I am very impressed with your kuya’s skills to design and renovate his own condominium unit. I am interested to follow the whole process. It is like one of those HGTV series 😊
Awww, thanks for your kind words & support! 🥰❤ Kuya always has a strong passion for the things he's interested in, haha. Glad to hear you're enjoying the renovation series
Cant wait to see the end product of this journey condo project. Learning alot so far👍
So glad to hear that! Thanks bro
Can’t wait to see the finish results 😂👍
Same here, can't wait to see the finished product!
You are lucky to have a kuya that knows how to build his own place and yours happy for your family take care always bgc family no more labor on his own condo .Good for you all.😊❤
Yeah for sure, and we hope his experience here will help guide in the future, should we ever attempt any extensive home renovation projects of our own. Thanks kuya! 😆
So much work to still do I'm sure the place will look spectacular once it's finished Jay 👍🆒
Thanks for your support Jeff! Yup, there's still A LOT of work left to do, haha
@@BGCDreams You're welcome 😎👍
They should make the wall edges rounded (bullnose) instead of sharp square. I need to bring my Mexican friends over there. We'll knock out the remodels in no time.
Jay good thing your Kuya knows about construction. However it’s sad to see the ceiling not getting fixed right. Plumbing is a big hassle when the problem occurs. What I learned to build a house here in the 🇵🇭 is to really watch the workers everyday. My problem for me was waterproofing not the plumbing. I didn’t know that I should’ve waterproof the firewall of my house. The house warranty was done after 2 years then the problem occurred. I saw water on the floor after the typhoon or just raining nonstop. I found out that my contractor didn’t bother telling me that I needed to waterproof my firewall. I didn’t know anything about building a house. I had my cousin who helped me out but she didn’t know either 😂 It’s the first I’ve had a house built l, from the ground up. Good thing I didn’t pay him my last installment due to things I requested and he didn’t do. Next time I build, if I ever will. I need a good contractor who I personally know, not just by someone who was recommended to me. Hopefully your Kuya’s condo will be done soon. My contractor said 6 months but it took 9 months. What budget?! 😂 It’s always going to be over budget!
Oh yeah, plumbing has been a major issue and a nightmare to deal with. Not only for ourselves, but for a lot of people we know... Thanks for sharing those insights Amalia. I'll have to take note of that... As for the renovation taking longer than expected & over budget, I guess kuya is another datapoint that can attest to that! 😆
Nsa bgc kna idol jay
Yes idol 😊 More BGC vlogs soon!
HK trip is done? that was quick... anyway... you guys know what your talking about regarding construction... and quite hands on... and agree... construction work here in the Philippines is sloppy, even with major firms...
Hey Lambert, we're back from HK but nowhere near done processing all the content. I think I filmed 60 gigs worth of video clips so will still need a lot of time to get through them. 😅 We just thought it was a good idea to mix in new content from 🇵🇭 since we're well aware that a large portion of our viewers aren't interested in watching content from outside the Philz. It's just one of those things that you pick up pretty quickly as vloggers based in the Philippines. In any case, we're still really excited to publish more HK views for ourselves and the few people who are enjoying them 😊 In my own opinion, really, nothing opens up your eyes & mind more than getting out there and exploring the world 🤩
@@BGCDreams no problem man... it was just abrupt hehehe... anyway, can't wait for more BGC and construction vlogs... it's amusing how your kuya avoids stressing out with all the "unfortunate" construction with a little humor...
Working Everybody Working 👍👍👍
One day at a time! 💪💪💪💪
What floor are you ? My unit is Tower 1 , hoping no leaks 🙁
We're in Tower 2. All the best! 🙏
what property is this
Some time they have no water 💦
1 year
👍✅🙀✅👍
I can't get over how the condo was fine and you ripped it up to get it just the way you want it. I guess money is no object for you guys.
To be perfectly clear, this home renovation you see here is my brother's and not my own. In fact, you can check out my own unit here in the vlog below:
👉 th-cam.com/video/E3JAQb1PcfI/w-d-xo.html
As you can see, Jenny and myself have basically done zero renovations, outside of just furnishing the unit with very basic materials. In any case, to each their own, and it's not my place to tell anyone what they should or shouldn't do with their own homes...
Also, without proper context, the viewer probably doesn't know that my kuya worked very hard in high-tech for many years, diligently saving his money for this type of opportunity... He wasn't a spoiled rich kid by any means and earned/saved his own money, so the least I can do is support his decision to build his "dream house" 😊
@@BGCDreams it's his hard-earned money of course, and he can do whatever he likes with it. I just can't get over how he said he would throw away the aircon condenser like a piece of scrap paper.
@@meloa4513 I hear you and I understand where you're coming from. Really, it was just a poor choice of words on his part, since I know there's no way he would ever just throw it away without a care in the world... too sayang... and I would never allow him to do that. Most likely, kuya will either donate it to someone... or worst case scenario, he'll list it for sale on the secondary market.
he’s so stressed omg
Just curious, do you drive here in Phils? I’m a foreigner who just started driving here, and I already got scammed by POLICE OFFERS twice! Pulling me over for bullshit reasons and I had to bribe them to make them go away. You experienced anything like this?
Oh man sorry to hear that! In regards to driving, I've never tried out here in the Philz, and data points like your own aren't gonna convince me to give it a shot anytime soon either, haha. I'm really not sure what happened in your situation but I really hope it was just a fluke event(s). All the best!
