Shakespeare was an incredible psychologist. "dressed myself in humility," "stole courtesy from heaven." Its Henry IV's hypocrisy that drove Hal away in the first place.
Wish I knew what the conversation was about. I'm ashamed to be English and not understand Shakespear. Did he do something he wasn't supposed to but gained his trust to be better in the end? That's all I'm getting from this 🙈
Prince Hal wastes time and gets a bad reputation by getting drunk and partying with trashy friends in seedy pubs instead of working responsibly for the good of the kingdom. His father the King (a responsible, sober guy) is naturally angry and upset with Hal, especially since there's an upcoming military rebellion being led by the Percy noble family (whose son Harry "Hotspur" is responsible and has a good personal reputation unlike Hal) that the King must defeat on the battlefield to keep the throne. After being scolded by his father, Hal vows that he will defeat Hotspur in battle and make his father proud of him.
tom is awesome!!
also the first minute reminds me of loki's sentencing
