Thank you for being interested in Japanese railways. I would like to inform you of one thing you see in this video. After departing Harajuku station, you will see a wooden platform from 3:48 on the right side. This is the special platform only used by the imperial family.
I've been to japan 3 times now. I haven't been back since 2009. I miss it. This video brings back so much memories. The voices on the train intercom, the smell, and sights.
Everytime I listen to these ASMR of Tokyo, I get filled with so much emotion. Emotion of missing Japan immensely. The Tokyo subway is my favorite in the world. Sure, I avoid rush hour at all cost, like I would in any big city. Otherwise, it's my favorite. I remember when I went to Tokyo and Osaka for the first time, I took a day to ride many of the subway lines back and forth. Just to listen to the jingles at every station and get lost in a random neighborhood. Man, I truly miss Japan. I have to make it there by 2021.
Awww....I miss riding on the Yamanote line. I took the train everyday while I was visiting Tokyo 2 years ago. I love the cheerful music at the Shinjuku and Yoyogi station. I miss the JR Yamanote line ! 😍🤩😍🤩❤️❤️
I believe I correctly state that Tokyo is the world's largest metropolis. This video and the countless other videos like it have made us greatly impressed by Tokyo's mass transit system. It is amazing to think that lines like the Yamanote date back to the 1800s. Today's modern trains and stations are clean. The PA announcements are so pleasant. It's like a ride at Disneyland! Thank you for the video. Well done Tokyo.
I took this train line everyday for work when I was there in 1998 on a business trip and so pleased to see the many great changes watching this video. I hope to come back next year on a pleasure trip!
This reminds me and refresh my memory of Tokyo as I always admire how advanced and beautiful Tokyo is and whole of Japan. I was there in 1973-74 and 1991 and always cherish memories of great Japan and its people.
+TokyoStreetView - Japan The Beautiful In 1973-74 Japan was very advanced and beautiful too and I loved to see an Asian country so advanced and competing to much larger and global power USA. Particularly in Railways and autombiles.
15:48 the kid here is talking to his dad about how the train they were on (E235 new at the time) was all green. Train otakus still have a future generation
Incredible. I just got back this past Monday and miss it immensely. I became a huge train nerd after my latest trip and picked up a whole bunch of train souvenirs! These videos are excellent! Great quality and so much fun hearing each station's melody. Thanks for this!
Greetings from Malaysia ! I've been at Tokyo since March 2016. As one of the foreign train fans , I must say , it is fabulous to see one of the busiest train line ever in Tokyo city , nevertheless , precision and time accuracy for the train operator , no matter from JR , Keisei Electric or even until Shinkansen , absolutely amazing. The experiences they bring to me is the best of the best , hontouni arigatou gozaimashita ! Thanks for the video !
I really miss Japan. Even I just got there last year for vacation, I still want to return to Japan for more sightseeing and enjoying the ride. Akihabara, Shibuya, Harajuku, all of the strategic areas are inside Yamanote Line.
Haaaaaaaaahhhh....Tokyo...Japan...so long until I see you again. I miss the time spent there so much. I got chills when I heard the announcer saying "Shinjukuuu Shinjukuuu"....memories....Shinjuku was always the first stop on my daily travel through Tokyo. Thank you for this! ありがとうございまーーす!

Hi! First of all thank you for watching our videos, please do not hesitate to share them and subscriber to our channel if you want to keep up with our new videos. Now, what do you have in mind with the "rides through Japan"? Can you describe what you would like to see? Not promising anything here, but we are always looking forward to add a few category ;-)
Thanks for writing back. I suppose I mean exactly what you did in this video - basically travelling through an area of Japan, by car, or by train, etc., and then after a brief introduction, you let the scenery and environment speak for themselves. It's very interesting experience parts of Japan through actual travel. I've seen some night rides through cities before, but perhaps not at the level of professionalism with which you make your videos. (P.S. I believe you've done a few walkabouts as well of areas of Tokyo - which are also fantastic!)
I absolutely love this video. Please make more like these! I feel like I am back on the train again in Tokyo. I could sit an watch this forever. Thank you so much for making these!

just a quick question to ask if I may, whenever the train comes to a station, is the operator in control of actually opening and Closing the doors, and if so, noticed that once the train stopped, he didnt actually get out of his seat, we have a train system that the operator of the trains lookas out of the trains side window and acually uses button to open and close the door, so the main part of the question is, how does this operator know when its time to close the doors and get the train going again?
I don't think you understand the depths that I am willing to go to for you to do this. Or do another one with a view outside one of the windows to the side. The Yamanote Line in Tokyo is important because many visitors (and even residents of Tokyo) use this line as a reference point to avoid getting lost.
Please note that the Shibuya Station area will substantially change over the next ten years. I'm confused. So basically NY has more infrastructures, but "nobody" uses them, while Tokyo has less yet everyone on the universe used it?
The figures do seem a bit off. :P

You should create time codes for each station.
