris. Furthermore, great art!
*edit : at 1:26 it's OdobenocetOPS
Finally someone didn't draw Megalodon as a big great white
1:56 Make a video on Prehistoric Turtles/Tortoises ❤️👍
I like paleo art
Amazing!😁
I'd love a video on Cenozoic fish. Great job, btw.
Buen trabajo¡¡
2:27 looks like a humpback to me, I like it!!! Keep up the good work!!!
That's the best rodhocetus I've seen so far
Great Video @Mario Lanzas!
Thats cool❤!¿what are the close relatives of ambulocetus and paleoparadoxia?
Was expecting ankyloriza, but this is still fantastic paleoart :)
Well done!!!!
Beautifull video, plus,,thanks for the Evangelion reference at 3:11 !
Awesome!.
Need a new video with the Perucetus
2:26 my favorite
Very nice
Let's talk about how long this man can last underwater without breathing.
He could give Michael Phelps a run for his money.
Nice video, gonna check out your other works
Cetaceans dominate the sea of all Cenozoic era.
Yes because at that time dinosaurs extinct and left mammals and evolve to marine mammal
@@b4y.12 marine reptiles aren't dinosaurs
I like your video very much please make next video ornithomimosauridae and tell me you are also dinosaur lover
Next is Size comparison Crocodilia from Miocene epoch.
Thanks for the video.
1:23 Odobenocetops is now called Odobenocetus? Have I been living under a rock or something? Nice video by the way.
In the pinned comment he says he typed it wrong

@@gerrardjones28 it's a pterosaur called sordes pilosus.

Early whales look concerningly similar to seals. Makes me wonder what seals will be in the future
extinct
Nice video Mario! But you could've also added the Megapiranha
Cenozoic Survival aquatic update be like:
That megalodon is looking C H O N K Y
wasnt expecting 1:55 to be named with the word stupid in it
0:34 is a sea cow ancestor
Basilosaurus not a dinosaur is a whale but its name is king lizard but there a good reason for that when the fossil first discovered reshearchers thought is was about a giant reptile but later they realize is a whale
besides that, some of the fish that are still alive in modern times now have prehistoric species in the Cenozoic era. Including:
1). Arwana
2). Catfish
3). Surgeonfish (tang fish)
4). Triggerfish
5). Piranha
6). Pufferfish
7). Lizard fish
8). Mackerel
9). Eel
10). Salmon
I didnt knew the cenozoic have such weird marine life.
Finally a livyatan that doesn't look like Moby dick.
Very good
Muy bueno
i love how champsosaurus the a small crodidile😊😊😊
perucetus: IM THE BIGGEST BIRD

All cenozoics are under the water, plus we celebrate Happy Cenozoic Sunbathing Day!
Interesting
Surely that should be Guybrush Threepwood in the bottom of the sea for size comparison? Everyone knows he can hold his breath for 10 minutes!
0:27 hey look a ancient swordfish
It's weird how champsosaurus managed to survive from the cretaceous up to the paleogene epoch
Modern day (AKA Holocene) is technically also a part of the Cenozoinc age so you should have included the blue whale.
How did Champsosaurus live in 2 places so far apart? I'm assuming it was freshwater which makes it even more unusual
there could have been some land bridges from Alaska to Russia.. or Greenland at some point... who knows...
@@MarioLanzas. good point 🤔
What animals did Ambulocetus live with ???
Good video. But i miss some whales betwen the giant ray fined fish and the levyatan.
nice
Make anphibians pls 🐸
almost choked when I saw how big they were X-X
Welcome to ANTEDILUVIAN WORLD
I missed steller's sea cow
Haz un vídeo de la familia allosauroide .
You need to do eoraptor and every other dinosaur from the jurassic world dinosaur field guide please
Balistes was prehistoric and non-avian and Polymerichthys was an eel with a strait backbone,Long tail and Curved Spine
Also,Digits of modern fresh Camel Bones suggest that Allodesmus wasn't the biggest member of the Mesezoic Sealife
Basilosaurus is not that big
Dude levyatan is bigger than megalodon
I guess that O/C Megalodon refers to Otodus/Carcharodon megalodon? I thought it was now commonly accepted to be Otodus?
I like to keep it this way as a sign of how ambiguous this animal still is. It could also change again anytime even if as for now most experts consider it to be Otodus
2:38 Monster Promphet 😋
So, how do we know pezosiren actually had legs? I looked at the original paper on the genus and it’s known from fragmentary remains in multiple beds at the site in Jamaica it was found. How do we know the legs belonged to a basal sirenian and not a terrestrial mammal?
More derived sirenian taxa, notably Protosiren smithae, have well preserved limbs found in association with the rest of the skeleton so they could have used this as comparative material.

Ayanami Easter Egg...

Levyatan solo fue encontrado en peru
