    I just bought the same 2016 RV. I have enjoyed all your DYI videos on this RV. Your video helped me decide on which RV I decided to buy.

    Do you like the macerator?

    • @WeRmudfun
      @WeRmudfun  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We LOVE the Macerator! Our stinky slinky is brand new in the box. We have been full time RVing since July 5th and cleaning the tanks is one of the easiest things we do now. We moved all our new RV videos over to our new TH-cam channel, GetGonewithUS. Here is one of those videos about the top 5 must haves for RV Living... th-cam.com/video/Umv64-o9Zck/w-d-xo.html

    The manual was poorly written. What is the setting for me to flush the black?. Thanks for the help. Great job.

    • @WeRmudfun
      @WeRmudfun  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no setting to flush the black tank. Just hook a hose to the to the flush connector and turn it on, it runs off the water pressure in the hose.

    Wishing lots of fun adventures! We purchases our 2015 Percept 31UL last July and love it!!!! Jayco has been wonderful to work with and really minor things to adjust. Great to see this layout. Lots of storage space! Will you be full timing when you retire? Best wishes...

    Congratulations on a wonderful addition to your outdoor adventures. How did you use your Class C RV and will your use of this beautiful Class A be similar? Do you mainly do day trips from the RV or will this new RV be a base camp for overnight and multiday trips? We look forward to your RV related videos as you go forward. Safe journeys!

    • @WeRmudfun
      @WeRmudfun  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! We used the class C as a base camp to stay closer to our destinations for a week or so. The class A will be used in the same manner only will be venturing out to further away locations. That is the plan anyway. :) We are also hoping to use it as full timers when we retire.

    After a year of use what is your opinion, looking at purchasing a 2018?

    • @WeRmudfun
      @WeRmudfun  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not a bad coach. We are still not fans on the on demand water heater, but we have friends who love it. You may have problems that need to be fixed. RV's are not govt' regulated, so a lot of small things will need to be tweaked. That is on all RV's not just Jayco's. That being said Jayco has the longest warranty, 2 years. A lot of the small stuff we fixed ourselves, the bigger things we took it to the dealer for. We are considering going full time in it next August. We would buy it again. :)

    Sweet coach! My wife & I have considered something similar, but we always get waylayed by the thought of pulling a daily driver vehicle. Maybe we're overthinking it. What do you both plan to do in that regard? Thx. Can't wait to see video of your adventures. (PS I'm not an accountant or anything, but if you make a few bucks off Adsense, maybe you can write that baby off on your taxes!). 😝😀

    • @WeRmudfun
      @WeRmudfun  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are over thinking it. LOL We pulled our daily driver behind our last RV four down. I used to turn on the rear camera every so often, just to make sure it was still there, that was the only time I saw it other than turning. :) The Jeep Liberty is still setup to be towed and I still have the same tow bar. Check out this video to see what we use.th-cam.com/video/knpeRQ2zQ_kA/w-d-xo.htmldSense doesn't pay enough for a write off, but that would be sweet! LOL

      Thanks for the reply and the laugh. I see. That's great to hear your experience. I'm going to check out the linked video now, thank you. Maybe Cathy & I should rethink it. :-) I'll keep tuned to your channel for more real-life experiences with towing (especially if you turn on that rearview camera and, voila, no Jeep Liberty!). Cheers!
      [Wait, that's a great video of your tow set-up. Thanks for linking it for me]

      @WeRmudfun  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you liked the link. If this is something you guys are considering, feel free to get a hold of us and ask questions. We have the Class C towing a daily driver behind it for the last 10 years. It's the only way to go camping IMHO. :)

    My wife and I were thinking about trading in our Class C to Albany RV and ordering that same coach! We live right near them. Please keep us updated on how you like it and I am curious about any issues you may have. We found your channel a couple months ago because we were going to add a recliner sofa to our rig. Looks like great minds do think alike! Enjoy the coach.

    • @WeRmudfun
      @WeRmudfun  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      So far we are loving the coach and are very happy with our purchase. We have some additional info we can give you if you want to sent us a PM or shoot us an email. Which Class C do you have? The one we had, when you found our channel we also bought from Albany RV.

    • @WeRmudfun
      @WeRmudfun  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wanted to update you guys. The water heater did stop working right before we went on vacation. Camping World was able to fix it, building debris was clogging the lines, it has worked fine since then and was covered under warranty. As for showers, if we shut it off to lather up, then there is a burst of cold water when you first turn it back on, but I got the same thing with the Atwood. I have read that people turn the kitchen faucet on just a little bit while showering and it doesn't happen. We go out again in 3 weeks, we'll try it then.As for RV One, we no longer recommend them. When we picked up the RV, they damaged the floor, it was all their mistake and they were very apologetic, telling us they will fix it, but we have to leave it or we could take it anywhere we want and just send them the quote and they would cover it. Turns out they are idiots, the woman who was suppose to take care of it turned it in as warranty work for Jayco, read the quote wrong and only applied for what the labor is going to cost. Now Camping World is trying to work with Jayco to get the amount changed so they can replace the floor. RV One has basically wiped their hands clean from us. They have the cheapest prices, but service is a big deal to and their service dept SUCKS! Your call where you want to buy from. We have deleted all references to them from the video. Don't get us wrong though, we love the coach, just hate that dealer. We have bought from them twice, there won't be a third time. C & C

    • @richardbetzwieser6899
      @richardbetzwieser6899 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +WeRmudfun Yeah I have bought 2 RV's from Albany RV. First was a Jayco travel trailer. Absolutely no problems with it so I didn't need service. My Class C however needed numerous service calls. Albany RV did okay, but full disclosure, I am an asshole and I think they just wanted to be rid of me. They are great up until you take delivery. Sorry to hear of your issues. I may have a solution to your initial cold water slug. I had the same issue with my suburban 6 gallon hot water heater. I just bought a oxygenics shower head. It has a slight trickle when I hit the built in shut off button. No more cold slugs! Awesome pressure too. Buy one today, you will not be disappointed! Thanks for the update.

    Do you still like your new RV? My husband and I are shopping for either 2015 or 2016 Jayco percept. Any suggestions? It is very scary! I have heard good and bad. Thanks!

    • @WeRmudfun
      @WeRmudfun  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Considering we haven’t even had it a month yet, yes we still
      love our Precept! Which models are you looking at? The 35s was new in
      2016. Some differences between the 2015 and 2016’s are the driver and passenger seats had no lumbar support in 2015. We can tell you the 2016 seat are comfy, real comfy. The other big difference is the 2016’s have the new 6 speed transmission. We noticed a huge difference in the shifting after being use to our old class C. They say the gas mileage should be better
      too, but if gas mileage is a concern, you really shouldn’t be looking at RV’s.
      There is always going to be things that go wrong on an RV, it’s the nature of the beast. You are driving a house down a highway. That’s like a house moving and experiencing an earthquake at the same time. Keep in mind that about 80% of the things that go wrong are easy fixes that the average owner can fix ourselves.
      Let us know if you have any questions. :)

    • @WeRmudfun
      @WeRmudfun  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The RV drives great. So much better than the class c we had before it. Of course I'm from New England. :)

    • @erics9754
      @erics9754 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks we are looking at this model love your videos you seem like such a nice couple. Me and my wife have a class a Gulfstream 25 foot ultra sport and love it but looking for a larger unit. It has a 8.1 on a workhorse chassis and goes like hell being it is so light.

    • @WeRmudfun
      @WeRmudfun  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Precept is a great RV, lot of bang for the buck when compared to similar models in the price range. The pick up is not bad, but it won't go like hell. LOL Then again when we have our toad behind us, we're about 56 feet long. I really don't want to go that fast anyway. :)

    • @erics9754
      @erics9754 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I know what you mean we have a fast class a because it is so light with a motor they use in rvs up to 39 feet. We can keep up with traffic from a start and have passed cars and they give us a strange look like what the hell. Is your coach in your opinion above the average in quality in this price range. I put a
      Truma comfort on demand water heater in mine and it is hot regardless of water pressure is your like this. My wife was leary since we have heard other on demand units only work when the water is only pissing out of the shower head. Thanks for taking the time in answering our questions. We like the Precept and the Tiffin Allegro 31 SA can not decide between the two. Safe and happy travels Eric and Chona .

    • @WeRmudfun
      @WeRmudfun  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't put the Tiffin and the Precept in the same class, number one they are not even close in length. LOL Our on demand water heater works with the pump or city water. I don't know how the low the pressure would have to be for it not to work. The only problem we have encountered if a cold shot after shutting off the water to lather up. We did replace the shower head with one that you can let the water trickle out to maintain the on demand while lathering up. All that being said, ours has a recall on it to have the gas valves changed, because of the problem that we're having, so we won't know until after that been done. Ours is the 3rd generation, so most of the kinks have been worked out from the previous versions.

      Bauer EM will provide three short beeps, indicating it is ready to accept a new code. Enter the new 4 digit code followed by the BP button . The Bauer EM will provide four short beeps to indicate new code acceptance. This new code will now activate the lock.
      To reset the code, remove the batteries for at least 10 seconds. Re-install the batteries; and follow the steps to Programming New Code.
      Quick Lock Feature - Look for Sticker Indicating this feature on the Battery Compartment Lid Once your personal code has been entered the Bauer EM can be locked by simultaneously touching both the “7|8” and the BP button. Please note this feature is only activated once the personal code is entered.
