Thank you so much...My man calls me so many beautiful igbo names, I needed to do a research and prove to him that I can also call him sweet igbo names. So been making effort to learn the igbo language until I came across your channel. It's amazing how you simplify things and makes it easier for the non igbo to learn and easily assimilate. Looking forward to speaking igbo fluently🙏

Perhaps one of the best way of people knowing their origins is by studying the resemblance of names and some language and behaviour of a tribe and another tribe.I recomend The Luo and the Igbo. both have a connection with Egypt, are egalitarian,Have many similar names and even some have similar meaning. They Behave very same way. though Igbo try to attach their origin to Israel, Luos know that they once existed alongside Israelites who were slaves in Egypt.Hence the common names with Jews like Barack (Barak is a Luo Name). some one could do again these research with today's understanding and technology. The Luo words in ancient Egyptian Language and some of it in Greek language have shown that before Bar El gazal, they came from the north. Digging deeper than what the historians gave us can help alot, I feel the African anthropology and ethnography could be done afresh while basing on some facts that are already established by early studies.

Igbotic Girl, some of these names for men they are patriarchal. I would advise young Igbo women to come up with new romantic names for their male lovers. Those days of male superiority are gone. Husbands are not "lords" or "kings" over their wives. Marriage is not about ruling over one's spouse.
