After the pandemic and the war it's nice to see what the holidays were like in Ukraine in the before times. Hopefully it will be possible to enjoy days like this again one day. ❤️🇺🇦🇨🇦
Family together, preparing food, Christmas music playing... things we don't miss and place a special value on having until we've moved away and lived through Christmases without them. Then and *ONLY* then; having them back seems like a gift from God.
when I see you in your video , I can feel my “here and now ” and get myself back . It' s all for your positive energy . “here and now ”is japanese psychology word.
What a lovely family and celebration. My favorite part? I love how your family makes Lorde the sweet puppy part of everything. Dogs are life. I love them more than anything.
Great video so blessed with your family! Family is terrific and sharing the description of the different dishes and traditions, meals, culture shared! That food looks so delicious! Yummy! The dog was even drooling too! LOL Thank you! Jonathan
OMG, what a beautiful memory, Alina! Family and food, lights and tree, people celebrating the moments of their lives and hoping for good things to come! In an English transliteration, “Spacebo!” It found its way into my heart! I’m sooo hungry now! Gotta have some mashed potatoes, with pork gravy. Yes, kievski tort! Bravo and success to the people of Ukraine!
Alina, Thank you so much for sharing. Even though I gave up a month ago when the New Year came, I tried for over 6 yrs. to find my best friend and future wife. I have always heard stories about the food and loving fellowship during the holiday's there and I will cherish this video for a long time. Thanks again for bringing the dream I had in my heart about living in Ukraine and to know such great people you are. May God continue to bless you in your life always!
@@AlinaMcleod А было ощущение, что ты состоишь в основном из оливье?) Обычно такое возникает 3 января) И хочется чего-то странного.. гречки например..)
I came upon this vid of life in Ukraine because on of my favorite bands is Ignea from Ukraine and decided to search how people live there. Nice to be able to see the culture there and wish the Ukraine people prosperity
The food looked amazing. That is the one thing I am looking forward to when I go back to Ukraine. Had lunch at a great floating restaurant in Kyiv, moored on the Dnipro river.
Only just found your videos earlier tonight after looking at L'Viv (torture, been there twice in last 2 years but unlikely to get back this year given the current Covid situation..). Really good videos showing Kyiv and L'Viv, and loved this one showing the New Year prep and celebration. Hope you and your family are safe and well wherever you are right now.
Well, I wasn't hungry before watching this....but now 😋. Fantastic, wonderful Family....we got a cozy feeling watching this. Thank you for sharing this....what a sweet dog too 🐶. Hopes for Goodwill and love to all.
This is absolutely splendid! I'm so glad you made this vlog since I wanted to know more Ukrainian/Eastern European traditions, especially around New Years'. I have now made up my mind to visit Kyiv during the holiday season, regardless of the weather. It looks like a lot of fun!
Very nice stuff! Really appreciate your channel. An honest look of how life is like in Ukraine full of great people and energy! And your delivery is great! We need more videos of Ukraine :)
Super. Never heard the word "molt wine" - I guess this is how Canooks call "glintwine" or warm wine with spices. I am now watching you from Romania, next to the Ukrainian border, and the first thing I should say is that I am absolutelly surprised to see how many traditions we are sharing together. As a matter of fact, I have prepared today the mayonnaise for that salad that you colled Oliver, a salad that is my favorite Christmas dish and that romanians called it "salad a la rousse"-if it does not have meat or "Boeuf Salad", if it has meat, what's ratherly chicken than beef as it.s name says. @@AlinaMcleod You should definitely do. I was there last year and this is now my favorite country in Europe (and I ve been everywhere from Sweden to Albania). Lisboa is a fantastic city, food is one of best I tried (and pretty cheap too), wines are great and people are very friendly. I think it is the most underrated country in the Western Europe.
