I was streaming sets via Tidal and it was great, while playing DJay via my little portable DDJ 200 and ma tablet. It worked great with that. But once i moved into my laptop and tried streaming Tidal into my sets, it WON'T load the BPM nor the Key info. I called Tidal for support but they were useless. I got frustrated. And I had the family plan. Given that Tidal gave me no answers on that regard, I moved on to Beatport. I'm happy with them. Tidal is good when it works but it didn't integrate well with my set up. And their support is no help. It's been a year. Hopefully they've fixed those issues, but I've moved on now. Thanks for the video and recommendations. They're great. 👍
Love to see the growth, Tidal!! that's major. Music knowledge is the most important thing. You can have all the skills in the world but if you're playing songs nobody likes or knows then even as a bedroom DJ you're doing yourself a disservice.
I DJ'd weddings for years and you learn quick you are DJing for yourself. Being rounded in my music knowledge helps to be more creativev when creating a routine. Good knowledge share on this vid
Thanks man!! 🙏🏾 And I couldn't agree more. I remember a few events when I first started and quickly learned that music knowledge is everything at the end of the day -- especially if you want to be a versatile DJ 💯

I never have any luck at wedding events they are either party'ers or lame and boring, now birthday parties are where the good times are at least for me anyway in my area. Only thing is weddings are where the money is. Awesome informative video bro, stay up ✌️💯
You’re welcome! And ahhh, I just meant live in terms of while your out DJ’ing in person (live), you can stream using tidal. May have been confusing the way I said it but I just mean when you’re DJ’ing in real time essentially
@@DJLiftOFF I should’ve understood you bro, it’s all good, after 4 years of bedroom djing,I finally doing a outdoor party Aug 6 and this video helps me out a lot, I’m a little nervous but I have to put myself out there, I appreciate you 🙌🏽

Ok liftoff, I have a gig Saturday coming up, I have tidal now, I have a question, if there WiFi is weak, just in case, can I download the music that I have on Tidal, to my Serato playlist ? So in other words, the music that I have only when I’m on tidal, can I download that to my crates on Serato and just use that when I’m playing at a gig without being on Tidal??
I probably heard you wrong, but I downloaded tidal and got the app on my phone, and I thought you said that we didn’t need WiFi to stream from tidal through Serato??
Hey Rodney, I didn't make it super clear, sorry about that. You can download music and play it offline from your phone or computer, when you will need to have an active internet connection to actually stream Tidal through Serato! I originally thought you stream offline with downloaded music, but WiFI is indeed needed.
@@brunothedeejay you're correct, my mistake! You need an active internet connection to stream through Serato when using Tidal, however you can play tracks offline/download them within the app or on your computer.
Definitely should have said Afrobeats, dancehall, and reggae ahah. My reggae bag isn't too deep but I definitely can have a reggae segment in a mix. You've been on me for a while on that!! I'm slippin!

Very good
Preparation is key! Getting as much info on the event, guests and venue beforehand helps me feel relaxed and play my best possible set.
