Today Boots store optician told me that she saw no diabetic maculopathy retinopathy, however, I agree with intelligence diabetic eye-screening that there are some signs of diabetic maculopathy retinopathy, from what I saw the picture at the optician today there were no lumps, but there definitely is a bruised looking area that now I have seen this looks very much like a mild to moderate hemorrhage - quite central bruise like but not sure which eye. Your information is very helpful. Thank you very much. I see as with many things it is often a learning curve and worth doing some further reading of one's own. I have multiple gastric surgery and severe spondylosis and multiple comorbidities, previous invasive head injury.
thank you this was very helpful as a diabetic who has had no impact on my eyes until now my optometrist was not very worried but the report said moderate and I wanted to understand better.
Mam my father is having severe npdr without macular edema. Also bilateral catract. His doctor advised him to wait for laser treatment for diabetic retinopathy. Will it be fine to wait
Great content. Just diagnosed with severe NPDR but i feel i am probably moderate but the optometrist wants to scare me to see the ophthalmologist which i am scheduled to see. On my scan he showed me a total of 20 or so bleeds total not so much in quarters. Im nervous that the ophthalmologist will do a flouriscien dye test. I hate needles and would prefer the other OCT imagery methods. Is this possible or is the dye test mandatory? Thanks so much..
