My son just got me this and I love it. I’m trying my hand at watercolor and I’ve been freehanding all my sketches. This has enabled me to do that more quickly.. not to mention a little better.😁 Anyway.. thanks for the video it was very helpful and you are lovely. Blessed Be🙏🏼🖤

I would love to use it to teach my homeschooled grandchildren (3) art. They love to draw. My oldest granddaughter loves to paint too. So it would be well used by them.
I'm learning watercolor. This opens up a world of uses for me. Very excited about that.

I thought the image would appear on the paper instead of having to look through the mirror. I’ve wear bifocals and it’s difficult using. Hoping I just need to make a few adjustments.

When I use my etchr mirror, the drawing on the paper through the mirror is outlined by not one outline - but two. one darker and one lighter. therefore, it's really difficult to draw. anyone knows why that is?

Did you remove both pieces of film from the mirror?

It does appear in their ads to project onto the paper, which is why I bought it, but it doesn’t. You have to look kind of sideways through the plastic. As a result, hard to see your pen or pencil as you draw under the screen, and you really can’t see pencil lines so well. The limitation on having to be in very controlled lighting is not useful. I find it difficult to use except for the most basic of outlines and image must have high contrast. . I was hoping this would be a good tool for scaling up some architectural sketches; money would have been better spent on a device stand and projector. Etchr... your sketchbooks are awesome, but basically I just bought a really expensive stand for my iPad. This might be good for a beginning artist or kid just doing shapes with bold outlines as in the demo.

Yes, u must look thru the glass. It is 'camera lucida', in this case, literally.
Try using a photocopy machine with ur sketches. Double or triple their size and make multiple copies. Else, buy a projector from an art supply store or an enlarger that used to be used in high schools and colleges.

I agree, i expected this to project on the paper as well. It is difficult to draw complex drawings with this looking from a weird neck side angle, you can only see a small portion at a time, and any bump moves the stand and throws it off. Ok for simple drawings but fantasy art, not good. I contacted customer service and there is no return for dissatisfaction with the product once you unpackage it.

I'm really frustrated getting it to access photos. Installed on iPad Air. When I click on the "photos" grid, all I see for options are "photos" or "albums." How do I get photos that I downloaded to be an option here? Help!

    You said Draw?
    You meant to say trace?
This is not free hand drawing right?
It’s what all the artists used 100 years ago that most people thought they were artists?

Technically it's not free hand drawing. But it's a very handy tool if you want to multiply your drawings on different surfaces or in different sizes, for example, to transfer a small drawing made on thin paper on to watercolor paper to be able to paint it on a larger scale.
