Zuko even got the wisdom of Iroh to learn from (who also showed no sympathy for her.) It's even worse when you realize that Azula is a 14 year old kid, Zuko's little sister. Is she a psycho killer? Totally. But no one starts there. That's why it's sympathetic. Shame we never saw a redemption arc for her, honestly.

Her fall may seem sudden, but that is how it often happens. She was elevated to power so soon after being seemingly betrayed by her closest friends and family. Paranoia and rage are the natural consequences. But that is not all she was. She was a girl seeking approval. She was a scared child. Perhaps Ozai's greatest evil was approving her worst actions and teaching her a world view of power for the sake of power. She believed she was born to rule, because Ozai taught her so. I don't know if sociopaths can be reformed, but they can be loved. Her mother loved her, and that is why Azula sees her face in the mirror.
People aren't born Sociopaths, it's impossible, it's acquired through upbringing, and she's not totally sociopath, you can see she's just a scared child who wants love, she also wants to live up to the expectations that others have in her for her, to have been born a prodigy, it made her obsess over perfection, and these facts were what caused she to break down in the end.

If a show has a great final battle music and it fits the scene I will probably use it (this song you have here is a GREAT final battle music, I can imagine the scene...) :D

When I first saw it, I thought it was a normal villain's laugh, but after I saw it again, I realized what it really was, a laugh full of madness and despair.
She was afraid to use lightening because she knew Zuko can redirect it. But when he provoked her, she didn't want to admit that she is afraid to use it so she brust into anger saying " I'll show you lightening".
I don't feel sympathy for what had ultimately become of Azula. She was exceptionally sociopathic even as a little girl. We can only blame her upbringing for so long before you have to question whether she was simply rotten. If having removed all possible circumstances, leaving only who she truly as at her core; if you cannot hold her accountable even then, how is ANYONE responsible for their own actions? No. She is at fault. Her father was megalomaniac, but Azula was *_sick._*
We live in a generation where no one wants to accept responsibility or accountability for their choices and actions. Its easier to blame it on trauma or experiences than accept that you made that decision. This is the mindset of the bulk of Azula fans. Therefore, i agree with you. Azula made those choices. She treated people the way she did because that's the person she is. She is not absolved of her actions because she had issues with her parents. while that may have led to who she is today, it doesn't mean she isn't at fault. We need to learn to accept accountability for our actions. with all that said, im looking forward to her redemption arc coming. As a fan of ATLA, i really hope she gets an amazing story not because she deserved it, but because Zuko's story was so good id love another of that calibur.
