Also one thing I found about the KN COSM B is that it will mow through any battery kind despite kidde telling the user to use the recommended batteries, I use Duracell power boost for mine and I have not noticed any problems with operation, unlike my XTR BA which causes the alarm to continuously sound the piezo, and it probably has the same reaction with the BA

Man Kidde has totally ruined the BA’s. The B’s will always be better

@@SteelCityAlarmsit is a sin that they even replaced those, kidde has been on a slight downwards spiral ever since late 2014, and especially with the trusense incident, they really have downgraded themselves

@@doozy435 Yeah. They crossed the line when the CUAR was produced. However, I saw that KN-COPE-IC’s (very good alarm) were still made in 2023. Maybe they still make em for an exclusive, a special order, or a specific Kidde located somewhere around here still produce em. All I know is the copes and the BA series were very likely discontinued for the main public and replaced by the stupid CUAR. Although they still make great stuff today, I prefer First Alert for a combination alarm if I need to buy one physically.

@@SteelCityAlarms nothing will beat the past sadly, but as you said, I feel like kidde still manufactures the BA and COPE D/ICs since when I go to my local Walmart or Home Depot, I still see them lying around (I live in the New England area)
