I’m completely obsessed with kitsune biyori too! I’ve even been dipping in my oblique pen nib to practice calligraphy. It gives the text a beautiful vintage look. Love all your pen/ink combos!
It was actually your 2023 pens in review video that made me decide to get my beloved Bohemian Twilight blank made into an Onslow! I thought your Augusta Theater turned out so beautifully, and I figured it was worth a shot. So happy I did. Thank you so much for sharing your video and for watching mine. 😍😍😍
Found your channel recently and this video just popped up in recommended. Wow! Such fantastic ink colors here. I think the right page is my favorite (Copper Patina was already on my wishlist, now adding the other three too!) but your three muted purple-beige-gray picks on the left are really opening my mind to more neutral colors… 👀 And your Walltown combo with the Earl Grey Tea is a stunning pairing. Can’t wait to watch your other Currently Inked videos!
Thank you so much for watching! Just as a heads up, I ended up having to add some White Lightning to the Copper Patina by the end of the month in that particular nib. Gorgeous color and great shimmer, but a little dry without some help from an additive. Once added, though, it was full steam ahead.
Oh my goodness, I am loving that Vinta Salfin Green Iridescent! It almost reminds me of an abalone shell, just stunning 🤩 Thank you for sharing your currently inked for this month, I love these sorts of videos. Have a wonderful weekend 😊
I just wish I'd been able to get a better draw from the bottle so you could see the shimmer more in the actual writing. It really is a gorgeous ink - highly recommended! Thanks so much for watching. Hope you have a lovely weekend, too. 😍
Thank you for watching! I really love so many of Dominant Industry's inks - they do such great colors. There's a muted terracotta-type orange (I think it's called Maple) that I really want to pick up the next time I do a big ink haul. So pretty.
Love these colors! I really like the Vinta Salfin green and the Troublemaker copper Patina. I haven't tried any Troublemaker inks yet so I'm adding this to my next sample list.
Thanks so much for watching! Troublemakers are generally pretty dry (at least in my experience), but if you pair them with wet writers, the gorgeous colorways are totally worth it.
Thank you, and I definitely think you should try playing around with mixing inks. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm having such a good time with it, and it's been getting me to use some inks again that I hadn't for a while.
Copper patina does have very large shimmer particles. It clogged my naginata nib…which is so funny because that nib grind can create large lines and thin lines, but I suppose because it creates super thin lines, the shimmer will not work with that grind. Even the flow was slightly slower than I expected in my sailor music nib, but that nib handled it pretty well. I haven’t tested it in my medium dry/average flow writers yet. So I can’t completely attest to just how dry and bad copper patinas shimmers are but it definitely is a dry ink XD Katie from Katie’s fountain pen awakening has used it a lot and she seems to have good luck with it !
I've found that a lot of my Troublemaker inks are pretty dry, so I definitely was worried when I picked this one up, but the shimmer was too much for me to resist. 😅 I'm definitely going to experiment with putting it in other nibs to see how it does. I don't know why I ended up putting it in the SU, since that one does tend to do better with wetter inks. I think I was just overly excited about using it finally. Thanks for the insights, as always. 😍😍😍
OMGoodness! I have the same clip (the cat with the half moon)! I have 2 black cats (Gomez and Morticia) and they look like the cat in the clip; that’s why I bought mine. My Molten Tin ink is more purple than yours, I like your color better than mine. I think the Burlap and Crysan Themum are my favorites from BPC. I just got a sample of Vinta IBID ink this week and when I swatched it and thought that without the shimmer it looked like FWP Moss Park Green to me, both colors I like. I love the Wearinguel Watery Star ink too, such a pretty blue and I have Kitsune Biyori on my list to try too. Love the inks you chose! I’m really in a muted colors (era, LOL) mood these days so I am so scared to try shimmers I’ve had such bad luck with them... Thanks for the video and love your choices... the Queen Oyster ink... I might have to try that :)
Awww. I love that you named your pair of black kitties after the Addams family. Sooooo cuuuuuute! Moss Park has been on my wish list for a long time, along with Peter Moss, so I may have to bump them both up on my to-get list sooner than later. And definitely let me know if you try and mix a bit of Queen Oyster for yourself. Thanks so much for watching!!
I wonder how close in color is the Sailor Yurameku, Kitsune Biyori ink to Birmingham Pen Co Burlap ink? Could you compare swabs of the two inks and let me know? I’d also like to see all the colors you have in ink... At last count I was at 40... I just couldn’t believe it... 40 I just love ink swatching videos and letting go of only having waterproof inks has lead me some beautiful colors :)
I'll definitely try and swatch them and let you know what I discover when I have the chance. I do have an IG photo of my swatch cards up from November '23, but the Birmingham Pen Company shades aren't a part of it: instagram.com/p/CzzVe-fvSsM/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Thank you for watching!!

I hadn't thought about using it for vintage projects, but that sounds lovely!! Thanks so much for watching. 😍
Lovely pairings. And OMG...the Walltown pen is CHEFS KISS and the Zodiac is STUNNING!

@@snarkywordsworth that’s really helpful to know, thank you!
Thank you Christy!! I love the ink pairing with the Golden Abalone! Well done!!
Thank you so much! And I'm still absolutely loving the pen. It really has been an every day carry for me since it landed. :)
I really enjoyed this. Such beautiful inks!!
Thank you so much for watching!

Love your queen oyster colour! I'm inspired to experiment with my diamine ink✒

Beautiful pairings 😍 I’ve added more inks to my sample list!
Thank you for watching! Which inks did you add to your list, btw? 😍
@@snarkywordsworth all except ancient copper - i already have that one 💗

Thank you so much, and thank you for watching!!
I LOVE MY WALLTOWN PEN. HE REALLY MAKES AN EXQUISITE PEN. ❤❤❤
I'm already thinking of more possible future color combos! Thanks so much for watching.
Thans for writing w/ the pens. Sometimes swatching just doesn't give me a feel of what the pen does.
Thank you for watching!
